    Another wonderful evening dining at the Granville Inn for a combined anniversary and birthday celebration. Our server, Hanah, was just outstanding. The new menu was very good, although, instead of medium rare, the filet definitely came out much more on the very rare side. The new pork medallions (fed a diet of only acorns) were excellent. It was nice to see some of the changes with their new menu and will definitely be back and continue sending our guests as well. A neighborhood gem!

    We have always enjoyed the Granville Inn Restaurant but tonight my husbands Duck Ala orange was ordered medium rare but was served beyond well-done only a small amount of orange sauce. My Filet dinner Filet was medium as I ordered but my potatoes were hard not completely cooked. My husband was offered a dessert or another glass of wine since his dinner was so overcooked. I did get & eat chocolate mouse. Our waitress, Paulette was nice and did her best to help.

    Traditional, historic vibe, with modern amenities. One of the best French onion soups I've had - and I've had more than a few. Dinner was excellent. Wife had lamb w/ risotto. I had walleye w/ horseradish mashed potatoes & string beans. We were too full to order desert. Breakfast included with room stay is order from menu - not buffet style. My blueberry pancakes & sausage were very good. Wife was pleased with her scrambled eggs & fruit. Very good service.

    Beautiful space and the food was delicious! Our server was nice but overbooked for sure as she had our entire room full of tables and some on the patio. The ambience was great except they kept the doors open to the patio and it was 90 degrees outside so the heat from outside was coming in (as well as the bugs) and all of the AC was going outside.

    The hostess greater us and took us to our patio table. Said we could dine inside if we wanted. Hannah was a kind , caring and knowledgeable server. We had a cheese tray and drinks on the patio and then wine , dinner and dessert in the oak Room, inside. . Our entrees were well prepared and tasted great. I had pasta/ veggies with filet. My husband had potato encrusted wall eye. We tasted a couple wines and chose a bottle of Rose’ from France. Really good. Dessert was fabulous. Key lime pie and a decadent chocolate moose tart with berries and Greaters vanilla ice cream on the side. All in all a fabulous evening. Service, food and atmosphere. 😍

    My wife and I had a very good meal at the Restaurant at the Granville Inn. The atmosphere and service were fantastic. What an amazing atmosphere and facility. Hannah our server was so sweet and accommodating. She was fantastic. The menu is varied and well thought out with very appealing dishes Our meals, the walleye dinner and the lamb chops, were very good. Each however had a couple of technical issues that made them very good but not excellent. The issues were not significant enough to complain about at all. If you're traveling through or are in the area You must give this place a try. Stop in and enjoy a drink at the bar and partake of a meal!

    I have been to the Granville Inn and ate on the patio 3 times in the last 6 months. Their food is not consistent. Visit 1 - the chicken on my sandwich was overdone and not good. Visit 2 - my breakfast was excellent. Best i have had out. Visit 3 - Chicken burrito was ordinary, boring. The patio is beautiful and the red headed server is very pleasant and good at his job. The GI needs a great chef. This is a diamond in the rough in Granville. You can do so much better!

    Our food was very good as it always has been. But the table we were seated at in the alcove off of the bar area had liquid ring stains in many spots and a small bit of food was on the surface when we sat down. Our server was friendly and fast but she did not pour our wine, rather she put the cooler and bottle on the table and walked away. Also we had to ask for bread, which like the rest of the meal was very good. More the anything the condition of the tabletop was disconcerting. Food was hot with excellent preparation and taste.

    So great being back at Granville Inn after several years. We ate in due to bees but had a window table and patio was so love with the gorgeous flowers, flowering bushes and pots. But they weren’t crowded and our waitress gave us poor attention. Waited long just to get water. She never returned to our table after food arrived and I had to wait 20 minutes to get my refill after requesting it. I saw her clearing g other tables before she finally brought it. By that time we were ready to leave. On top of her poor service she was a bit of a sourpous. The host was warm & friendly.

    My children and I had reservations for a double birthday dinner for my son and daughter, and had a very nice evening. Food was great, our server Kara was wonderful as always, and the Oak Room was its usual stately self (please don’t change it). An excellent time was enjoyed by all.

    Under the guidance of our excellent server, we enjoyed the Brussels Sprouts Appetizer, Eggplant Parmesan (both of which were delightfully tasty) and thankfully offered a great burger for my non-gourmet husband! Chateau Lavergne wine was also amazing. A special treat on Monday to celebrate an Anniversary!

    Food was outstanding except for the polenta with my spouse's scallops. It was a little cold and lacked some seasoning, but everything else was so good we didn't want to make a big deal out of it. The staff was great!

    Excellent service in a beautiful historic setting. We had a glass of wine on the outdoor patio, then dinner in The Oak Room. The French onion soup and burger were superb and the salad was very good.

    Thanks you for the dining points, however we did not stay for breakfast. Why is the host so unfriendly? Extremely slow to seat us, did not welcome us and overall did not feel welcomed. This along with our server not stopping by for over 6 minutes to great us made us feeling frustrated. I asked why it was so slow, as the restaurant wasn’t busy, the server proceeded to tell us that they only have 2 servers. I said that if service was going to be exceptionally slow, they should at least let us know. She said “well our other server is in the hospital having a baby, so she couldn’t exactly show up for work”. The level of professionalism by both the host and server is simply unacceptable. We have tried to give Granville Inn multiple opportunities, but each time, the servers are extremely rude and the host is consistently unwelcoming. There is obviously in underlying problem with the way the restaurant is being managed. People want to come support a local business, but you make it impossible. Instead, we will enjoy breakfast or dinner at places like the Station, The Ghostwriter, First Watch, Cameron Mitchell restaurants or other restaurants that can provide a welcoming and friendly environment. The Granville Inn is a true gem, but the management needs a serious overhaul. We will absolutely not be back.

    I want to say that everything was perfect, including our server Ruby, who was working frantically to cover all the tables. Obviously they were understaffed and service was slow but the major problem was lack of an umbrella on our table and sun in our eyes, I don’t like to reward bad service, but a $20 tip for slow service, no water refills, inattentive management and you have to ask for rolls for a $52 entrée and repeatedly complain to the maître d’ about lack of an umbrella when the table for six next to us, set unused for one hour before the guests arrived yet our reservation went unfulfilled. The only other option offered was to set a high top cocktail table outside, or be seated inside in cold air conditioning. On the good side, complements to the chef the food (crusted walleye) was well presented warm and delicious, the wine was outstanding. This is our favorite restaurant and we like to dine there with another couple and we hope that our suggestions will be taken to correct the situation. Please have the restaurant manager call me.

    Excellent food and menu. Nice to see the Granville Inn taking the restaurant to the level it always should be. A couple of improvements are still necessary to get 5 stars across the board: 1. One of our entrees (scallops) was served lukewarm. Both the scallops and the polenta were not hot. The walleye entree was piping hot. 2. Ordered our cocktails first and were served our appetizers and salads prior to the cocktails being served.
