Good quality steak and delicious food. Great service, great vibes. Wine is rather expensive for not the best wine.

Honestly best steak on the Gold Coast! Love that you can share but also get your own meals. The mains are very well done simple meals while the entrees are more elevated so I loved the options! Will be coming back

There’s simply no where on the coast or Brisbane for that matter quite like this place. Not trying to be fancy but a cool venue with great music and even better food and service. Definitely suited to the kind of people that appreciate exceptional food in a super cool relaxed environment. Steak is outstanding (if you get the chance get the tomahawk cooked to perfection and the best I’ve had).

There is no doubt that the food at Glenelg Public House is very good - but I cannot accept that the price tag is warranted. This is not a fine dining establishment. At best it is a glorified bistro. It has concrete floors, some nice looking wine racks and some moody lighting. The service was reasonable without being great - exactly what you would expect at a bistro style restaurant. Our meal with soft drinks only and no dessert cost nearly $90 per head and that price is absurdly expensive for what the place is. Yes the steaks were lovely and a reasonable portion size, but you can get the same food quality nearby for around half the price. You would expect to have proper table service, linens, and not a tatty paper menu for the the price bracket that the Glenelg Public House charges. I do not believe that this restaurant offers value for money unfortunately.

Hi Grant, Thanks for your feedback. While we appreciate you acknowledging the quality of our food, we wanted to offer a little clarity on what we do. Our beef is export-grade, the same exceptional quality rarely found outside of high-end suppliers and almost impossible to come across at your local bistro. We aren't fine dining, just a relaxed environment focused on exceptional service delivering the best produce we can source. As for pricing, we understand everyone has different expectations, but we’re confident you couldn't find the same calibre of steak at half the price. Our menus are paper as they are printed daily based on the produce we have sourced, ensuring both outstanding quality and seasonal variety. We appreciate all feedback even when it is tough Hope to see you again. GPH

We are primarily protein prominent eaters so this is a definite visit for us when we are on the Gold Coast… love the food… have visited twice and it never disappoints.

Disappointing Service Overshadowed an Otherwise Great Lunch We've always enjoyed coming to Glenelg for the food – and once again, the kitchen didn’t disappoint. The meals were fantastic, as expected. Unfortunately, this visit was completely overshadowed by the rude and arrogant attitude of our waitress, which left a sour taste in everyone's mouth. When we asked for a wine recommendation, she pointed us to a $150 bottle without giving any alternatives. One of our group politely asked about another option, which just happened to be $80 – at which point she rolled her eyes. Completely unprofessional. To top it off, when our bill came to over $750 (which one of our friends kindly picked up), he chose not to leave a tip due to the service – and the waitress scoffed and walked off in a huff. We all noticed it, and it certainly didn’t go unnoticed that she was wearing a wrist brace, which made her even more recognizable for all the wrong reasons. We’ve brought large groups here before and were considering it again soon, but after this experience, it will be a long time before we return – if ever. The food might be worth it, but no dish can make up for that kind of attitude.

Glenelg house has amazing food, service and ambience. I think we ordered half the menu- we had oysters, chicken wings, the bone marrow, the prawns, the angus steak, the rump steak, the chicken schnitzel, all the sides, the brownie and an affogato. All the food was exceptional, the bone marrow and prawns were especially delicious. The steaks were cooked to perfection and the sides were all fantastic, the pumpkin was a standout. We also ordered some cocktails that were well balanced. We really enjoyed our experience. Big thanks to all the staff as well who were attentive and friendly
