Good place for basic bar food, burgers and wings etc. big selection of drafts. Not 4-star dining and doesn’t pretend to be. Great spot for a casual meal and a beer or cocktail
Cool spot but food was very boring - not much flavor to speak of. Service was pretty bad as well, didn’t get plates for appetizers or utensils for the the entree. Also had to ask for napkins because those are apparently an afterthought. Waitress did give us a free beer and apologized for the terrible service, for what it’s worth. Phoenixville has like 25 better options.
Food was great, the restaurant was really busy so service was a little slow. I’ve been here many times before and this is normally not the case. Still had a great time.
The food was great but it was very pricey. $14 for a burger which didn’t include fries is too expensive for my taste.
More food options and specials would be nice. The only burger option was build your own burger.
I like to refer to this as our Valentines disaster. We had a reservation. The hostess was no where to be found and when she showed up she was somewhat unfriendly and didn’t know what she was doing. When she sat us our table was disgusting. It took 20 minutes to get a server to our table. The “busboy” bringing out food was clueless and rude to people. Everyone in our side of the building were complaining about horrible or non existent service. Our appetizer was served on a wooden cutting board and the dipping sauces were missing and we didn’t get small plates to use. The entrees were pretty tasty but way overpriced as were the drinks. This place has been having the same complaints for over a year now... THATS A MANAGEMENT FAIL NOT THE STAFF. You had almost no staff on during a busy holiday and the ones that were there were untrained or inexperienced.
We will not be returning and we will make sure none of our friends do either. Great American Grill?? Great American Fail
Although my boyfriend and I were there 15 minutes early for our 11am reservation (right when they begin serving lunch) we were seated and offered drinks right away! Our waitress was not bothered AT ALL by our early arrival. Our plates arrived in a timely fashion, and I was BLOWN away at the deliciousness of the Impossible Quesadilla- I thought to myself “this is WAY too good to be vegan!” And my picky boyfriend was satisfied with Mac and cheese and fries. I also enjoyed the truffle Asiago tater tots and red beer ketchup from the Valentine’s menu. Will DEFINITELY be back.
Great food beer and entertainment
Went for Happy Hour. Brielle was our server and remembered us. We got drinks and each had food and spent just under $35. You CANNOT beat that price especially in Phoenixville.
Was pleasantly surprised that there was entertainment! Very nice experience!
We enjoy going to The Great American Pub, esp. in the warmer weather where we can eat and listen to the great bands! Hopefully the bands will all be able to play again.
Our server Danny was so nice and accommodating, ty Danny! Food was delicious as always!
We sat in the tent, on a Friday night and there were only two other tables there that were spread out. The host was the sweetest on the phone and in person. The server was great and the food was better. We had the fajitas and the gnocchi, lobster and it was so good!
The food and service were outstanding!
We had a nice time food was good drinks for solid.
Made reservations for a table and received a booth that wasn't sturdy, the back of the booth would more significantly and made for a very uncomfortable situation. The service was rather itself was rather slow, took more than 15 minutes to even be greeted and then another 10 or more to receive our first drinks. The food was delicious but overshadowed by the slow service and poor seating accommodations. Even asked our server/bartender about the booth and she mentioned its been like that for sometime, seems to me they are neglecting upkeep.
Great service, comfortable atmosphere, good food. What more could you ask for?
Great food and service. First time eating at the Phoenixville borough - great find, will come back
We enjoy dining at the Great American Pub. Food is great and people there are very nice, our server Michele was especially kind! We love going in the warmer weather to eat outside and enjoy listening to the great bands!
A little cold in the tent, but to be expected based on weather. Otherwise, nice atmosphere, beautiful restaurant, and delicious food.
Outside tent was freezing should have been closed. Rain coming in sides a d tower heaters threw no heat
My toes were numb by end of meal
Apparently we were told the owners came in and dined inside at 2 full tables in back dining room and 3 patrons at side of bar table which is why the server did not return to us. I went to get the check to get some warmth. I asked why these people were there were told oh they are the owners and then people at bar worked there. Do not belive the latter part. Poor experience.
Great meal great service and great outdoor dining experience
Great menu variety and ale for the price. There is a large amount of outdoor seating and there are heat lamps staggered through out the area.
The Pub did a great job creating a Covid safe place to dine!
Husband and I got in a final dinner for us at GAP. We went to see our favorite Bartender, Michele. We were seated at the back bar and Jenny was great as our server. We split the brisket fries and they were great, meat was tender and flavorful. Tried the new brick oven pizza. Had the garlic and spinach and it was very good. Lime refresher from the bar was tasty. We got to see Michele and wished her a wonderful and prosperous holiday! We wish the same for John and all the GAP staff. Thanks for a yummy night before more restrictions.
The waitress was courteous and very professional.
The food was very good and the price was reasonable. We will be back
Loved everything about the outdoor setup, plus all the heaters and fireplace. Service was great as well.
I have walked past this restaurant for the last 2 years and unfortunately my timing happened to hit their busy time. Being retired now my schedule is more flexible and allowed me to try it this week. What a great place. My wife and I sat outside which was fantastic. They have a great table setup with canopies over them, outdoor lighting, the area is fenced in and the outside of the restaurant is painted nicely. Outdoor heaters, a fireplace and fountain. Great atmosphere. The service was excellent. The food was great and the prices in line with the smaller venues in the area and quite affordable. This is now my new favorite and I highly recommend it.
Thank you for your great review! We are sorry you had walked by for 2 years, before you were able to enjoy what our establishment has to offer, but are also glad you finally had an opportunity to get out there and experience our outdoor seating area. It has been a work in progress since we opened in May of 2014, but well worth the effort. Be safe out there, and we are looking forward to having you come back in the future!
I reserved seating for 4 at 7pm. We actually became 6 of us and showed up at 6:15 because entertainment started earlier. Hostess was great seating us when we got there and accommodated the 6 of us. Unfortunately because of having to be seated in a larger glider, we really couldn’t hear the entertainment very well. Doesn’t seem to have any sound system towards the back end. Overall was a great night.
First time there. Definitely busy so make a reservation. Took 20-30 minutes to get our drink order after placing it. No exaggeration there. Food came a while after that. Food was good but not great. The service was honestly the biggest negative. Parking is definitely challenging in Phoenixville on the weekends. The atmosphere is great, so we would try it again.
Really unique atmosphere. Took our waitress some time to get to us. I expect more promo service and tip very well for that! Food was good!! Typical pub food. Brisket grilled cheese pretty good!! It was cold in the resteraunt because they had doors open to serve outside tables due to the COVID restrictions. I get that but when asked to be seated inside you don’t want to feel like your freezing outside, inside. Anyways it’s worth going to! The drinks are very good!
Great outside seating.
The service was good and the food was just fair.....nothing to write home about
Very nice atmosphere and delicious food. The service was extremely poor, we barely saw our server after we waited at least 15 minutes for one to come the first time, then had to wave someone down after. They need more staff members, you could tell they were all
Overwhelmed.
Beautiful outdoor dining. Great food, great service!
We like to eat there the food is good, but we don’t like the limited menu . It’s always the same food and dessert.
Weather was great for outside dining. Ambience was very nice. Food was very good. I think our waitress was very good but maybe had too many tables. Overall had an enjoyable evening 😊
We love GAP! They have the best brisket and the best outdoor seating in town. Amazing wait staff too!
Great outdoor dining. Following Covid 19 safety guidelines! Beautiful ambiance with fountain and covered glider swing tables. Delicious barvarian pretzel with cheese dip appetizer. Excellent food and service!
Great place to eat. Parking was a chore. Had to park blocks away and walk in. COVID at its best
The fact that we had to move our car or it would be towed due to the street being closed for diners who would come later was upsetting. We had to park several blocks away and by the time I got back my (birthday) lunch was cold. I realize this is something that Phoenixville is doing to accommodate diners, but it was not a pleasant time for us.
