We sat outdoors and there were only a couple of occupied tables, so it was quiet. Service was excellent. Food was great as always. Large portions.

The Grille at Blackhawk has great classic dishes and great service! It is great that there always seems to be seating available but it seems strange given it is best in the area. No other nearby restaurant measures up - even though some are pretty good.

It's been a while since we have eaten here. Some entrees are very high priced (steak/scallops/fish). Our server was nice and friendly. Drink service was quite slow though. And the place wasn't clean. Floor needed a serious vacuuming, table was sticky. It felt a bit old and tired.

So happy that holiday buffets are back at The Grille at Blackhawk. Food was fresh, hot and well displayed. The poached salmon was moist, tasty, and delicious. The carved ham was tender, flavorful and had a wonderful house made chutney. The roasted chicken was hot, tender, and crispy. The brunch breakfast items were hot and plentiful. The fruits were fresh and beautifully sliced. Many other choices were displayed too with a nice table of sweets including carrot cake, brownies, petit fours, apple galette, and truffles. The servers and staff are so friendly and worked hard. Beautiful day for an Easter Buffet overlooking the ducks in the pond outside. Best restaurant location in Danville!

My Daughter has Egg allergies, first of all our waiter didn’t have a clue of what on the menu was safe for her to eat, after going to the kitchen several times we were told that Hamburger and the fries were safe. After we got our order my daughter asked me to ask the waiter to make sure that the fries were not cooked in peanut oil. When I asked the waiter to double check he came back from the kitchen apologizing that the hamburger buns contain Eggs and the fries are in fact cooked in peanut oil… horrible experience I should be giving them a Zero Star rating..

The food as this place was absolutely amazing and the service was so kind and personal! They gave me a lovely slice of cake and bread pudding for my birthday. It made me feel very special! Would recommend to anyone coming to or living in Danville.

We haven't been to the new Grill until yesterday and sadly we won't be going back. The service was terrible and the food was just ok. Nothing special... Too bad as we love the location and was hoping that the new restaurant had turned around to be out next "go-to".

For my wife and I’s Valentine’s Day date, I decided to take her to Blackhawk Grille. We brought our own bottle of wine ( which we finished:)) and Evelyn was our server. Although the portions were somewhat shy, the flavor was amazing and did not disappoint. We had the Halibut, which is always a treat, and we appreciated the great service. It took a little bit to be served at first but Evelyn did a great job making sure we were taking care of. The Manager Mike came over and introduced himself to check on every which made us feel important as customers. Great job and we will definitely go back for another date.

Food is always good. Although a bit pricey, you get generous portions on the entrees. Although only a few other tables were occupied, sounds from staff added to the noise. Inside the restaurant the noise tends to bounce off the concrete floor, glass walls etc. It is quieter outside if there aren't many occupied tables. Lovely location.

I made a reservation through open table for my daughter’s birthday last night. And I received confirmation email for the reservation. We showed up at the restaurant, someone was fixing the door and told us the restaurant is closed. I was like shocked , I said why I never received a call to get notification, he said sorry we decided to close since it was too slow. It really ruined my daughters bday because we had to look for other restaurants and we could found limited choices after that hour. Terrible customer service!

They were out of 3 items that we ordered. Should not be happening on a Saturday at 6:30pm. Maybe tell people before they have to come back with a 2nd selection to find out that they were out, and happening again a 3rd time.

We were very disappointed with the service when we went for our Christmas Eve dinner. The server was never around, did not collect our dirty dishes and barely ever checked on us. The appetizer was very disappointing, but the rest of the dinner (salad, entree and dessert) were very good. Aside from very poor service, the meal we felt was very good. We will probably give them another try and hope that we get a different server next time.
