Thought this was bit overpriced for what it was. A pub stuck in the1990,s. The beef bourginon was a bit dry, would have preferred mash rather than roast potatoes. My husband had the beef and ale pie. Said it was just ok

Decided to book as it was a Saturday evening. Well we parked our car, plenty of space because the site is also a camping site. Went to the bar to announce our arrival, not known explained had booked through oh we never check the site was the answer. Plenty of place help yourself she said. Took our drinks through to dinning room. Menus were on the table. There were five spelling mistakes on the menu. This should have been a sign. We ordered and waited for our meals. Didn't wait to long. I had ordered baked haddock in seafood mix sauce with chips and peas. My partner had ordered Salmon in white wine,chive and lime sauce with new potatoes and vegetables. Well hers was cold and tasteless no lime so used lemon her veg was hot so it warm up the fish were it touched . Best part the veg. Mine wishy-washy sauce with two mussels and two bits of squid mine was hot! Chips were very nice the peas had no taste at all. Never mind my favourite dessert was on the menu. Lemon meringue pie! Guess what was off sold out. Coffee was very nice.

sorry to say we went on a Groupon steak n lobster deal.we booked through Open Table. On arrival they couldn't download the app as no wifi.so sorted when they got wifi but then said we hadn't booked in. Again I said I did it through yourselves.so with that she said we had arrived too early as chef wasn't here.WE had booked for 5.30 and they appently were open for food between 12.30 n 7.30 according to their open times,so we cudnt understand.By this time we didn't want to bother but as we were there.when food arrived it was half a lobster and very little else,they stuck to the minimal value.If that is all you get for full value then I'm never going back to find out.AWFULL....

We had no knowledge of this inn but we found it on the web as we needed to be near Thursford, waiting for attendees. Not sure what the experience would be, but it was delightful, lovely atmosphere, friendly staff who made us feel very welcome and the food was first class. A real find.

Dined here for the last night of our holiday (a week in Great Snoring) and didn't want to go too far. Offered the choice of eating in the dining room or the pub lounge, we chose the former. We were the only ones there so it was very quiet but there were more people eating in the pub bar where the atmosphere was a bit more lively. If we visited the area again, we would eat here but would choose the bar area instead. Good choice on the menu. Food was all hot and fresh, served in good time by pleasant staff.
