Online reservations at the girl & the fig - Sonoma can only be made directly on their website.
We have celebrated so many events at this always consistent restaurant. Can't wait for an excuse to go again
Good service. Ok menu. Very loud. Expected more based on reputation.
Far less interesting and contemporary than El Dorado Kitchen accross the street
I heard so much about this place but was underwhelmed. My cocktail was delicious but overpriced and the food was meh. The fish smelled and tasted greasy. Chicken was flies but dry and overdone. The quiche was overdone.
Was extremely hot and stuffy outside due to the plastic tent that was covering the patio. It wasn’t raining, so I do not know why the patio was covered. When we asked to move to get out of the sun to a table in the shade, the hostess said (rudely) the table was reserved...but no one showed up until we were almost done with our meal.
The food was a disappointment. We heard this was supposed to be one of the best restaurants in Sonoma and came for the food, not necessarily the ambiance. We requested that the steak be cooked medium rare, and it came out a little over medium. The duck was dry and there was no sauce to help with that. The "caramelized onions" were not caramelized properly -- it was still white and sharp instead of brown and sweet.
The best part was that our waiter was great! He was helpful, funny, and energetic -- everything you'd hope for in a waiter.
This restaurant is way too noisy, tables filled with bachelorette parties, and the simple steak was almost uncuttable. This restaurant really needs to re-think its entire structure...it is coasting.
Excellent service and delectable cuisine! One of my favorite restaurants!
Get the short ribs with the polenta, you won’t regret it 🙌🏽 most delicious and flavorful thing I’ve had in a long time. Girl and the Fig also has the best cheese plates with the best wine pairings. I wish I could come here every day!
We were visiting Sonoma to celebrate a birthday and enjoyed a wonderful lunch here while on our Tour! Top Notch Service, Delicious Food & Wine! We can't wait to return!
Met an old high school friend half way for lunch. She drove up from Marin and I drove over from Saint Helena. We both had the BLT Fig Sandwich and really enjoyed our time and the meal!
We went to Girl & a Fig for Sonoma County Restaurant Week. It was busy, but we did get seated quickly. We chose indoors, because it was cold out. It was SUPER noisy. There were two large parties and one table was making animal sounds, and the other was talking so loudly we could barely hear each other. It made dining experience unpleasant. Perhaps we will try to go there another time.
The food was super tasty and beautifully presented. The server was efficient and quick. I did the wine pairing, and they were very good...very short pours (maybe 2-3 sips). One of us did the signature flounder dish which was really delicious. The other of us did the restaurant week 3-courses. The fennel salad was outstanding...lots of flavor. The main was good...carrots a little undercooked for my preference. The dessert was a walnut cake and we ate every bite.
Best meal in Sonoma! Still dreaming about the cheese tower & the flounder!
Exceptional food & service! Local
Ingredients , creative cuisine. Can’t wait to go back.
We've been here a few times. The food and the service is always good. We especially like the Brussel sprout salad and the mushroom risotto.
Everyone told me how great the restaurant was so my expectations were high. They still managed to exceed them. The cauliflower/asparagus soup was great and the short ribs I had were awesome. My gorgeous red headed date got the duck confit and he tore through it like a savage. If you are looking for a great place to eat in Sonoma this is it.
Ordered the burger. The bun was so tough and over toasted that it was a frustrating experience to eat. As I tried to bite through it the bun would compress and the burger would pop our. Tried to attack it by cutting the burger up but the bun was so hard to cut through that I had to diamantle it and cut each side up separately. A shame since the meat was flavorful and the grilled onions wonderful. Just didn't work as a whole.
Finally my first time to this popular restaurant and we loved it!
Felt like 2nd rate tourists sitting in the cold, tent. Looked like tables were open in main restaurant. Hostess not friendly and abrupt. Chilly in tent, food good, not fantastic. Bartender good and crafted drinks nice.
We had a reservation for 8PM and when we showed up (at exactly 8) we were told to check back in at 8:30 and the hostess suggested we take a walk around the plaza. It was 35 degrees outside but it was packed at the bar. Thankfully a couple was just getting up at the bar so we were able to sit there while we waited. At 8:30 our table still wasn't ready so we ate/drank all but our main course at the bar. The food was wonderful but we didn't get to enjoy our dinner at an actual table for half the actual dinner. I can't fault anyone in particular but to have a late reservation and be pushed back nearly 40 min and have to eat at the bar when we were looking forward to a romantic evening was quite a disappointment.
This place has a lot of hype, but it was just okay. It is a rather casual place and is loud and crowded inside. This may be better for lunch.
The waitress was absolutely terrible. I am vegetarian and every thing I requested she made a point to make me feel like what I was ordering was going to be awful without the “flavor of the meat”. Just very rude.
Had a FABULOUS late lunch for long lost friends to catch up. Wonderful service, great food and wine.
The Girl And The Fig has wonderful food and a good wine list. The staff is friendly & efficient and the ambience is warm. Great for a celebration with family and friends but also good for a couple. The cheese plates are amazing!
Our server Alex was friendly and knowledgeable, providing excellent guidance on menu and wine selections. Service was attentive and comfortable. Food was fabulous.
Had reservations and was seated right away. I ordered the Bloody Mary which was soooo good. My husband had the mimosas which was made perfectly. Our brunch was delicious and everything turned up perfect. Location was in the Sonoma plaza which is great because we walked around right after we were done. I would definitely come back!
Everytime I dine here it is impeccable. Perfect service, perfect food and amazing drinks.
Over all it was a great experience!
Always a geeat meal. My “go to” restaurant when friends are in town. The Fig Cafe is my normal chouce when it’s just me given proximity to home, quality of food and wonderful service/ambiance.
We went here our first night staying in the Sonoma Valley and the food and the service were amazing! First off, I could have ordered the cheese board until I exploded! Best cheese board ever! I picked out 3 cheeses, asked our waiter which ones he suggested and he educated us the the exact 3 I had chosen. This man was so amazing with his menu suggestions, passion for the food and knowledge of each menu item that his proficiency made our meal unforgettable. It truly doesn’t matter what we ate because I believe this chef could make anything taste amazing and our server could make any guest’s evening enjoyable. We continued our meal with appetizers, main selections, and desert. All were unbelievably incredible. Fabulous service and a delicious tasting dinner!
We always enjoy eating at The Girl and The Fig. Great food and wine in a beautiful setting . Thank you
Loved every delicious bite and lovely sip. Started brunch with the liver mousse, then shared the arugula salad with fig, lardons, and goat cheese. I had the croque madame and hubby had the house ham hash. Fig Royal and Balsamic Bloody Mary to drink.
Have been meaning to eat here for a while and it did not disappoint. The service and food and value were all great. highly recommend
One of our favorite lunch or dinner spots when in Sonoma. We prefer to sit out on the protected patio. As members of the Rhone Ranger Sidekicks, their selection of Rhone Varietal wines are excellent. Everyone at our table was pleased with the variety and quality of food as well as their friendly and attentive service. Parking can be a challenge, especially it disabled. We all had to walk 3 blocks.
This place is so attitudinal--you'd think they were in New York, not little dinky Slow-noma. Hard to get reservations at our preferred time, even well in advance; got a lecturette from the hostess when our friends were five minutes late (and several tables were still empty;) packed and noisy room; so-so food; clueless service. There are so many other choices in town--no need to waste our time, $ and appetites here.
We used to love going to your restaurant, but we were very disappointed this time. My wife had to send back the beef ribs, and the mussels I ordered were pretty tasteless.
Amazing food and service! We had a perfect girls night dinner on the heated patio!
Great food and service. Loved it!
Really enjoyed our first visit. Will recommend to others that visit the area.
Great food, great service. One of our favorite restaurants.
