   The Sunday lunch was disappointing. The beef portion and quality was adequate, However the roast potatoes were awful. They were huge and barely coloured and very unappetising. The cheese on the cauliflower cheese was very strong. Yorkshire puddings and pigs in blankets were tasty. Carrots and cabbage were good. Great you could ask for extra gravy. It is expensive for a roast dinner, probably because you can ask for more of everything except the meat if you want it. The whitebait starter and sticky toffee pudding with cream were excellent. We prefer eating at The Greyhound mid week at lunchtime. We will be giving the roast dinner a miss in future.

   Very pleasant evening. Overall the food was great, with slight reservations about the lamb which was not as tender as it might have been.

   As ever, great food. service and ambiance - thank you so much. The freshness of the oysters were particularly appreciated and the cooking of the asparagus, trout and mussels were exemplary - the puddings delightful

   The food at the Greyhound is really delicious, beautifully cooked and presented. We had a warm welcome and were well looked after. We can highly recommend this restaurant.

   After receiving meat on the plate (3oz beef and lamb, poor portion) we had to wait 4 minutes until my husband asked the manager where is our veg. The managers answer was “when I manage to train my stuff to balance plates on their heads you’ll get it quicker.” My husband was flabbergasted and replied that was the worse reply he’s ever heard in the restaurant. Manager then went to the kitchen and came back with our side orders. The manager cane with the final bill, he applied 50% off and apologised profusely but the Easter Sunday meal was ruined.

    Food, service and ambience were to a high standard. Scotch egg starter was a particular highlight. Portion sizes good too. Only room for improvement was that the fries were slightly overcooked for our liking - but these things happen.
