   Excellent meal! Hard to choose a favorite but we all loved the bread entree, and the 12 hour lamb was delicious. That said the sirloin and fish mains disappeared just as quickly. Will have to be going back to try other items on the menu.

   We ate here on a Thursday night. It wasn’t full but still busy enough. The food was very good with three of us having whole flounder and one eating the fish of the day which was snapper. Both dishes were delicious. We had some sides but ended up with too much. The mash and gravy went down well as did the cauliflower cheese. Service was friendly and professional. We were really pleasantly surprised and will go back again.

   We went for my mother’s birthday. First, my daughter being 15 wasn’t having wine and decided to stick with water, so just to make it a little more special they put her water in a wine glass. We then mentioned in passing that it was my mums birthday so they put a candle in her dessert. Other than the lovely decor, great service and fantastic food, It’s the little touches that make it exceptional.

   We are coming back to the restaurant this Saturday my only critique would be that our food took nearly an hour to arrive on what was not a particularly busy session, so not sure if there was a hitch in the kitchen but the wait was well above anything i have experienced previously and hoping we don't experience the same this weekend with guests we have coming to Auckland

   Steak tartare real classy stunning dish Beetroot salad was described as yum The mains of venison with mash outstanding for a cold winters night. The mash and gravy hit the wow factor Meatballs and pasta dish was bursting with flavour and obviously made with great care. Service matched the food and the wine list was a treat, they even cater for the dry July brigade Great night out

   Far too expensive for what you got. Noisy. Narrow choice of menu items. Food was salty.

    Nice food and good service however it wouldn’t want to get any more expensive. The prices are at the top end for this type of establishment/ restaurant.
