Girl and the Goose Restaurant is tucked between well known Crowe’s Pub and Mary Mac’s in the heart of Ballsbridge, Dublin 4. Our charming restaurant is situated on the first and second floor of 10 Merrion Road.
Michael Sabik began his cooking career over 10 years ago with Chef Oliver Quennett (La Maison) and gained experience in the highly acclaimed Chapter One Restaurant. Continuing to deliver his experience, expertise and love of food he made his dream come true and opened Girl and the Goose restaurant. He has created a warm relaxed dining experience, where anybody can come and enjoy fresh, Irish and French dishes. We work hard to ensure that every customer’s experience is a positive and memorable one.
Dedicated to innovative and creative food, Michael and his team serve their dishes in an uncomplicated way that relies on freshness, taste and presentation. With our food and service, we continually look to exceed our customers’ expectations.

A lovely space very tastefully decorated,great food, pork belly was amazing as was the mushroom and barley risotto. Good value. We were in Dublin for the rugby and were recommended the restaurant by friends as it was a 5 minute walk from our hotel at Ballsbridge. We will be back!

We had a great time here. Service was great. Food was fantastic taste wise, though the starter was a bit on the small side. Ambience was poor if I'm honest... felt like there was an ipod on shuffle with atrocious chart / pop / random music playing loud enough that we commented to each other on it a few times. .. If they iron out a few small bits like this it will be a great spot. Will recommend it to friends

Our waitress was extremely nice and made sure we were taken care of! Loved the blue decor and the girl and the goose statue at the window, facing over Ballsbridge, great for people watching! Food was incredible :)

The Girl and the Goose was a lovely restaurant. We showed up close to when the kitchen closed and, although most restaurants would have turned us away, we were made to feel welcome. The food was absolutely exceptional and the service was warm and friendly. The ambience of the restaurant is lovely, too. A family-friendly restaurant, with great food options for all palates. I highly recommend this restaurant--a terrific location (right across the street from the Dublin Horse Show). This place gets an A-plus rating from us!!!

Our dinner at the The Girl and the Goose was our last dinner before we left Ireland. The food was fresh, beautifully prepared, and delicious. The service was excellent. The menu had a nice variety of choices--not too many and not too few. Wines by the glass, bottle, and carafe and a choice of beers. I had Grilled Hake with Gnocci and my husband had Braised Irish Beef and Guinness Pie. They have a menu of vegetarian options and are willing to accommodate special dietary needs as well. I would highly recommend this restaurant and will return the next time we are in Dublin.

A small distance away from the heart of tourism, the restaurant is delightfully less crowded with more locals. The staff was friendly, the food variety/tastes were great and the prices were moderate in comparison with restaurants near/on Grafton.

We went for a family dinner. My sons and I had the pan seared scallops. They were perfectly cooked and served with pancetta and hazelnuts. For our mains we had the monkfish with risotto and hake with mash potatoes. Everything was delicious. Thanks for Terrific night.
