The Grill From Ipanema Ratings and Reviews
The service and staff are incredible! The food is so amazing. I have dreams about the grilled cinnamon pineapple. We knocked over our water and the staff were so quick to help clean it up and made us feel like it was no big deal and were happy to get us back on to our dinner. I look forward to going back again and again!
We took another couple with us that had never been to a Brazilian restaurant. Both men are big meat eaters so they were excited. We had reservations but arrived about 15 minutes early. We were seated right away and the waitress explained how the whole thing works. All of the food was prepared well. The salad bar was well stocked and kept clean. The pasidors came by frequently with many options of meat. We used 2 Groupons with no problem. We will definitely go again!
A friend of mine and I used a $60 Groupon for dinner here and with 2 glasses of wine the bill still came to $45 a piece, which was pretty expensive for the quality of the food served. The food wasn't bad - it just wasn't all that good and for my money (i.e. if I were going to spend that kind of money for dinner) there are better places around town. This strikes me as a "quantity vs. quality" place.
I was a bit disappointed that altho the reservation was not only on-line, but also called in, that the staff seemed unaware that we had a reservation and our group was sort of stuck in a corner. Also, it was for a birthday, but no mention of it by wait staff or offer to bring out a dessert.
On the plus side, the food was fantastic and we would definitely eat here again.
Out of all the Brazillian Steakhouse/Grills I've been to, this one was the most bland. The meat was cooked to perfection, but the flavor was seriously lacking. The salad bar was boring too compared to other restaurants like this one. They had only 3 options for hot side foods and a pretty lackluster salad selection. The service and environment were amazing though.
Every time we come here, the food is super fresh and delicious. I can always see the juices pouring out of the meats and never spend a lot of time chewing. The service is very good, swift and friendly. The ambiance is usually nice. Quite expensive but worth it.
Abundant food for a hungry stomach. Meat selections were not as extensive as we thought it would be. Service was a little slow, but pleasant. Make sure to use a Groupon. It will save lots of money. However, it's hard to find parking. We parked across the street and we paid $14. Welcome to Seattle!
This was a wonderful restaurant with excellent cuisine, atmosphere and service. It speaks volumes when you’re greeted by someone who makes eye contact and works to connect with your party. Our out of town relative from L.A. considers herself a foodie and was very impressed. Needless to say- we’ll be back. Great place for growing teen boys who love to eat😊 Thank you for the memorable experience.
Our second time so we knew how the system works and how to pace ourselves through drinks and the food bar in preparation for the meat feast. We like our meat on the rare side and were a little disappointed that some of the cuts presented were too well done and consequently not particularly tender. The majority were excellent. On the non-meat side, I particularly like the grilled pineapple. The coconut creme brulee was rich and delicious and we rolled home.
I was able to go to one of these resultant a in Florida. I was so excited to take my husband here in Seattle. Was not very impressed:(
The service was just okay~ the food was good, but we did ask for a certain kind of meat and thy said sure, but never came back :(
My husband asked 3 times for horseradish, we were almost done with dinner by the time it arrrived.
We sat next to a couple that said it was NOTHING like the one in Bellevue wash.
So if I were to go again I’d check out the one in Bellevue.
Service was horrible. We reserved a table by the window and the lady was super rude and told us the tables by the window were reserved? Well yeah cause we reserved it! She just walked off and sat us in the corner. Also was trying to get a drink at the bar while we were waiting for our reservation and was looking at a menu. The bartender just said happy hour is over and never came back. The bar wasn’t even busy. They need to work on there costermer service
I've been there twice in the last month for birthdays. It's a bit spendy, but well worth it! Make sure you are HUNGRY! A bit of advise: make sure you eat the pineapple (enzymes to help break down the meat) or take some kind of enzymes before or after your meal. Yummmm! So good! Every time birthday time rolls around my adult kids or their spouses always pick Ipanema for their b-day dinner or lunch. Great food! Now my friends want to go their for their b-day every year.
The food was delicious but our server wasn’t the best. He dropped off our drinks we ordered and then quickly left. We sat there a good five minutes not sure what to do until we saw a lady that worked there and called her over. She explained everything to us and then we began eating. The food was really good besides the experience. I would still recommend people to eat there.
Rodizio style restaurants are great places to try a lot of different meats.
My husband and I sampled at least 10 meats and there were more that we didn’t get to.
It’s perfect for a big group because of the variety of choices.
Warning: utilize the buffet salad bar wisely to augment the meat slices otherwise meat overload. Pace yourself!
Once again, blown away by how amazing this place is. The food is absolutely delicious, far and above better than almost any other place I’ve eaten at. The meat is cooked to perfection and the salad bar has plenty of options and diversity. The cinnamon grilled pineapple is TO DIE FOR, and can’t forget to mention the cinnamon fried banana they brought by. Meal sent from the gods above, I love coming here and would come much more often if it was just a bit more affordable.
