   We were a partt of 4 for a pre-concert dinner. It was quite disappointing having to wait 25 min to order once seated, despite we asked 3 times, given we have a performance at 20:00. The main course of red snapper was overcooked and honestly tasteless. Desserts were served in a rush and no apology given. Shall not return.

   We have been to the Grand Tier many times, so maybe it was a bad night because of the Salome Premier Gala, but: 1. The sweetbread and morel cannelloni was disgusting. couldn't find or taste either. just a gooey mess with a separated butter sauce, ( I am a sweetbread and morel lover, by the way) 2. Chateaubriand was excellent but the sides, a potato gratin just a solid uninteresting brick and the vegs tasteless. 3. Scallops not "Jumbo" as stated and somehow very off and tasteless. maybe not fresh. No way worth $72.!!! Desserts were fine. so was everything else. Next time, we will ask the waiter for recommendations for/against.

   Terrific food and wonderful waitress. The Gala was occurring at the same time, but it was contained.

   Service and ambiance were excellent. Food was spotty - 3rd time trying the crab cake and it is consistently dry. Would not recommend.

   Wonderful ambiance and service but food is not that good. Trying too hard to be sophisticated and not making it.

We take great pride in providing a cuisine that marries the classic dishes that you would expect from an establishment in the MET Opera house while also keeping up with the current times.    Excellent wine list, excellent food, superb service. The Grand Tier is hands-down the best restaurant in Lincoln Center and within Lincoln Square.
