Seated immediately upon arrival. Service was excellent from beginning to end. Beautiful views from our area of the dining room. Food was awesome. Thank you everyone at The Grill at Hacienda del Sol!!!!
The meal was delicious and the service outstanding!
One of our favorite places to eat. We’ve never been disappointed
We loved our dinner at the Grill at Hacienda Del Sol! This was our last night on a week-long trip to Tucson, and it did not disappoint! The food was amazing, service was on point, and the decor/ambiance was beautiful. Plus you can’t beat the views from their floor to ceiling windows in the back rooms, facing the city and mountains. Highly recommend for any occasion! Also highly recommend staying at their guest ranch, which surrounds the grill restaurant. Such a gem! We will definitely be back.
Lamb chops were so overdone, sad to say but they were the worst I’ve ever had
Location was so nice, it is a beautiful place
My sisters filet was good
Excellent. Nick was a delight. And piano player wonderful.
Excellent food. Great wine list but unable to buy specialty wines by the glass. Staff were great
It was a FAB dining experience! Our very 1st indoor dining in a year. Excellent social distancing and we absolutely love this place!
HDS does not disappoint. The food is excellent, the drinks are well prepared, and the dining area is quiet so you can actually talk to those at the table with you.
We had the Caesar Salad and the anchovies weren't salty. We had the fish and lobster fettuccine. They were excellent. For dessert we had the donuts. Get the donuts.
Oh of course we'll be back.
The food was absolutely amazing! Great view and a beautiful view!
First time we were there and it was a great experience. We had heard about it from friends and they gave us a gift card for our 50th anniversary in 2020. Due to COVID we didn’t spend a night there and enjoy the breakfast we heard so much about. But we did have an excellent meal with a wonderful server.
The mountains and sunset was just breathtaking.
Specifically reserved a table with a view of the sunset. We originally were put in a room with no view. We had driven 30 mins and had told them it was a special occasion. Following a discussion with the manager, our hostess came back and seated us at a table with a view. It was lovely.
Appetizers were very good, scallops and crostini’s. The entree; however, was disappointing and the indifference to our complaint was the deal breaker. Two of us ordered the Pork chop, one was okay, mine was served uncooked. The waiter did not circle back around to inquire until 15-20 mins later, at which point the other guests had nearly finished their meals. He agreed the pork chop was not cooked. He said he would take it back to the kitchen but at that point the others were finishing their meals, and honestly, I had no appetite.
Nothing else was mentioned. No apology. No “we will certainly remove this from the bill.” Nothing. Not a word.
We skipped dessert and coffee/after dinner drinks and asked for our check. The cost of the raw pork chop was included in the final check.
The fix would have been very simple and appropriate.. No charge for the uncooked pork chop that went uneaten, an apology, and we would have ordered up drinks and desserts. More importantly, we would have been a returning customer and customers who would have shared our positive experience with others. Instead, I’m writing this,
Very disappointing experience.
Service was uneven and slow
Wonderful place to dine. I would say it was amongst the best meals we had during our stay in Tucson.
Great location for a nice "fancy" dinner event. I took my wife here for our 3 year wedding anniversary, and she absolutely loved it. The ambience and personality of the restaurant were great. The food, and wine selections were marvelous. The dessert was well worth the calories! I fully recommend making plans to experience this establishment.
Best lamb I’ve ever had!! Amazing service, we ran late but they were very accommodating!! Very charming resort with great views.
On previous times when we dined here, we were seated in the "enclosed glass windowed patio" area. Not this time, we were seated in an interior room with a small two person table, one seated on a padded bench up against a wall. It felt like dining at a Dennys cafe and I was very disappointed. This table does not do this restaurant justice nor its customers. When I complained to the person seating us, I was told no more tables were available. While thinking about just leaving or perhaps eating in the bar area, our server came by and re seated us at a much better table. From that point on it was a great experience. Service was excellent and our meal was very good. Overall not as good as before but still made it a nice evening. Get rid of that table and bench seating.
This is our go to restaurant for all things celebration. We can always count on the staff and chef to take care of us. The waiter on this particular night was outstanding. I recommend the Grille every chance I can for food and view.
Place is beautiful....food ok. Fettuccine noodles were under cooked and French onion soup was very sweet which was not what we expected. Appetizers were very good. Service was excellent!
We had a truly wonderful meal! Brussel Sprouts appetizer was delicious, the Kurobuta Pork Chop and Beef Fillet entrees were sumptuous, perfectly cooked and generous portions. The Grill at Hacienda del Sol never disappoints and that's why we like to go there for birthdays and special occasions.
Very nice overall. Would dine again and recommend to all.
All was ok but not great and it was somewhat pricey
Amazing service and food..we had a great time. Will definitely be back
Consistently great restaurant in a beutiful setting.
Excellent meal as per usual. Service was also outstanding. However, the patio heaters leave something to be desired. Minimal heat output.
Was disappointed with the greatly reduced amount of menu selections but understand this is due to COvID10
We had a beautiful meal. The restaurant was lovely, our server was Great and the meal superb!
Great food, perfectly prepared and artfully presented AND the onion soup has a depth of flavor that is unmatched anywhere. The service is kind, attentive and professional. Yes it’s pricey but worth every dollar.
Want to support our local fine dining restaurants. Our evening at the Grill was wonderful...almost felt normal! Will notice no valet service due to COVID and a choice of std or outdoor seating options.
Parking no trouble and seating inside felt safe and separated. Plenty of table spacing and staff very diligent...gloves, masks, even placing napkin/silverware setup using tongs.
Service was outstanding backed up by quiet piano music to keep the mood.
Warm Brussel sprout salad large enough to share and very seasonally flavored. Blue cheese topped filet was cooked to perfection and melted in your mouth. Pork entree was very generous. In hindsight we could’ve shared and walked away very full. Good news we have another wonderful meal to share as “leftovers”.
Highly recommended. Our experience was so nice and “normal”...when we stood up from our table to leave almost forgot to mask up!
The Grill is a “must visit” for anyone vacationing (or living) in Tucson. My family and I have been coming for 25 years and Hacienda Del Sol is on our short list of restaurants we visit year after year.
The meats, seafood and salads are all great. We have dined a friend with serious diet restrictions and he was accompanied (called in advance to talk with chef) with a five star meal.
A true dining experience with first class waiters, a great wine list and a wonderful piano player that sets the mood for a romantic dinner or an annual celebration.
Although we are in the pandemic and the restaurant was empty, the Piano Player kept playing. The ambiance was delightful and we could not have been more pleased
The brussel sprouts were amazing.
Low score on the House Made Lobster Fettuccine which might have had 1/8 cup of lobster. Maybe.
Rack of Lamb was disappointing in flavor.
The Boston Cream Cake was 2" x 4"- it looked like it was half a slice.
High prices/low value.
Had a small Holiday celebration dinner here with work team. Food was delicious but a little overpriced for less creative menu items than I was expecting. Service wasn’t as friendly as I remembered in the Before Times, and less xmas decor than expected but overall we had a lovely time and I understand lots of places are trying to do the best they can these days so still 4 stars.
Great setting, superb service and outstanding food.
A neat place to "escape to" for a fun meal anytime we are in Tucson. Ambiance is cool, and the service and food make the trifecta complete.
Service was very slow.
My wife and I had the scallops on the starter menu and my daughter had the salmon. We all thought that the food was very good-excellent. The Hacienda never disappoints; the service was excellent as was the ambiance. Highly recommended.
We went for my parent’s birthdays. They ambiance was great with impressive views of the city. And the food was top notch.
Finally, the Covid safety protocols were done well.
My husband and I never miss the opportunity to eat at The Grill when we are in Tuscon! Every Aspect of The Grill is Perfection even the piano player!
Spent our 43rd wedding anniversary here and had a great evening! We love it overtime!
