The Grand Marlin of Pensacola Beach
I made reservations for my husband and I for my birthday dinner. The restaurant was very busy but it was Mardi Gras weekend. We got our table at our reservation time and the food was fantastic! Our server even brought me a birthday dessert.
Amazing all across the board! Best night of our trip!
Wonderful as always!
Stuck in an off dining area, not the usual seating. I’ll call my next reservation rather than use Open Table
The food was fair, not great. The ambiance was good, the serivice was very good. Food prices are overpriced for food quality.
New Jersey/New York
Freshest fish around! Delicious 👍
The dinner was perfect. Service and food were everything we hoped for. If there was anything to complain about was the noise level. It was difficult to have a conversation. In spite of that it was the best meal we had on vacation and have highly recommended it to others.
Grand Marlin really stepped up for my wife’s birthday. The Shrimp Bienville was awesome and the Tomahawk Chop was cooked perfectly. Service was great and the views were awesome, as well. Long one of our favorites, Grand Marlin is a must every time we’re in the area.
Our 5th time at the marlin on my wife's birthday at both pensacola and Panama city beach. Great place
I have never had a bad meal here. Just took family from upstate New York here, and they loved it!
I love the Grand Marlin. Their Grouper Picatta is my favorite. This visit the meal was just warm. Not accustomed to returning a meal to the kitchen but next time I will ask it to be hot when served.
We've been to The Grand Marlin a few times before this and always had a good experience. Not sure if they were having an off night, but I was not pleased with the experience we had on Sunday. Made reservations for 6:45, got seated and sat for about 30 minutes at a table with the previous customers crumbs and stains all over it before our waiter took our drink order. We decided to stick it out, the appetizer came out cold, and the food wasn't great. It will be a while before we choose to give them another chance.
We had a great experience with friends.
The Brunch menu never disappoints and the food was well prepared.
Never had a bad meal here. Love Daniel! Highly recommend!
The food was fresh and flavorful. The atmosphere was very nice and the noise level was a little loud for me. But over all it was a very pleasant experience. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Waited unusual long time for food to be served. When served by food runners, all 4 dishes were cold. Waitress didn’t visit us back until sometime later. Eaten here numerous times in past 6 years and always good previously. Disappointing but will still come back since this seemed to be an isolated event.
W/ live music this is a tough place to beat. Great food. Every bite should not be this good. But my MW 14oz. Ribeye was some of the best steak I have ever eaten. Beats Ruth’s Chris hands down. They can even do Maryland crab well. Lived in MD for 10 years, this was a good, no, terrific crab cake. Fingerling potatoes so good, even green beans could have been their own entree. So delicious, absolutely fantastic Valentines Day after dinner place. Good cocktails sampled both Grand Marlin and Cat 5. Thumbs up for sure!! Try it out...keep the kids at home. The only downside to the ambiance. It’s an upscale place, keep something special between you and your love.
The food was fresh and delicious. Our server was upbeat and very helpful. Fun place!
Everything was pretty great other than noise level. Food was great, service was great, drinks were good, but the place does not have a cozy/intimate atmosphere. I’d definitely go back, but just not for Valentine’s Day.
I only wish they would ask if you want a booth or table before they print the ticket to seat you. The tables for two are very small. Other than that, everything else was amazing
Went to dinner at a 5:30 pm on Valentine’s Day.
We were seated very promptly to the back corner in what looked like a private party section or small conference room.
Ordered drinks and oyster casino which was great.
Waiter was very good and checked on us frequently.
When we ordered our food I asked how bid were the grilled scallops. He told me that they were hockey puck size, of which there was an option of 2 or four for $36.00 . I opted for 4, so when they came they were a normal size of a $1.00 coin over string beans and garlic mashed potatoes. The flavor was outstanding, but portion size was lack luster.
So in the end $107.99 got you 20oz draft , a small bottle of Prosecco wine , 2 crab cakes dinner and 4 semi jumbo scallops dinner.
Half an hour later I was hungry .
I went with my mom and my dad. They ordered the snapper with vegetables and I ordered the grouper piccata. My parent's meals were very good and mine was mediocre as it was sitting in a pile of grease. we also ordered the oysters casino and the oysters Rockefeller both of which tasted really awesome. The service was okay they were a little slow. Overall we were pleased with our meal and we go back.
We have never been disappointed when we eat there!
We love the patio at Grand Marlin! Such amazing views! Food and service is always great, we love to come here anytime we vacation near Zpendacola Beach
Valentine’s Day lunch date with my wife was awesome . Got there early and they were able to seat us right away. Our waitress was awesome, and food was great as always!
Fabulous dinner tonight at The Grand Marlin! Our server, Thomas B, recommended the Chef’s Special and it did not disappoint. Would love to have it added to the regular menu. We were surprised with an anniversary dessert since we didn’t mention it when we made the reservation. We assumed the Open Table app notified them. It was such a pleasant surprise and just happened to be the dessert we were planning to order! Great service and delicious food. We also really enjoyed the live music. Can’t wait to go back!
Incredible experience, food was some of the best when it comes to seafood
Sunday brunch was a great value for our friends group of 6. Kate, our server, was very attentive and efficient. The $2.50 Mimosa’s and Bloody Mary’s were a big hit as was the Brunch special of Louisiana Bread Pudding French Toast with fresh berries, candied pecans and maple syrup. Outstanding food and service on the beach.
Superb meal with friends. Tomahawk pork chop was fantastic. Excellent as usual!!!
The food was incredible. I have not had a meal that good since I dined at Five Sixty by Wolfgang Puck.
The food here is always amazing and the service is great. They have a wonderful wine list and drink menu. The front area can be quite loud, but luckily we were seated in one of the quieter back rooms. I’ve eaten here twice and both times were fantastic!
Great food and great location. Very attentive service.
Maggie was amazing. Food was awesome as well
Grand Marlin is consistently good. They have a very diverse menu with nightly features. The appetizers are all delicious, as are the salads and entrees. This is one of my "go to" restaurants. They also have a fabulous Sunday brunch. You won't go wrong dining here!
Enjoyed our dinner at the Grand Marlin. They have great weekly specials that I would encourage everyone to take advantage of.
The regular menu items can get a little pricey but the food and presentation is great.
Great food and service! Will visit again and recommend to others!
My date and I showed up around 7pm to have a pre dinner drink just to loosen up to amp up our dinner experience. All of our waiters were superb and the food was incredible. Best restaurant in pcola
We were visiting the Pensacola area and looking for a greatly reviewed seafood restaurant and The Grand Marlin came up as a favorite on Yelp and they promised a great view of the sunset. Our dinner was on Sunday night during the Super Bowl and it was not busy in the restaurant. We made reservations many hours ahead of time through Open Table and requested a great view of the sunset. When we arrived we were promptly seated next to a westward facing window near the kitchen door which was concerning when there were multiple tables next to the windows empty. We did get a great view of the sunset! Our waiter, Alex, was on point and very helpful in selecting our entrees for the evening. The kitchen door traffic was not loud or distracting, thankfully. The only feedback I have that was they did not have their famous hushpuppies available that night and the snapper was tepid. Two people in our group got the Grouper and they both exclaimed the entree was delectable. It was pricey but definitely worth the experience!
Always a good time with family at The Grand Marlin.
I have never had a bad experience or bad food. Love The Grand Marlin and especially the key lime lobster and bbq oysters.
