   The food was good and different from most menus. Staff were very friendly. The only negative to our experience was the amount of flies/gnats that were inside getting all over our food and in our faces while we were trying to eat.

   The food and service were both great. There were 4 of us and we stuck to sharing multiple small plates an entree and both desserts. All were delicious and the waiter was great also.

   Felt our experience was good....... but not outstanding. Like the atmosphere. Our waiter was very nice... Our table of four tried to order a dessert which was a strawberry dessert.. waiter said no strawberries available...we had fairly early reservation, wasn't crowded and why list something not available??

   The several persons waiting our table were very inattentive and the restaurant did not appear very busy. The entrees order did not arrive at the same time. We had to ask for clean plates and utensils after the starters We were underwhelmed even though the food was very good. The poor service diminished the evening.

   Service was a little slower than I expected. A+ for ambience, huge patio and outdoor seating but indoor seating was just as great! Didn’t feel like I was in Charlotte in NoDa, the patio space was that transformative. Food was very good, I’d go back to try other things, sweet potatoes were my fave!

    I will never go back to The Goodyear House and here is why: 1.). The water that I got was tab water and it tasted so bad that I couldn’t drink it. 2.) A waitress and it wasn’t my waitress - brought me food that I hadn’t ordered - it was a kids order and she had argued with me about it. Since I had told her that it wasn’t my order. 3.) My waitress came by to see me after about 10 minutes after I received the wrong order and she was chewing food. She said my order should be coming soon. 4.) I waited about 10 more minutes after the she said my order was coming and left the restaurant . I had ordered an egg dish. So, I had waited almost 1/2 hour and during the whole time that I was waiting, my waitress never came by to check on me.

    I really wanted to love GYH, but it just did not meet expectations. Truthfully, the food was very mediocre and not well cooked. Entrees are EXORBITANTLY priced for what you get. Presentation was nice; quality just wasn’t there. Service was good. We had a reservation and arrived on time. They were a little backed up but we were able to wait at the bar and grab a drink. Cocktails were slightly pricey but were well made and tasty - I would return again for drinks.

    Everything was FANTASTIC!! Our server Rocky has been there from day 1 and is not only a great sever but a great historian of the house/restaurant! The food was outstanding (everyone’s meal and apps were delicious), the cocktails were great (I had the spicy margarita and it was the perfect balance), and the environment/outside patio (backyard) is charming!! I’m only sad we had not discovered it sooner, but we will be back again and again!!

    Food and drinks were excellent and service was great. We had a great table inside but with the roll up doors, we had the best of both inside and outside. Server was attentive and gave great recommendations. Food was delicious and we all had different things, so it was nice yo taste a few other dishes. Appetizers snd desserts looked delicious but we were too stuffed to try anything other than the entrees. It was a little pricey for the serving size of the entrees. Parking is the only negative.

    A hidden gem! The huge patio area is completely hidden from the street side but is the best place to dine and enjoy the surroundings. A fun venue with great food and service!

    The ambiance is stellar, but the food was not good. The smash burger wasn’t very flavorful or juicy (personally, I prefer regular burgers, but as far as smash burgers go, this was not a great one) and the rest of of my party was underwhelmed by everything but the fries. The service was also a little bit on the slow side, especially considering it wasn’t a busy night.

    We went here for a birthday and made a reservation for an outdoor table. They said they had the "perfect table" when we arrived and were seated indoors. It was a nice table, but I wondered why the switch? I mentioned the outdoor preference when we got there. This was our first time dining with them, so I was unaware of all the many outdoor options. The food was delicious, however my steak was a bit grisly ($50). The servers were attentive and all the other food was fine. I decided not to send the steak back, since my husband already had his food, and I didn't want to sit with no food knowing he would wait with me AND it was his birthday dinner. So, great ambiance, looked like a fun bar and the food was good. But minus some points for dropping the ball on a nice outdoor table and a kind of funky (expensive) steak.

    It was a beautiful day to sit outside for Mother’s Day dinner. Hannah was an amazing server. We loved trying different small plates. Our favorites were the sautéed shrimp, fried rice balls and the roast beef toast. And, of course, we enjoyed a bag of fries. We had fun playing connect 4 and the playlist was amazing - something for everyone in our family. We loved every minute there and will be back soon

    I wanted to love this place. The space was gorgeous. It has an indoor/outdoor flow which is awesome, but the service was terrible and the food was just average. Two out of the four dishes we ordered weren’t good. The chips on the brunch dish were soggy and the bread on the sausage sandwich was not good. Overall, it was a nice ambiance, but not worth the price.

    We had a reservation but still needed to wait 15 more minutes. The server was very nice but slow to come check on things. The food was not that great my guests both had burgers that were not tasty and I had shrimp and grits that I brought home with me. Wasn’t very tasty either. The devil egg bread for appetizer was the only good thing. Food was overpriced and i honestly won’t be returning

    We came down from Winston-Salem for a mothers day meal. Absolutely no complaints at all, all members of staff were approachable, friendly and helpful. We will be returning either to make a special visit or if we are ever in the Charlotte are!

    We all very much enjoyed our time at the Goodyear House. The menu was delightfully eclectic, the food was delicious, and the wait staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. We all had different entrees and there was a lot of cross-plate sampling, we all were very happy with the meal - 10 out of 10, two thumbs up, we will be going back

    Came hear with my family for my birthday dinner. I was surprised at the prices given we were in Noda not southend. We tried three appetizers the shrimp, the beef on toast and the bread. The bread was great. The beef on toast was soggy as it was sitting in some sort of gravy. The flavors were not a good mix. The shrimp was swimming in a small pot of liquid and came with saltines. Not good. For the mains we had shrimp and grits, scallops and the lamb. My daughter like the scallops but the rest was just ok and small portions for the price. I received a free brownie dessert which was very good. All on all we spent $300 on a sub par meal but the vibe of the place is cool.

    Restaurant acoustics were very loud. Could not hear tablemate at all. Our food was mediocre. Neither of us finished our lunch. My ‘shaved prime rib’ was gray. Bread was soggy. Very unappetizing look to the dish. Definitely was not up to my previous experiences here. Waitperson, Bailey, was fabulous and helpful. Parking is non-existent. Had to pay over $10 to park on Sunday. Brought an old friend here for her first visit. So disappointed. Meh.
