Went to have dinner wasn't expecting too much, but wow. I have eaten in 5 star restaurants and this place would beat them hands down.
Tasty food at a fair price. The wait staff was very busy and could have been helped with a few more individuals.
We have eaten here several times. The food is always good, the service is usually excellent. The prices are a bit high, but we will eat here everytime we come to this casino, because the food is reliably delicious.

Zeke was our server. He was attentive to our needs but didn’t hover and didn’t “disappear” like some servers do. Another server was there as well and helped us at one point by bussing a few plates. Our food was delicious and the portions were perfect. Large infact. We will definitely go back. We ordered all of our courses at once and were not dumped on at the same time. They were timed perfectly for us to enjoy each course and even have a moment breather before the next one came. That is much appreciated! Our experience was refreshing because we didn’t feel rushed and was like a nice getaway from the city.
I think this was the worst place I’ve ever eaten at . The hostess was the only person who made it bearable . The drinks took a while to come out and it took her 30 minutes to bring the bread out . Isn’t that the first thing you should have ? When dinner finally came out it was horrible . My boyfriends steak was barely cooked and our potatoes tasted like someone barely even did anything with them . All the while there was only 2 other parties there and they were already taken care of . I wouldn’t recommend and I’ll probably never go back .
We were givin a comp to try the Bistro. We split the buffalo ribeye, it was nice to try but wasn't our favorite. We farm and like beef better. Waiter was great

We were so excited to eat here for our anniversary. The menu looked amazing and our waitress was very friendly. The restaurant was not full but our meal took a long time. Our steaks were very over cooked and the mashed potatoes were dry. Other people at our table enjoyed the bison and said it was delicious, wish my husband and I would have ordered that.
We happened to be there for the Thursday night special-- bison ribeye with king crab legs & two sides for $39! We had medium expectations for the price but we were completely blown away by the quality. We had an incredible meal and excellent service in a surprisingly elegant, fine dining atmosphere for a casino location. Fabulous!
Amazing! Every time we visit Central City we go to Grand Bistro - have never had a bad meal. Everything is amazing!!!!!!
Mediocre food in a room that feels more like a cafeteria than a steakhouse. The service was actually so poor it was comical. We were missing various service items, she only filled some of the water glasses and she couldn’t tell what beers they had or provide a list. At the end she made a production of thanking us and basically telling us we were the last table and yet she had failed to run our credit card, which was sitting right in front of her. While my wife’s filet was nice but my dry aged porterhouse was a sad gray and then over cooked to boot. The sides tasted like leftovers. Nothing to do about it since she didn’t return for 20 minutes and never asked how the food was.
Steaks were not cooked to temperature, and were unbearably salty. Filet was order medium rare but served rare. Porterhouse was ordered medium rare served medium in parts, well done in others. The waiter was great and he comp'ed the food.
This was the second experience for my wife and myself to visit this restaurant.
Unfortunately, we were met with the same result as the first experience.
Our latest experience the server was fantastic. I believe his name is Ezequiel. (sic)
However, the Entrée I ordered, was not.
I had ordered the Porterhouse, cooked medium rare with greens and garlic mashed potatoes.
The meat was cooked to order. However, it had more salt on it than it needed. To the point I was unable to consume more than two or three pieces of a beautiful piece of meat.
I could feel my lips begin to burn from the salt that was on the steak.
Unfortunately, the meat was placed on top of the char greens and those were inedible due to the transfer of the salt flavor.
This has become disappointing of this venue as our first experience was almost identical as this experience.
The meat was overcooked and way salty. I think the concept is good and the lobster was great! The biggest disappointment was that for over 1800 points on my loyalty card, I got only $5 off my meal. Not keen on the loyalty points.
Did not disappoint, certainly lives up to the reputation they’ve created. Will not go anywhere else for steak in the Black Hawk/Central City Area.
The buffalo ribeye was excellent! And surprise, we were served Alaskan king crab legs, not snow crab.

This is a real find in Central City where decent sit-down restaurants are non-existent. Really good value for the food provided too.
Not a good steak. Asparagus was undercooked. Baked potato and bread were good.
Very nice restaurant. Food was great. Our steaks were cooked perfectly & our waiter was good. Very quiet & but should have asked for a booth for a little more privacy but overall we would highly recommend it.
Price were reasonable also.

Server was awesome and quite apologetic for length of time to get our dinner( over an hour) Steak was undercooked and crab legs were ice cold. Only thing offered as compensation was a cup of coffee.
Service could not have been better. Our waiter Josh was more than patient and answered all of our questions. Two of the 3 steaks we ordered were over cooked. The scallop dish was quite tasty, as was the calamari. Just seemed the prices on the steaks were a bit high especially when 5 of your side item choices are potatoes. Soup/salad ala carte. Not the best value for what we paid.
Overall, the experience at the Grand Bistro was not disappointing. Server was great, although his name escaped my memory.
The food was prepared and served in a timely fashion. Unfortunately, while it was edible, there seemed to be an overabundance of salt. My bone in rib eye was ordered medium rare and was just slightly overcooked. My wife ordered the filet Mignon, medium cook level, and was more than slightly under-cooked. It was beet color red in the center. After bringing the cook level to the attention of the server, who acknowledged the color, it was returned to the kitchen. Instead of preparing a new piece of meat, the chef reheated the returned piece. Upon returning the entree to the table, it was now slightly overcooked.
They were short handed in the kitchen and the wait staff took the heat for it, food was well below expectations but I think there was some difficulty with the team they had
Our waiter - Josh was outstanding. He was attentive and kind. The salad and crab cake was really outstanding. As for the chicken w/mushroom ragout - I will say that it rated a "0". Was not even edible. Most disgusting meal we have ever had not to mention that it took 1-1/2 hours to get the main course. So disappointing as we were celebrating an early Valentines Day together. The best thing is that 1 meal was comped and we used food comps for the rest of the meal. Thank goodness our only expense for this really disappointing meal was the tip which was worth it for our waiter.
We had a reservation at 6:30. We didn't get our appetizer at 7:15 and our dinner at 8:00. the food was pretty good, not very warm, the waiter was very nice, but having to wait that long was rediculous! The other customers were leaving even before their dinner arrived.
What a terrible experience! I ate at The Grand Bistro the Sunday before Thanksgiving and had a very nice meal and great service. Tonight, However was a totally different experience. I ordered the calamari appetizer as well as the French onion soup to start with. The calamari came out first and I took one bite and had to send it back because it was literally encrusted in salt. While I was waiting for the replacement my soup came out and unfortunately was very bland. As luck would have it after a few bites my calamari replacement came. It was better, however I don’t like getting all my food at once. For my main course I ordered the aged KC strip which is new to the menu. When it came out is was extremely charred and had little flavor. I ordered the steak medium and it was more like well done. I couldn’t eat it because it was dry and very tough. A lady at an adjacent table received her steak over cooked as well and had to send it back. I’m not sure what was going on in that kitchen tonight, but it wasn’t good. I don’t know that I’ll be back, however I hope they can get things figured out.
