Great outdoor seating area and setting. Limited menu, good food. Several menu items are overpriced.

The service was painfully slow - it took an hour to get our first round of drinks, thankfully the food wasn’t as long of a wait. The noise was really bad, the full group agreed it was hard to converse with the person next to you because the noise containment is so poor. Multiple people in the group are fans of this place, so I wouldn’t say never again, I would just say probably not the best spot for a larger group.

Food was excellent, Service was outstanding. Drinks were also great. We went on our anniversary and they gave us a free desert. Lived everything about the restaurant.

We used to love Goodyear House but recently they paired down their menu quite a bit and there aren’t many good options anymore. They used to have plenty of plantbased dishes, which several people in our party prefer, but they only had two last night — The smoked cashew mac and cheese (so good!) and a salad that only included lettuce, onion, and dressing. They didn’t even have a vegetable that was vegan. I’m hoping that Goodyear will bring back some of the good food options they previously had, especially plantbased ones, and will add a plantbased protein option for salads. Otherwise we’ll probably only get drinks here moving forward — The ambience is so great!

This was our first time visiting Good Year House, and we were very disappointed. The rice balls and Crudo were the only dishes we enjoyed. The entrées were not good. The swordfish was not cooked properly, and the ribs were covered with cumin and too salty. The pasta dish was okay but too small for the price. One and done. Will not be back. Parking across the street was pricey as well.

I’ve been many times and like many other dishes however, the portions seemed to continue to decrease the prices continue to rise and it really just not that great on a combined basis. I had a pasta dish that was way over salted. Flank steak option was well over $40. They gave the meat of fancy name on the menu, but it’s still flank steak. Disappointing. I think there are a lot of other better choices in Charlotte. Might’ve been our last time.

We love The Goodyear House. The food is always delicious and I like that they change the menu frequently. There’s always a fish entree, a chicken entree, a pasta entree, etc. but they change how they are prepared regularly which keeps the menu fresh. Service is always spot on. However, this was our first time dining in the small annex building and I won’t make that mistake again. Some sound absorbing materials are desperately needed. The noise level was intolerable and I couldn’t finish my meal fast enough to get out of there. Outside or the main dining room is definitely the way to go. With that in mind I highly recommend The Goodyear House.

Great food, beautiful ambience and outdoor space serves as a nice little escape right outside of uptown Charlotte. Tasty array of cocktail choices, and although a small menu, the dishes, pack a ton of flavor.
