Took my college student and high school student here while in town on parents' weekend. The atmosphere was fun and food was delicious; something for all of us. We bowled after we ate, which was a really fun time. You can eat while you bowl, but we enjoyed eating first. We had a lot of fun!

The food was delicious. We especially love the pork chops and ribs. Our server was very personable although did seem to be fairly new to serving. We are always happy with our meals, service and ambiance at The Grand

Food was not what I expected for cost…. Steak not cooked how it was requested & was $52 for 6oz., service was slow, my salmon was undercooked and we both left with upset stomachs. Ambiance was fun

We had brunch at The Grand on parents weekend at USC. It definitely exceeded our expectations. Food and service were wonderful. It was a cool place and had a live musician playing outside. I would highly recommend and will be returning. It was so fun!

This was my first time, and I will definitely be going back. Between my date and I, we had a beer, a mimosa flight, the catfish bites, the southwest loaded fries, the pork chop entree and the rib entree. Everything was excellent from the portion sizes to the taste. It’s not often that I like everything about a place, but I definitely did with this one.

We've been 3 or 4 times but this time having made a reservation we sat for 25 minutes and were not even spoken to at our table. It was 5:15pm. Not sure if our small kids were off putting (they behaved well), maybe the kitchen wasn't open (although others had food and drinks) or maybe we upset someone somehow but the staff was well aware of our presence. They even thanked us and told us to have a good night on the way out which suggested they made a decision to not serve us to me. Good experiences on other visits so weird trip this time. Prices have jumped again too so we treat it as a special outing and a little less frequent. That being the case it was a little extra disappointing.

The Grand is a great place. We are locals and have heard great things about this restaurant and this was a fantastic brunch spot. The food was fantastic and all of the service personnel we’re very friendly while being professional. We will be back to enjoy another of the many dishes they have to offer.

We had the chicken, waffles, huge salad, and grits. They were out of mimosa flights so we were very disappointed since that was a big thing we were excited to try on their Sunday brunch menu. Everything we ordered were large portions and tasted amazing...The pimento grits were incredible! We had a guest with hearing aids and they were able to sit us back near the bowling alley in a booth with cushions that raise you up to table level...It was also loud, but not nearly as overwhelming as the live music up front. We could sit and have conversations with the person sitting beside us. The live music really does not need to be as loud as they have it...It is impossible to hear anyone up front. We could barely talk to the front desk person. I don't think I would ever want to sit up front with its high level of noise, but that looked like a much nicer area to sit. If they get the sound figured out, this is a wonderful place to enjoy an exceptional weekend brunch menu.

I love the Grand. Such a fun place to drink at or have a date. I took my boyfriend for his 30th birthday and the food was so good. Service was friendly and quick and the music was lovely.

The food was delicious, except we didn’t get everything we ordered for appetizers. They came out in like three sections spaced quite a bit apart, and they forgot an order. The main course went more smoothly. The cheddar biscuits were AMAZING!

I have eaten here in the past and enjoyed it. However, they now have robots to run the food. It is very impersonal. Our appetizers and entrees came out so quickly that from the time we entered the restaurant to the time we left, it was 30 minutes. This was too fast and didn’t make for an enjoyable experience. I won’t be back.

There was live music which was very loud - I asked to be seated in the back area and was still pretty loud. Other problem was that music was so loud that everyone at tables were talking even louder. Music in this environment should be more like background music instead of a rock concert. Won't stop me from returning but couple that we brought with us may not return because of loudness

We made reservations a couple of days ahead of time. They were ready and waiting with our table when we arrived. It was a little different than we thought. We asked for high top seating and received a round table with a half cushion and two chairs. It was comfortable and in a nice area near "Fitz ", the designated musician, playing music there. So we didn't mind that it was not the high top two top that we thought. The brussel sprouts were amazing and it was a nice size portion. Roasted potatoes were good and the shrimp was tasty although very small. The atmosphere was a little fancy and fun and the decor with the horses all around were colorful and gave us good ambiance. We walked around to see the bowling area and took pictures at the awesome Wings on the wall near the restrooms. I encourage anyone who wants to eat downtown to visit the Grand on Main.

We went here to celebrate our 6 month anniversary. We were greeted when we walked in and seated promptly. Our server was very polite. We had the ribs collards and the gouda mac and cheese. The cheddar biscuits were hot and fresh out of the oven. Everything was delicious and our food was received in a timely manner. They had a live musician and the environment was very cozy. I definitely would go back and maybe try the bowling next time.

Everything was fantastic. There was a live music that was great. We started with the chedder biscuits and marg flight, which was very tasty. My hubby had the filet with bacon jam and it was amazing. I had ribs falling off the bone and had a really good sauce with a kick at the end. Great for celebrations.

We loved the vibe, history of the building, live music and decor. We loved all but one item we ordered, we had excellent customer service and even met the “Bella Bot” that delivered our food- first time for that. We didn’t have time to bowl in the bowling area or check out the tiki bar downstairs this time.

We waited about 15 minutes before getting a server. My friend had to flag someone down just to order our drinks. The server left us for a good 30-45 minutes after we ordered. Her manager told her she needed to help with the bowling lanes and abandoned us. “Y’all food coming out I’m sorry but we ran out of sweet tea so I’m gonna make some.” Our drinks were all gone dry and it was a mess. My other friend ordered biscuits and they weren’t brought out. We were supposed to have one with our meal so she had to go back and get them plus spoons. The server wasn’t attentive at all. I’ve been here once before and the service was good. You would think that on a dead weekday we would’ve been treated better.

The ambiance was nice, but service was inattentive and food is very average. We had soup but wasn’t given a spoon, I have to ask for one and eventually given a plastic spoon. Not worth the price, bad experience.

The Grand was not what we were looking for or expecting. We had been to a movie next door and were eating a late dinner. We made a reservation at The Grand because we liked the upscale decor (from the pictures on the website) and the menu had a number of dishes we like. The first thing that hit us as soon as we opened the door was the loud music. It was deafening. I felt like we had to shout at the hostess to tell her we had a reservation and it was difficult to converse over dinner. The second thing we noticed was the large screen TV with two women beating up each other on the Ultimate Fighter channel, not the dinner entertainment were looking for. There were positives. Our server, Lauren, was excellent, with a ready smile, friendly demeanor, and enthusiastic service. The Old Fashioneds were excellent and the food was good. So for us, it boils down to atmosphere. We were expecting upscale dining. What we got was a loud sports bar. Maybe we'll go back to bowl or for a drink, but never again for dinner.

There are better restaurants on Main Street. The broasted chicken was very good, but the ribs were inconsistent. Half of the rack was excellent. The other half was underdone. They were from two different slabs. The server was not friendly and most of the staff seemed to lack interest or needed more training. For drinks and appetizers, I’d go back. Not the best experience though.
