The food itself is not bad and given what they charge for it, it's very good value for money but for everything else, it really needs to improve and the place is looking very tired as well! Not sure whether I can recommend this place as there are so many other country places which are better!

Our visit to the Greenway in Cheltenham left us with mixed feelings. The service and location were good, but the food could have been of a better quality. The fixed lunch menu (3 courses for £26.00) gave a very limited choice and did not excite.The starter portions were small and the quality of the food was little better than average. The rasberry cheescake was more of a mousse and was very bland.

The Greenway outside Cheltenham felt, to my metropolitan tastes, a bit uptight and precious. Although they tried to accommodate our 2-yr-old, it was obviously not what they were set up for. Very nicely presented food. Tasty gnocchi. Shame about the shot in my undercooked duck...but I guess it's a hazard with game. Great desserts. After other diners disappeared the waitress lost interest in us. The bill was also not adjusted for her modest portions, until we drew attention to it.

We went to The Greenway, Shurdington for our anniversary. Our table was at 8pm and we eventually went through at 8:30. The two men at front of house seemed to be having a confusing time! The food was very nice albeit the starters were quite bland, but the main and dessert were both very nice. Good choices on the menu and the wine was very good. Had a nice time but was put off by being just left waiting for our table with no explanation. Nice experience but wouldn't rush to go back.
