The Grill On The Drive
Whether a casual night out, or a more sophisticated dining experience, we are ready to serve you!
Went with. Group of 7 people on a Friday evening. The restaurant was about 2/3 full. Service was horrendous. It took about 15 minutes for our cocktails to arrive and well over an hour for dinner to come most orders were off the specials menu and consisted of sandwiches one order was not. Food was delicious when it came but doubt we will return anytime soon. Very disappointing
Meredith the bartender was great very friendly. Great to see women behind the bar instead of men all the time. Food could be improved .Quality of food. Fish was good shrimp were tough .Escargot tough not enough taste .Most likly the butter you are using plus need better quality escargot. There was not music that night we went on a Monday. Would go back again for drinks I don't know about food. Dining area lighting should be a little dimmer. I was in the food and beverage industry for 30 years from waitress to Bartender ,catering manager ,yacht parties ,weddings etc.
Food and service was great
Went there for a traditional Irish meal in honor of St Patrick’s day. Corned beef and cabbage as one of the advertised meals. Service was great, but the food was u acceptable. Corned beef was tough, and cabbage was undercooked. Potatos were good, but just a couple of slices of carrots. For the price I expected much more. Didn’t complain, but won’t be back anytime soon.
Really good food and fun atmosphere. Had filet mignon and it was delicious and cooked perfectly. My only negative is that, although they advertise as a steakhouse, they don't offer béarnaise sauce for the steaks.
Enjoyed the Early Dinner Special Of Pork Ribeye and Mashed Potatoes. The food, drink, service, and ambiance were very good and a nice value. I recommend trying it and will do so again on a return visit.
Very good as usuals
Very good ambiance and service is perfect
Walked in 10 minutes before reservation and got sat immediately. Jen then greeted us, took our drink orders and gave us a few minutes to decide on our entrees. My girlfriend ordered the 12oz NY strip well done with a side salad and a mash potatoes. Mashed potatoes were dry and tasteless, salad had pieces of bad lettuce, she received a medium cooked steak. I ordered the 12oz NY strip also, well done with the Parmesan truffle fries. The truffle fries were burnt and receivers a medium well cooked steak.
Manager came over briefly, not really concerned about the issue and said he’d get our server right over and that he’d give us a dessert. The “newly” cooked steaks came out (the same steaks that we had cut in pieces just thrown on the grill), and they still weren’t cooked well done the second time. My girlfriend received the same mashed potatoes that were soaked in blood from the previously cooked steak.
Needless to say we were very disappointed and over it at this point. We never received our “dessert”.
This is the third time we went and will be the last. The server was pleasant but the wait time seemed to be too long for the food. The portions relative to the pricing is not in line with a
" moderately" priced establishment. Translation for us was way out of line for two people with no alcoholic beverages and one appetizer which was on the minimal portion side of things. Was hoping 3rd time was a charm but it was not
We were purposely seated in the Cabaret Room for a popular duo's performance. The tables were incredibly close and it was very loud in the room.
Our group has eaten at the Grille twice in the last two weeks and everything was excellent both times.
We had a very delicious meal at the Grill . we shared the prime rib last beef, along with the spinach dip appetizer. The service was a bit slow but very attentive. The atmosphere is lively and crowded. we would go back as the other entrees looked very good.
Had reservations and was seated quickly. Took a long time to get our order taken. Server rarely came to table. Food took some time however the steak, ordered well, was med rare and seared tuna was cold as if placed in refrigerator. Manager did apologize and comped the meal, however this is second bad experience here. Doubtful we will try again.
Over all I thought it's ok. A hundred and thirteen dollars was a bit much for a okay meal that is the best I can say for your service was excellent and the sound level was good
The seating was fairly cramped, but the entertainment was very good. My fillet mignon was perfect, but the temperature of the food was warm not hot. The service was decent. Even though we had reservations, they were still setting up our table at the arrival time.
Overall we enjoyed the evening except for the service. The server did not seem engaged and did not listen well when taking the order which caused the order to not come out correctly. We also saw an elderly woman fall off her chair more than once and didn’t see any management come to assist.
Went for dinner. Nicely decorated restaurant. Service was attentive without being overbearing. Very friendly. Food was good. One negative was that two had steaks and the third a veal chop. Unfortunately the temperatures of the meats were all off the mark. The veal ordered medium came out medium rare to rare in parts. My tenderloin ordered medium rare came out closer to medium well. Third steak was undercooked. Asparagus was thick and woody. Not end of the world but not 5 star either
While our food was very good, it’s a bit pricey compared to other comparable restaurants.
Good food and drinks are to be found at this nice little spot. Though the real star of the show here is their wonderful piano lounge !
This was the second time going to The Grille. First was for brunch when they opened and then Saturday night for dinner. Had a reservation but seated right away. Service was excellent and so was the food. I was pleasantly surprised and will be there again.
Good food and drinks are to be found here. Good atmosphere. The real star of the show here is their nice piano lounge !

Service was very slow. Lots of empty tables and we had to wait 1/2 hour to be seated. Food also took a very long time to come out. Kitchen was very inconsistent. One member of my party had pasta as a side and it came out in a bowl with tomato sauce. Another member had the same thing but it came out on same plate as his entre but dry. At the end waiter brought the check before everyone was done eating. Food was just ok.
The ambience with the piano is awesome. Service was very slow. Only had one waiter for over 7 tables. He was extremely nice but it was too many tables to handle by himself & service was super slow. The drinks were awful so we suggest they should hire new bartenders or retrain the ones they have now.
Met a few friends for dinner. The meals were great. I can't get enough of the skirt steak! We had no idea there would be entertainment that evening so that was an enjoyable surprise.
Our group of eleven men enjoyed cocktails outside as it was a nice evening. From that group, seven of us dined and everyone was impressed with the service, from Jim, and the quality of the food. I started with a delicious salad of variety then had the sirloin, perfectly cooked as requested, and a large baked potato that came with all the fixings. Scrumptious! Two had the filet and said it was one of, if not the best, they'd ever had.
The sound level from the Cabaret is almost too loud in the dining room. This is an improvement over the former establishment where watered down drinks were 2 for 1. Our drinks were similarly watered down, but there was no 2 for 1 promotion. The 1 for 1 drinks should be regular strength. Thanks.
Wish that they still did the Sunday buffet brunch like the old Tropics.
The staff was friendly and accommodating. There was live music in the other room but it didn’t overpower our area. Great food selection and wine selection. Will definitely be back!
Piano player, Manny, was delightful in the cabaret room.
Bar tender, Sean, was great for initial cocktails!
The escargot appetizer was very flavorful!
My companion and I both ordered the grouper Francaise entree.
WhIle my companion enjoyed the accompanying lemon butter white wine sauce,
it didn't appeal to me. I guess just a personal thing for me, but it didn't seem to
compliment the delicate flavor of the fish.
Overall, the experience of the visit was pleasurable!
It was great. Good food & good service.
we never got to eat . they ran out of certain items early in the evening and we never got to eat.
they ran out of gas in the kitchen.
waited one and a half hours and then were told they ran out of gas in the kitchen.
we got up and left.
the waitress however was wonderful with what she had to work with and we generously tipped her.
we were 6 people and we all agreed it was a disasterous night out
We went to The Grill on the Drive for New Year’s Eve. The service wasn’t very good. Wait staff and host seemed uninterested in being there on New Year’s Eve. I can understand, but we chose this restaurant to celebrate and expected at least friendly service. The host seated us and we waited about 15 minutes and no server approached. Another customer asked why we weren’t being helped. That’s when I went back to the host counter and requested service. A server dropped off a drink menu and left never to return. Come to find out that night champagne was included and normal drink menu wasn’t being used. We finally had another host came by to check on us. We explain the situation and she got someone else to help. Luckily our new server was professional and able to save our experience.
The food was very good and the night ended good. The music and entertainment was nice. Hope next year the restaurant will actively seek staff willing people to make the service as nice as the food.
Good luck if you choose The Grill. You’ll love the food, hopefully you’ll love the service.
They were unprepared for the amount of reservations they took for New Years Eve. They were understaffed, kitchen was not big enough and since there was a fixed menu, you would think they had meals prepared and ready to go, but no. I would not recommend going here on a holiday.
Poor management. Lack of properly trained waiters. Food mediocrity at best.
Good value for New Year eve
New Years Eve was fantastic!
Portions were quite small for the price charged. The time before when I went there the meals included the salad bar which had soup and shrimp on it. Although the food was tasty portions of the meat grilled vegetables and salad were extremely small .
Restaurant might be a good value for the early bird but not at the full dinner price menu.
We loved it! Everyone was so nice and the food and music was excellent! It was a really nice evening and we will go back for sure! Thank you!
