    The hostess/waitress was very friendly and efficient. Our meal was superb. I can recomend the Homity Pie. My husbands dessert and mine were excellent and homemade (so much better than bought in dessert) We found the prices a little high for a pub meal but would definitely go again.

    Welcoming, friendly pub/restaurant with great cocktails, good wine selection and varied menu. Food was good, Sunday bottomless roast was just right. Outside space was comfy. Best thing about The Greyhound was the staff, a really helpful & friendly team.

    A first class meal. The restaurant was very busy on a Saturday night, however the staff were all working really hard to keep the orders coming out on time. A lovely birthday celebration 🥳 Thank you

    I brought my friend here for her 50th birthday and we had a lovely time. Lara's service was outstanding, and we were treated extremely well by the rest of the team too. When I go out, service is becoming more and more important to me and the team here did not let me down. Attentive and unobtrusive, lots of great recommendations, excellent communication of what was happening and when - really top notch. On top of that the place was lovely, we could hear ourselves talk but didn't feel listened in to, the food was fantastic - I think the custard tart was home made, which was amazing. All in all I'd highly recommend a visit and I'll be back with my family next time.

    Restaurant looks better after you go down the steps from the bar. V attentive team (but we did go v early 5pm! So they only had 2 tables to look after) Great advice on wine pairing. The food was excellent. Not so keen on the desert but Prawn starter and Mussels with fries were great. Not a cheap place for dinner but quality of food deserved the price tag. We will go again as helpful and gluten free availability when required.

    Exceĺlent meal and surprisingly cheap. We were charges a 3 course set menu for two at £32 each Pĺus £16 for wine making a total bill of £80. Exceptional value. We also had a free bottle of prosecco as one of my Brucan pubs rewards.

    Superb lunch meal for our wedding anniversary. Scotch egg with rabbit and black pudding for starter. Delicious. Flat iron steak for main - rare as ordered. Chips perfect, steak cooked as requested, was succulent, soft, and sauce top notch. Ate the lot. Wife ordered pork steak which was perfectly cooked if borderline overseasoned. Excellent sauce and creamed leaks very tasty. We were stuffed after two courses and chose not to have a desert. It was a bank holiday and busy, so service a little slower than we’ve seen here before but no major complaints. Staff friendly and knowledgeable. Would recommend and we’ll certainly return.
