There were 10 of us at dinner the night we went to the Grill on Main. We all agreed that the dishes were excellent. It was the best meal we ate on the Island.

We enjoyed dining here. The food is great the service was great. We go here every year when we are on vacation on Martha's Vineyard

We intended to eat inside, because we were staying on a sailboat, but the inside smelled a little musty, so we opted to eat outside adjacent to upper main street. I ordered a summer salad which contained some watermelon, and my wife ordered a Caesar salad. The waitress dropped a piece of watermelon on the table when serving it, apologized, but left it there for the entire meal. My salad was ok. My wife's salad had no anchovies and the dressing tasted like a very mediocre store boughten Caesar dressing. We shared one order of crispy calamari, which was light and tasty. I ordered the special, which was salmon, and it was well prepared. My wife ordered swordfish, which was overlooked and tasted so bad she ate a couple bites and left the rest. Our main courses came with couscous and asparagus. The couscous was mediocre and our asparagus was OK, except that it had obviously not been well cleaned, because it was gritty. My salmon cost $34.95 and my wife's swordfish cost $26.95, neither of which do I consider inexpensive.

The noise level hits you right away. It's a little crowded. BUT, the food is awesome. We shared a salad, grilled clams, and the market steak. Racer 5 on tap. Fantastic meal.
