The Grill From Ipanema
The Grill From Ipanema in Seattle is all about Rodízio, a popular Brazilian style of enjoying dinner among friends and a truly unique dining experience. Rodízio offers a wide variety of different cuts of grilled meats slowly roasted in specially designed charcoal grills. Served continuously by "passadores" or "gauchos" with food brought on skewers or carved to order tableside, servers make their rounds until guests can’t take another bite. Dining at The Grill From Ipanema also includes unlimited visits to the "mesa de frios" (cold table) for an array of cold cuts, cheeses, and exotic Brazilian specialties.
Decided to come here on a Wednesday Night and it was perfect! The ambiance was wonderful and even a great view of the mountains and the water as well. Would highly recommend! The staff was wonderful and friendly!
We enjoyed our experience immensely! The food was excellent as was the service. We came for our first wedding anniversary and we will definitely come back at some point.
We always come here for our big celebrations, and everyone is always happy and left wanting more, even while we're in food comas!
Was 15 minutes before we got water, Took 20 minutes to get drinks. The waiter also forgot another drink my wife requested. Overall we were disappointed. When you pay nearly 200$ for a birthday dinner you’d expect a different level of service. I don’t know if we will return
Love this place! Favorite after Tough Mudder dinner!!
We had a large group. The food was fabulous. The meat servers were great and there were enough of them. They were short on waiters which made getting drinks and dessert slow. Everyone was kind. They just needed at least one more person on staff. We would return for an additional event as it’s s great food model for a large group.
Food was OK. Service was slow. We were passed over for food several times so we had to leave without any seafood or other cuts of meat. The ceasar salad was very good.
Meats were very salty and we only really saw a variety of 6-7 meats not 17 as stated. Salad bar is pretty tacky, I really liked when during the limited capacity they brought out the plates to you, I think if it were like that it would be worth the money.
The food is very good however, for the price point I think a desert should be included. Our first experience here was a lot better than the second. We came here for a special occasion but our server did not make it feel like that. I would also recommend going earlier in the evening so you can taste all of the varieties of meats offered.
This is one of the best places to go and have a great time with friends and family love it
There was no menu for first time diners so we had no idea what we were paying. Only a drink menu. The salad bar was old. The waiters and staff were busy worrying about a patron who took meat with them than the current customers. It would be nice if you offered a plate of food to order. The best thing that we had was the garlic rice and the garlic steak. Everything else was in a poor state. The chicken smelled weird. The food on the salad bar had fruit flies. The drinks were not great. I brought my friend from out of town and we had to go somewhere else to eat after leaving.
Great experience for my lady’s birthday.
First time to Seattle loved the food great service definitely will be coming back on the next trip.
Delicious and good variety of meats & seafood skewers. Load up on their house-made chimichurri - it's one of the best I've tasted. Their salad bar was a solid 3 stars, with a decent selection of pasta, carbs (their mashed potatoes were fabulously garlicky and creamy), and mixed salads (think beets, quinoa, etc.), but lacking some choice in the cheese and bread.
Unfortunately, the service was just okay. Our server was very nice but took 20 minutes to bring our drink orders (we were a party of 5 adults), and then disappeared for the remaining hour we were there. Too bad, because we probably would ordered a few more cocktails if he had checked on us.
Overall a good experience and I would recommend going for the food, but plan for lots of extra time between cocktails.
First experience at a Brazilian steak house. I was unaware of the process. Great service & food. Just a misstep for the member in our group who is Vegan. At least able to find a filling meal from the salad bar.
The servers are constantly moving.
Great ambiance and service. They need more choices of sides.
could’ve been darker and i got the feeling that y’all were closing for most of my visit, felt slightly rushed. still had a great time tho,
Salad bar was nasty. Your stomach will tell you the next day
Went to The Grill from Ipanema to celebrate a birthday. Food was delicious - especially the steaks. Multiple kinds, seasoned well, cooked near perfect. Wish they had additional chicken, sausage options as well. Wait staff was great. Food came around at a very good pace as well. Will definitely go back if I'm in Seattle to celebrate.
We made an impromptu decision to grab dinner and majority of places were full. We got lucky with this place! The people, food and ambiance were amazing. The meat was delicious and tender, and the food was everything we needed after a day of wine tasting and exploring.
It was all good.
It was good. Service from wait staff was a little slow, but he also appeared to be the only one for all the tables so great effort on his part.
Nice experience, the food was fantastic, loved how they come around for you taste all the different meats they offer, the staff was great! I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you want a different experience.
The moment you walk in you smell smoky flavor and are politely welcomed! We had a wonderful server Lazi who was informative and attentive to our service, this was our first time here and it was wonderful! Unlimited salad/cold meat bar and a buffet of skewered meats at your command. Although the drinks quickly add up almost $13 each, I felt they were although tasteful weren’t very strong…my only disappointment but by no means ruined the experience. Dessert was spot on and the pacing of the whole meal could be enjoyed with my group as we were able to savor and chat throughout our meal. Would VERY highly recommend!
Amazing food. Amazing service
Amazing as always. Look forward to going again. Have recommended to many friends.
Really good selection of meats, all quite good. Helps to be a carnivore.
Delicious food, lots of meat choices that came around constantly. We left stuffed!! Made our last meal in Seattle extra special to end our vacation.
This restaurant consistently delivers high-quality food and a fun atmosphere. My date and I arrived early (5:45 as we had tickets to a show later) and were seated immediately. We hit the salad bar for some starters -- there were four salads and we had a bit of each. We had too much meat (our fault -- we wanted to try everything) and then split a chocolate cake for dessert. The cake was rich and dense and excellent.
My only quibble was that there was only one server who could get us our check and he was run off his feet. It took about 10 minutes longer than it should have to get the check. But it's probably because we were dining so early.
Amazing staff and food! Will be coming back next time we’re in Seattle!
Food and service were great. Food tasted better than previous visit. A little bit salty, but that could be because I’ve been cutting out salt from diet. Would appreciate more descriptive wine menu (include year).
Definitely not as good as the last time we were there last year. The side were not very good at all. The steak was in the salty side.
We haven't been able to come in a long time, and it was just as good as we remember, if not better!
Meat portions given. Poor salad bar.
Great food, good drinks, good time! Will go again soon!!!
There were 10 of us and the food just kept on coming! The service was great from everyone. A bit spendy but well worth the experience:)
Will not be back.
Food and service were excellent!! We had a great time. The Flan with Caramel Sauce was fabulous!! A definite must have!!
Barely any food being rotated around. Went in on a Saturday at 7pm and they ran out of picanha. The most popular meat. The server was rude and the the staff all
Had attitude except the ladies working there serving and the hostess was nice. But I will go to the bellevue steakhouse from now on
Went for my sons birthday while in Seattle. Guessing they were short staffed? Very inconsistent timing of meats. If you liked something you tried it and maybe got a 1 oz portion. Then it was 30-45 minutes before it came around again. Or if it did the server hit three tables and it was gone. Then due to the delay if you asked for two slices the reaction made you feel guilty. Grilled pineapple was over an hour between servings. Even when we tried asking for something specific it was 15 minutes at least before it came out. Food tasted good, but for what we spent we should have gone to a Morton’s or similar and would have had a better experience. And despite noting the special occasion no one acknowledged it. Also disappointing. They also need to rethink their shades. The view is nice but in the evening 7pm the sun was blasting most tables. I couldn’t see my daughter across the table without putting my hand in front of my face. In general good food poor execution made for a bad experience.
