Dinner and drinks were enjoyed by all. Loved the flight of mimosas.
I can’t actually comment on the food because after we were finally seated (15 min after our reservation) another 20 minutes passed and no one ever came to our table. We had gotten mimosas from the bar so once we finished those we left. It appeared that everyone around us was either complaining about how long their food was taking or complaining about the food they got. We decided to look elsewhere. Don’t think I’ll be back.
Soooo long to get our food. Some dishes good, some not. Our waitress was pleasant, but never returned after taking our order and our drinks were empty and we were wondering what the situation was. Probably will not return.
Great food and atmosphere!
Server was awful. Told us “I have the owners table so I have to tend to them first”. Told him we have an Gluten & Dairy allergy & the salad came out with a piece of bread on it. Told him we were ready for the check & he disappeared for 15 minutes.
Comfy, cozy great food!
Only complaint was that appetizer came out after our sandwiches.
Overall fantastic will go back!
I enjoyed The Grand while I visited Columbia. The food and the location are great!
The atmosphere was quite. The food was great and fresh.
An experience you have to try at least once. Decor was sophisticated and inviting. They did not offer coffee drinks which was a bummer, but if you want alcohol, they have it. Desserts were good.
Not bad. Fun but loud environment.
First time going to this spot and I must say it’s a nice beautiful chill spot for friends and couples food was great drinks where also great and I love how they had some many TVs so I was able to eat drink and catch the game most definitely will be returning
Very accommodating for our table on the patio that we requested because we had our dogs with us. Food took a while but once we got it, it was good. Bring your patience for brunch. Outside there was a fellow singing and playing the guitar which added to the ambience and wasn’t obtrusive. Not our first time and we will go back.
Disappointing. Our reservation was at 7:45pm yet we were finally seated at 8:20pm. We had to share menus since they only had 4 for our party of 6. Our server finally took drink order at 8:40. The she brought warm beer in cans with no glasses. No specials were shared as our server was asked, told us there were some the night before and she’d check. When she eventually came back - she never told us about specials and just took our orders. Food was typical bar food - heavy, a bit oily but ok. Drink orders never retaken and we gladly left when we finally got the bill at 9:45. We chose not to stay for bowling since the experience was subpar overall.
Enjoyed the atmosphere and service. Also the desserts were very delicious and decadent. Great place to have a conversation with a friend or someone special.
What an evening to remember?! From the flawless meticulous service of our wait-staff to the mouth-watering savory desserts, which were paired perfectly with recommended choice of wine, bourbon, or cocktail. I truly enjoyed the Experience at the Robinson Room. What a way to close a wonderful birthday celebration for my wife...she loved it.😋
Took my mom to the Robinson Room for her birthday and Albin made it such an enjoyable experience! Great drinks and desserts.
We came to The Grand to have dinner and celebrate my birthday and thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and the experience! The wait staff was great and my entree was delicious! I would highly recommend this spot.
You have to go to the new desert area on the lower level. Handcrafted drinks and deserts. The food was really good buy my server was not the greatest. I would still go back to try other things on the menu.
Everything was great. I would tell my friends and family about this restaurant.
They were very short staffed. We were finally seated 30 minutes after our reservation time. We waited an hour for our brunch and then we were told they had run out of eggs. We had to completely change our orders and we waited another hour for that food. Once it finally came it was actually really good! Unfortunately I will not risk the inconvenience again… It was the last bit of time I had with my college freshman and we spent it getting the runaround for over two hours. That being said… They did comp our meal. And they should have!
We had a great brunch here! I had the chicken and waffles, but substituted with the fried chicken which was amazing. We also highly recommend the cinnamon sugar doughnuts as a starter (live it up!) A truly great spot in Columbia - we’ll be back!
Worst experience ever food good service horrible waited 3 hours for food.
The food was delicious! It was a little loud because of the bowling lanes, live entertainment and restaurant music all playing.
Celebrated my daughters 18th birthday on USC parent weekend. We had a large group (8) and were told when we checked in for our reservation they were short staffed. This is the Covid Norm so not such a big deal. It helped up mentally prepare for a leisurely brunch. The outdoor express very nice with a music soloist playing and he actually played happy birthday to my daughter.
The food was good - not exceptional but a nice brunch. They were out of quite a few items and we did end up having to ask for several forgotten items (a Bloody Mary came out 20 minutes after the rest of our cocktails and one entree that we asked has to ask for multiple tones also came out 20 to 30 minutes later than the rest of the entrees)
We were prepared for a longer dining experience due to short staffage but the delayed items were more lack of Ette toon than short staffed.
I’d go back to give them another shot due to the ambiance.
Food, beverages, and atmosphere was great! Would definitely recommend the seafood pasta!
Waited about 25 mins before a server greeted us. Told the hostess and another server and not until we told a manager (a man with glasses) and he got a server to our table. We did receive flat champagne maybe because of how long it was sitting at the bar or because it was already mixed. We told a manager(woman with blonde hair) and she immediately was defensive. All we asked for was more champagne and received attitude from her. Overall, the experience was ok. I’ve been here before and service was 10x better, so I hope this was just a rare day.
Great atmosphere! Food was delicious! Wonderful menu and loved the vibe!
Great spot for dessert, which was delicious. Waitress disappeared for more than 25 minutes when we were waiting for a check. Still had a fun time and might give it another shot
My husband and I had a great evening at the Robinson Room. Service was amazing, and the desserts were delicious. We tried the Bourbon Banana Pudding and the Apple Tarte Tatin. Both were great choices! The only thing that I would recommend is to add one or two more choices to the menu. Other than that, we had a great experience.
Great atmosphere!! Great food options!!
Fun, active spot. We sat outside and it was lovely.
The Robinson Room was amazing!
We are in Columbia for Parents weekend and found this place. Very unique restaurant/bowling alley combo. However, the bowling is at the far back so most don't even know it. Love the decor, bar scene and banquet seating for six. There was a young lady playing violin to pop music. It was awesome!
the seafood casserole was awesome 👍🏾! The price for that tiny dish, wasn’t worth it and the mac n cheese was dry. But overall great atmosphere and I would come back.
The waiters are so busy that they seem to forget about you.
I feel as if the outside Patio should have someone out there at all times just in case a customer needs something.
It was EXTREMELY loud with the bar. A lady was taken out on a stretcher and everyone kept partying. The apps were COLD and the steak was burnt. They were so unorganized that we didn’t even have silverware. Never will waste my money.
Food was cold and not tasty
Excellent food! Very cool atmosphere!
Server was ok.
