   Seated upstairs by the wall, a bit noisy and wind was coming in through the window covering but otherwise good, waitress very attentive.

   Had a 2pm reservation and got seated at 230. After quickly ordering we sat waiting on our meals until 345 and nothing we then finally told the waitress we wanted the check for the drinks and appetizer and left! Terrible, a really overall bad experience for my family on Mother’s Day!

   Horrible Mothers Day. Experience. Waited on my kids in our food for over an hour. Gave the server $60 after they told us we didn’t need to pay anything and left without getting our food. Seems they like to pack everyone in, make them wait well past there reservation time, can’t give good service and kitchen is to slow to keep up with all the covers. And yes you’re there and stuck because you want to have a nice Mother’s Day. And where else are you going to get in if you leave. We ended up at Culver’s. Do better!

   We were in Panama City Beach on vacation and found The Grand Marlin. We had an excellent dinner, with great service, while overlooking the water.

   The food was not hot enough when served at the table. The appetizers were much better than the entrees. The poke with the shrimp chips was delicious! The oysters on the Rockefeller dish were a tad too large with too much topping. Austin our server was knowledgeable on the menu, but seemed a little bit in the weeds. He was super friendly.

   We tried the Friday fish fry. Wonderful and crispy fried flounder. The coleslaw had depth in it's flavor that in that it had a tiny bit of jalapeno in it. The french fries were hot and crunchy. In other words no soggy Luke warm fries.

   Eating at the grand Marlin is always a wonderful experience. We go here for every celebration and they never fail. The food is always excellent, the service is outstanding and there is always someone available, checking on you, making sure that everything is to your liking and it’s just a great dining experience. Every time.

   Located in a marina, this nautical themed seafood restaurant is large with 2 bars and a fun atmosphere. We visited on a Thursday evening in early May and the restaurant was very busy. We made a reservation via Open Table and we arrived about 20 minutes early; 6:40 for a 7:00 pm reservation. We were told by one of the 3 hostesses that they would let us know when our table was ready. We were notified by text 10 minutes after our reservation time that our table was ready. We were seated in the upstairs portion of the restaurant at a table for 4. Our waiter had been triple sat and he was trying very hard to accommodate everyone. As a side note, most restaurants these days do seem to be under staffed so I personally feel that patrons need to be more flexible and understanding regarding timing. This restaurant uses food runners so the appetizers arrived in a timely fashion as did the entrees. Food quality was good. We tried the calamari and the highly recommended lobster “ fingers”. Our entrees were well prepared and delicious. We sampled the Flounder Picatta, the fried shrimp and the snapper. Finally, as we were celebrating my wife’s birthday, a beautiful ice cream and fresh fruit dessert was brought to the table for our group to share. I recommend the Grand Marlin for groups, families with children and celebrations. I am not sure it would be a great fit for romantic dining or those looking for a quiet evening out.

   Ribs were good, the Grouper was excellent snd the shrimp dish was very good as well. Attentive staff both at the bar and restaurant.
