Had dinner in a room that they could have hung meat in. While the food and service were great, it is hard to enjoy when it is cold.

Prior to today, I have eaten at Greenline once for brunch and numerous times for dinner. All previous experiences were excellent. Today I hosted some out of town relatives for brunch at Greenline. It was disappointing at best. It was a meal fraught with surprises. Surprise #1: Two of us ordered peach mimosas. The mimosas weren’t bad but lacked any hint of peach flavor. Surprise #2: I ordered the breakfast plate with sausage as the protein and a side of grits. Under ala carte “grits” was listed. Absent any further description beyond “grits,” I expected (wanted) plain white grits like you’d find at a truck stop in Mississippi. What I got was grits loaded with cheese and enough salt to cure a small ham. The grits were good except for the saltiness and I ate the grits. The surprise was the cheese adornment. Surprise #3: The sausage tasted & smelled weird. One other diner got the sausage and had the same experience. The sausage was spoiled. It was bad! It wasn’t fit to eat. I reported the mimosa issue and the sausage issue to the server. She went to the kitchen and reported our issue. She was told the sausage was good because the date on the box was current. I gave her a piece of the sausage to send to have the chef sniff. She reported back that nobody thought it was bad. I told her I didn’t expect to pay for a meal with spoiled meat. She reported all the issues I raised to the manager. The manager offered $5 off the meal because I didn’t eat the sausage. The manager said she made the mimosas therefore she knew there was peach in them. (Must have been peach flavoring at the molecular level.) In summary I will say the manager wanted to refute or debate my complaints. This irked me more than the drinks or the spoiled meat. I am not a believer in “the customer is always right.” But the customer is always the customer. I’ll go back for dinner sometime, but the Greenline brunch is not in my future. I should mention that the server was excellent. The manager needs some help.

We really enjoyed our brunch experience! Food and drinks were delicious with a great selection and our server was super kind and made our first time experience a reason that we will be back in the future!

Wonderful food and service. Prime rib is wonderful! Only downside is it is a little loud!
