Pub Landlord Kev is delighted to bring you traditional, home cooked food, pub classics and Sunday Lunch in the newly refurbished Greedy Duck.

Our menu will change frequently and celebrate seasonality and local ingredients. We're proud of our Yorkshire roots and look forward to sharing that with you in our food and drinks offering.

The view from the restaurant is everything that's great about Yorkshire - rolling hills, dense woodland and a fishing pond. Keep your eyes peeled for our nosey NEIGHbours.

This is just the start for The Greedy Duck, we have a plan for further refurbishment extending to the beer garden in time for summer 2023. Expect lots of activities and events, BBQs, drinks and family & dog friendly areas.

                            We were booked for 8 people at 4.00pm we sat down at 4.25. They took drinks order which didn’t arrive we had to ask them. Ordered food . They didn’t clear table before asking if we wanted desserts. It was busy and staff didn’t seem to know what they were doing. They did take some items off our bill. Service was too slow.

                            Pub has been refreshed, but still has the great outside terrace. Lovely pub to sit outside on a sunny day at. Food is good quality, and that couldn’t be faulted. However, it has become quite a bit more expensive. A starter, 2 bowls of chips, a soft drink and glass of wine were £27. This feels more like central Leeds prices than a local in Ls27.

                            Was really looking forward to our meal at greedy duck as it’s such a beautiful place but unfortunately wasn’t great experience. Booked table for 5 but it was 5:30 when we finally got seated( we had little one with us!!), and meal wasn’t great at all unfortunately (& I’m easily pleased when it comes to food!!)- only 2 tiny spuds, awfully plain chicken, still pink pigs in blankets( undercooked?) and the tiniest amount of veg( like 2 pieces of carrots and 1 piece of parsnip!) , I was still hungry after our meal. It really wasn’t enjoyable at al unfortunately . Took forever getting waiters attention too. Sorry. Will be back for drinks but not food!

                            Was looking forward to our visit as several friends have been recently and have said how nice it was. We had booked a table for 4.30pm for Sunday lunch and was expecting it to be busy, we were left stood at the bar waiting to be seated, bar staff were extremely flustered and not organised- leaving a slight feeling of panic. We didn’t get a table until 4.50, had to wait another 10 minutes for our order to be taken, and then had to ask our server to come back as they rushed off without taking our drinks order. We were very pleased with our starters- although they weren’t very warm, After another 30 minutes our mains arrived. They were cold, the roast potatoes were rock hard, and the pork was very dry, even with extra luke warm gravy. We were hoping to stay for dessert but due to the length of time we waited, and the slightly chaotic feeling throughout the restaurant we decided it was best to leave asap. When we asked for an itemised bill, we were informed that they were having technical difficulties and would only be able to tell us the items verbally? Usually we are very good at tipping wait staff as we know it is a very demanding job, however we even declined the service charge on this visit. Very disappointing overall.

                            We went for the Sunday Roast, great service, food came out piping hot. The braised pork was delicious. We will be going back, sat out near the back, lovely view.
