    Prob the worst experience I’ve ever had here on the panhandle. Would NEVER recommend. EVER. Horrible service. The food was disgusting and the server legit was sweeping and cleaning the entire time RIGHT NEXT TO US and it was 8:15p. She never came back to get refills on drinks or God forbid to even ask how our food was … my 11 year old could have provided better service. Oh, don’t let me forget to mention the manager on staff that night hustled out of there with his cash register at like 9p so I wasn’t able to “speak to a manager”.

    Great time dining here again. We go every year! My Husband and I got the Filet, our friends had the wedge salad and prime Ribeye, both were good! Filets had great flavor, cooked great. Green beans had tons of flavor! The Crème Brûlée was great as well.

    We have been coming here since it opened after falling in love with it in Pensacola. This time was a little disappointing. They walked us upstairs even though we had reservations to try to get us to eat outside. I said that wasn’t okay with me and they moved us back downstairs. Our normal waiter, Hunter, was on vacation and Peter was an okay stand in. We did have empty glasses several times and it just wasn’t the normal level of service. Then the kicker, we got the praline bowl desert that we get every single time… and it’s shrunk, not by a small margin, but half the normal size. The price hasn’t gone down though.

    I specifically requested to have 2nd floor open to the waters. I didn’t receive that. Noise was very loud. Waitress didn’t attend to us very well. Food was limited but really good and expensive.

    Each person in our party was extremely pleased with his/her meal. I would highly recommend this restaurant. The server was very knowledgeable about the menu and the different preparations. She answered all of our questions which lead us to ordering exactly what each of us would like. Save a little room for dessert. It's worth it. The Grand Marlin Martini is delicious.

    The hostess was rude when we arrived. I asked why they would take reservations 30 min prior to closing. She said because I asked. She then stated they were closing in 30 min. Food was good and server was nice. Spent a lot of money, she did not need to be rude.

    Server Christian was so knowledgeable about the menu items, and patient with my many questions! We were particularly impressed with the gumbo’s super dark roux. We had wines by the glass, lobster fingers, grilled fresh peach salad with seared scallops … I don’t remember everything we ate but the atmosphere was fabulous and we just had a really great time!

    From the Caesar salad with a twist, to the signature dish of grouper piccata served over fresh spinach and creamy mashed potatoes, and finishing with the most incredible dessert we have ever tasted - praline shell filled with I cream , fruit, and topped with a wonderful caramel drizzle, this was the best meal we had during our Panama City vacation. If we lived here, we would be regulars! I love this restaurant. Also the singer/ guitarist was excellent. Thanks for an incredible memory. Anne Wentworth

    From reservation to departure we experienced unparalleled service and the most personal experience ever! This was our first time to dine at The Grand Marlin of Panama City Beach. The occasion was our 5th wedding anniversary. Upon arrival we were greeted with happy Anniversary wishes and taken directly to our table with a harbor view. Everyone seemed to know it was our Anniversary and each person was so friendly and welcoming! The oysters on the half shell and gumbo were magnificent and the crab claws along with the fried oysters were delectable! Our server was the best ever! Even on our way out the hostess bid us a happy anniversary and good evening! You can not go wrong at The Grand Marlin!!!

    Overall the best meal we had in PCB this week. But very expensive for what we got. The grouper piccata was really good. My husband had fish and chips. Over all a great experience but we only got two martinis, oysters, a bowl of soup,grouper and fried fish. I think a $178 with tip is bit ridiculous . Be prepared it will be expensive.

    Our waiter was Zack M and he was absolutely incredible. I loved how he knew the entire menu and had great recommendations. Zach was so attentive and friendly too! Our food was sensational, its our favorite restaurant in PCB. Highly recommend!

    We enjoyed a lovely dinner at The Grand Marlin for my birthday this year. It was our first visit to the restaurant and it didn't disappoint! The seating hostess greeted us warmly when we arrived, and even though our reservation was at 7:15, they had the perfect waterfront table waiting for us at 6:45, so instead of waiting in the bar, we were able to be seated and enjoy a pre-dinner cocktail at the table. Our waiter was responsive and courteous and quite thoughtful to bring me a praline cup dessert with Happy Birthday written in chocolate on the plate. I enjoyed the crispy fried lobster tails as my entree -- two tails were slightly on the chewy side, but the 3rd was melt in your mouth perfect! My husband had fried shrimp which he wasn't particularly fond of, but he also had a nice salad with a magnificently savory homemade ranch dressing. Our absolute favorite part of the meal was a perfectly beautiful and scrumptious bowl of she-crab soup with large chunks of tender blue crab. So good I had to take some home!! We will definitely give The Grand Marlin a try on another special occasion or just a night out on the town. Book your reservation today and enjoy!

    I might have higher standards than many for food quality and service, so this restaurant was just ok for me. If I'm going to spend over $400 for dinner for 4 people and only two of them are having drinks, it shoukd really be better than average and this meal was not. The hostess area was crowded and the staff seemed flustered and annoyed when I asked if we would have a water view. Despite having a reservation with a note about a special occasion, we were assigned a table in a windowless room next to a doorway. I was eventually able to move - and appreciated the very kind hostess at the upstairs dining area who offered to help. The food was fine - nothing stood out. Our server left us with no utensils more than once. Cocktails had the wrong ingredients and were undrinkabke so we switched to a very good bottle of wine (we were still charged and paid for the drinks). The salad of grilled peaches and goat cheese was awful - it was also not eaten but we still paid for it. My catch of the day and mashed potatoes was very good - as was the chicken entree and tuna tartare appetizer. Portions were very large. I've heard that brunch here is great - I might return for that.

    We celebrated two family birthdays with a party of seven. Four in our party ate the grouper piccata, two had the crab cakes, and one had the wedge salad with blackened chicken, and it was all delicious. We will definitely keep this at the top of our list for dining out.

    Luke was our server and was very personable and attentive. The BBQ oysters were some of the best oysters I’ve ever had. We ordered the Scallops and the Grouper Piccata. The scallops were perfectly cooked, tender and buttery. The Grouper had an amazing flavor with the lightly fried crust and capers. For dessert, their signature dessert is a Praline Bowl with fresh berries, ice cream and a pecan praline bowl. So good! Highly recommend!
