The Granary Square Brasserie
The brasserie buzz through breakfast, morning coffee, lunch and cream teas in the afternoon. Throughout the day the lounge area will be perfect to relax with a drink or for informal meetings with luxurious vintage leather chairs and low brass tables. As the sun sets and we get ready for dinner, the DJ set will begin, and cocktails will flow.
The restaurant is beautiful with cut glass pendant lights, banquettes upholstered in silk and velvet and exotic kilim rugs. The striking central bar, located in the heart of the room, is perfect to survey the scene and enjoy an aperitif cocktail.
Lovely buzzy atmosphere, delicious food. Service a little slow but it was extremely busy.
So warm and cosy outdoor tables even in the rain ! Very friendly staff and steak was excellent thank you
Food was lovely! But service was very slow! A waitress took our order and never came back to check. Someone else brought the food and someone else cleared the table and someone else brought the bill. But I understand getting staff back post pandemic is troublesome and they were busy.
Had a fantastic Birthday lunch with my 3 best girls.
Service was attentive yet fun and relaxed.
Decor and restaurant as a whole felt decadent and special.
And the food was delicious.
Will definitely be coming back.
Thank you for a lovely day.
Thought the menu for brunch was very limited. Realised as soon as the menu was given to me that it was exactly the same as the Ivy Cafe. Disappointed by that
Great food - looks as good as it tastes. lovely cocktails, super chilled wine (perfect). Our only complaint was that it was just a bit cold with the doors open and the wind blowing through.
When i booked the place I mentioned it was for a 40th,we were put rigjt by the door and kept having it open was cold. The service was a little slow in taking orders. Also i requested a desset for the 40th we didn't get the complimentary dessert that was promised. The food was nice and the place itself is lovely but let it down with the above.
Great food and ambience,
Always enjoy going to the Brasserie. The staff are always friendly and the food always amazing.
Lovely food and always enjoy coming here. This occasion we felt rushed. Food came out way too quickly and we hadn’t yet finished our starter when the mains arrived. And staff were overly attentive wanting to clear everything away multiple times before we had finished. We asked if they wanted the table back but said we had plenty of time 🤷🏼♀️
Great place to catch up w we ugh a friend and staff were very accommodating!
Love this place usually and come at least once a month.
This time was not to great though. Service pretty poor.
My steak was sent back as was covered in sauce that I asked to be removed. When it was replaced it was over cooked ( I wanted it pink) and my husband had already finished eating
Called to say running late, abruptly told they only hold the table for 5 min. Arrived 15 minutes late, no hello, just greeted with you now only have your table for 1.5 hours.
Food was lovely and served quick
All of the staff looked truly unhappy and there were no pleasant exchanges.
On departure, there was no goodbye either
Wouldn't return or recommend unfortunately
Lovely place with excellent service. Food very good and lively atmosphere
Cold and dry chips. Offered small table for 2 when we were 3.. struggle to get decent sized table. Had asked to sit by wall over phone as birthday occasion. No attention paid to this. New waitress. No training obviously but nice and did her best. Last time we came it was amazing. This time just not great at all and it’s expensive so somewhat disappointed. Please train your staff.
It was an absolute delight to spend an evening on the comfortable cushioned seats outside at The Grannary Square Brasserie. Staff were attentive and welcoming, the food delicious and beautifully presented. We didn’t feel rushed to finish. Covid-19 precautions were in place but not intrusive.
Lovely place - staff very friendly and professional however one of my party was a little disappointed with the ceaser salad
This is a classy joint, very civilised. The staff are very helpful, the food is lovely and the location is great.
The food was excellent but the service was below par. We had to wait nearly 30mins for a vegetarian menu. The waiter poured the wine and then popped it in bucket by another table. In the end we had to go an get it and pour our own. Lively ambience but background music was loud, so a challenge for conversation for one of our party.
Excellent food, excellent service and wonderful atmosphere. We keep coming back, the experience here is consistently above expectations.
Where do I start? Well - first: we arrived 5 mins late for our reservation but we then had to wait half an hour for our table.
Second: we had been sitting for less than a minute when we were asked for our drink order - then again after a couple of minutes until we begged them to let us have some time to look at the drinks menu.
Third: we placed our food order - within 5 minutes our main course arrived. No starters! So we sent them back.
Fourth: the Arancini were very dry and over cooked
Fifth: the main course - they forgot the fries to one of the dishes, they brought two sides that hadn’t been ordered, the burger and the curries were lukewarm.
So, all in all a very disappointing experience - to be honest the only reason we ate and paid was because we didn’t want to make a fuss and spoil our friend’s evening (they don’t go out in London very often).
Lovely evening & great food/drink slightly marred by very slow service & getting soaked from the dripping edges of the canopy in the rain. When we asked to move inside we were refused despite seeing empty tables & we moved ourselves in anyway. Also we were slightly disappointed that the excellent menu hadn't changed since our last visit 6 months ago.
Nice bar, standard Ivy menu. Service a bit mixed but normal for post lockdown! Nice food, nice cocktails and a nice bottle of rosè
Table was outside of the normal outdoor terrace despite having booked way in advance so ambience not great and hard to get waiter’s attention and then got rained on right at the end of the meal
Great service, wonderful food and a lovely atmosphere sitting outside in the sunshine!
Highly recommend going here!
First visit without knowing what to expect but I had studied menus on website that looked appealing. We all enjoyed our meals and the one vegetarian had a good choice. Loved that the food was served on hot plates and dishes! Other restaurants please note. Stylish, smart restraint with cool interior on a hot day. Everything was clean and staff friendly.
Great place to meet with friends. Lovely staff and great food
This was a long overdue joint birthday celebration and we were delighted to finally make to your Brassiere. Everything regarding Covid safety was observed in a discreet and well managed manner which left us to enjoy our delicious meal. This was not the first time for us here so we knew we were in for a treat. Food was really delicious, service efficient and unobtrusive which made it a lovely occasion. We hope to visit again quite soon and can’t wait to enjoy it all again . Thank you
Lovely food and great atmosphere:)
I loved the place , the food and the service !
I will go back ! And King cross area is looking amazing !
Lovely atmosphere. Good service. Flexible on letting stay at the table(s) a little longer as long as we were clear of the next booking. Food was pretty good although my monk fish was a little over cooked.
Unexpectedly amazing! Everything exceeded expectations …definitely would return
Thanks Granary Square Brasserie, a nice lunch in nice surroundings that all worked very well
Interior was nicely decorated and the seating comfortable, observing social distance between the tables. The service was efficient and helpful. We had the set lunch menu which was good value. The one small criticism was that the Camembert was rubbery and not ripe. It was an extremely hot day so the air conditioning was exactly the right temperature.
Waiter was very rude and not very nice had a allergy to cream told one waiter before hand and it came with cream an then when telling the new waiter he didn’t wanna change it asked what does he want him to do manager had to step in
Good food, good seervice and good value breakfasts!
Had a really nice time at Granary Brasserie. Door was good and the service was great. Will happily come again.
I met a friend for lunch and while it was very hot and frantic outside, inside the restaurant was cool and peaceful. We shared a carafe of Wandering Bear rose which was delicious and both had the Keralan curry also delicious. We shared an apple tart for dessert and we were both delighted to experience it being served at our table with flaming calvados!
The waiting staff were delightful although perhaps a little hasty in pouring our wine before were quite ready for a top up. Overall they were charming and helpful particularly when we asked about booking The lovely Stirling Room. Thank you.
Sat outside, comfortable seats, food was really good and the service was very quick and efficient, especially considering they were very full inside.
Generally a wonderful experience. The service was very slow, but understandable given the mad rush post-lockdown.
Lovely ambience, great staff l, fantastic menu and variety of food! Love it
