We are a first come first serve all day restaurant. Walk-ins of all party sizes are encouraged at any time!

Back in the '90s, we were a tiny coffee shop with a lot of heart, a few mismatched tables, and a menu that came together with some help from our regulars. Our mother and her friends pitched in to cook, and we served up the kind of food we grew up on—comforting, familiar, and full of love. Truthfully, we were winging it more often than not. But we were having a lot of fun, and somehow, it worked out.

Great food! Service was slow - it was a Sunday afternoon, and we waited quite a while for a server to ask for our orders. It is very loud in the main dining area - maybe it would have been quieter outside, but we were straining to hear conversation. We also had to request our own silverware and tell the server how many items to bring? Never had to do that before. Food was so tasty - drinks were good too! Sad they were out of the Michigan Lager when we came in. Loved all the Founders' brews.

This was our first visit. The staff was very welcoming. I enjoyed the Breakfast Bowl and my husband had the Grey Dog’s breakfast. Delicious! We will be back!

They were out of most of their brunch items. They were out of eggs but not scrambled eggs, which tells me they leave the scrambled eggs out for hours in warming trays instead of making eggs to order (gross). We saw our waiter once while she took our order, and then never again. No one checked in to see if we wanted more beverages, though I was planning to order a mimosa. And syrup dripped through the table all over my pants and backpack, but when I asked for club soda to clean it up myself no one showed any concern. Very poor service. As a server myself, I’m regretting tipping at all.

Our server left and went on break. Never bother to check on us. Foods was still good and place was nice!!!

Found this gem with a google search and it did not disappoint. We loved it so much, we went twice during our weekend visit to NYC. Great food and great atmosphere! We will definitely come back every time we visit the city :)

Nothing special, they had no chicken dishes which is what two of the four dinners wanted. Service was fine.
