   We had a very enjoyable evening celebrating my husband's birthday at the Green Man. We are locals who have been going there for many years and it is now back to its original excellent standard. The food was delicious and the service excellent. Background music was not intrusive so we were all able to speak to each other. Altogether, a good way to celebrate a birthday!

   A genuinely friendly welcome before being shown to our chosen table. Quickly served drinks and had the menu explained. Our starters and main courses were excellently cooked and presented. Each was also very tasty. No desserts were taken but generous Latte coffees finished off a good meal. The bill was quickly presented upon request and gave us good value for money.

   I wanted a light lunch, so selected the beetroot & goats cheese tart from the starter selection. Unfortunately it was stale and dry and inedible.

   The food was absolutely delicious and the pub inside is lovely really nicely decorated Im so surprised this pub wasn't rammed packed! It definitely should be

   The service was poor.....there were 4 of us....waited a long time for our main course.....2 of which were luke warm, one was incorrect and 3 of us ordered the same meal and all said very overly salted......the dessert menu was not inspiring so again to avoid disappointment we didn't order dessert....we were really looking forward to our evening, but all 4 of us said we definitely would not hurry back......
