NOW OPEN FOR SUNDAY BRUNCH! Enjoy live recitals by rising Met Artists in the dining room, with a $45 prix fixe and endless bellinis.

The Grand Tier Restaurant is located inside The Metropolitan Opera House and offers both a la carte and prix fixe menus. The restaurant welcomes the general public, not just ticketed guests of the Metropolitan Opera House. The restaurant’s location makes it the perfect pre-theater dining experience for all guests of Lincoln Center. The exquisite modern cuisine and classic dining room, highlighted by Chagall murals and brilliant Swarovski crystal chandeliers, make it a memorable destination regardless of the occasion.

Ticketed guests of the Metropolitan Opera may also dine in the restaurant at intermission but must pre-order and reserve by visiting us at www.diningatmetopera.com. Reservations for ticketed guests dining at intermission ONLY are not taken via Open Table.

The Grand Tier is extremely convenient when one is attending the opera. The atmosphere and the service are fine, the food lacking and the overall value a major question. However, the Sunday brunch is even more of a problem. The menu is limited, the servings minimal, the food not very good. One feels that one is paying for real estate much more than for a dining experience. The sole positive is a brief appearance by a young vocalist and her accompanist.

Seven of us , all retireed choristers from the Met opera enjoyed a beautiful Sunday brunch celebrating another retiree. The food, service atmosphere was quite special. There was a young artist who sang with her accompanist at a grand piano and she was excellent. Sitting in the Grand Tier Restaurant surrounded by crystal chandeliers and Chagal paintings, overlooking Lincoln Center Plaza's fountain can't get any better! Good food and endless Bellini's at Brunch...now open to the public. Bring $$. The $45 prix fix adds up to much more when you are finished.

The room is spectacular and the service good but not overly attentive. However the food was a major disappointment.

It is a very good restaurant, with a very nice atmosphere, right inside the Opera. We went right before the Opera and it was very convenient. The service was efficient and the food was good.

The food was not up to the level it was a few years ago. I would go back for pre-opera dining as it’s convenient and a great place to watch people. Perhaps the management doesn’t try as hard because they make this assumption.

As always, a superb experience. This restaurant never fails to meet expectations before the opera!

Everything was fantastic including a twist on Eggs Benedict with cornbread instead of English Muffins, which was brilliant! Our very kind waiter forgot our coffee at the end of our meal and then brought the wrong order. It was remedied and on the house.

Food is beyond compare. Atmosphere upscale. Service attentive. Very slow service from the kitchen. Allow at least 90 minutes before curtain.
