   The special omelette and quiche were divine. Perfectly cooked. Everything was so flavorful, even the simple salad with it's light and scrumptious dressing. I look forward to coming back to try some of the other great sounding menu items.

    We have been going to Girl and the fig for 18 years and over the pandemic the management changed. This has seemed to affect the quality of the food. It's just "fine" now and it used to be great! Also, the long time bartender retired recently and they have changed their drink recipes which is also disappointing. We visit from the Peninsula whenever we can get up to Sonoma and expect the same great quality and they just did not deliver. That being said, we have not written them off entirely.

    Girl and Fig is a celebratory place to have a delicious if quite overpriced meal with friends. The food is excellent, but not great for vegetarians or anyone on a restrictive diet. It was always a bit pricey but at this point is beyond--the brussels sprouts are very good, but $17 for a bowl of brussels is ridiculous, as is $25 for a chicken salad.

    Everything was delicious! Our waiter was both charming and attentive. Just realize that if you sit outside that the traffic can be noisy. Other than that, PERFECTION!

    We called to let them know we were going to be 15 min late and they held our table. Thank goodness because we live 90 min away and it was my husband’s birthday. We had a lovely meal with excellent service. Thank you to the staff for not ruining our special day!

    Made the short trip up to Sonoma for a little post Thanksgiving Lunch/cocktail break. This little gem of a restaurant is our go to spot in the wine country. Great service and a nifty menu that rotates on a weekly basis with some very unique drinks that never fail to please.

    The food was very good. I hag the flounder with spinach and mashed potatoes and my companion had the short ribs with roasted root vegetables. The baked apple was too sweet but the tow little cream puffs were yummy although they were supposed to come with pumpkin ice dream. Still good, though with vanilla ice cream. Pumpkin seeds added a nice crunch.

    We attended for Thanksgiving, our first time ever at this restaurant. On the positive side: -The outdoor closed tent was a nice atmosphere, with great natural light. -Our server Leah was very attentive and had a warm personality. -The food was for the most part very tasty, with the parsnip soup and pear salad appetizers delicious, the turkey entree moist and well cooked, and the dessert profiterole with pumpkin ice cream light and satisfying. Acne bread for the table also tasty. What could have been improved: -The hard wooden seating with thin pillows was pretty uncomfortable, and actually hurt after only an hour of sitting. -Some music and flowers on the table would have provided a more cheerful holiday atmosphere. -While the turkey was delicious, there was no real stuffing except for some strange salty cubes ?. Not sure what it was. Also, the kale was salty and rather blah. Meal would have been much improved with real stuffing side dish and maybe choice of mashed or sweet potatoes.

    A well known restaurant in a great location on the Square in Sonoma. A nice restaurant, good food, not great or memorable and not necessarily worth the hype of a must-visit restaurant. While we often visit when we are in town, there are better restaurants in the area with better food with better value, this restaurant works off its name.

    This is my favorite restaurant in Sonoma and we love dining here as much as possible while in town. We had the Roasted Carrot Soup and it was really good!! The fig & arugula salad is a favorite of ours but We do not like goat cheese. Dennis our server talked us into “trying” it as he promised it was a mile blend of goat & feta. Yeah, no!! All I tasted was wild gamey goat cheese and asked more than once for a substitute cheese; Gorgonzola, Blue or Feta anything cow or Sheep but no goat!! He finally asked the chef and asked us “how about Cambozola?” I said “yes please!!” The salad was delicious with the substitute cheese. We shared the Steak Frites and the steak was too rare at first but Dennis took it back (he said the cooks tend to over cook the meat so we ordered it more rare than usual but wanted Med rare) and they brought it to the warmer temperature but the cut of the steak was pretty thick and chewy. We most likely won’t order that again. Randy the GM was amazing and helped us with our VIP Membership. We definitely want to try Suite D and will be back for brunch to try more of our favorites on the menu.

    We had brunch on a Sunday. The service was excellent and the restaurant has a nice, cozy ambiance. We ordered mussels and pate for starters and they were delicious. We all ordered breakfast style entrees though and they were not my favorite. My daughter got pancakes that were covered in marscapone, that had a strange flavor. I got the breakfast sandwich, which was ok, but nothing special. My husband got the omelette of the day, which he said didn't have much substance to it, very little of the ingredients promised - cheese, spinach, and ham. My other daughter got the pork belly hash, which was very good. I would go back, but maybe for lunch or dinner next time.

    The steaks were dry, so was the duck confit and the flounder had no flavor. Overall, we could have gotten the same food at a diner for 60% less what we paid here.

    After more than a 10 yr hiatus, we made it back. The food and service didn't disappoint. It has only gotten better! The house special flounder dish is fantastic. The wine selection is excellent and our server was very knowledgeable and helpful. We highly recommend this restuarant.

    I had the duck confit/cassoulet. It was soooo delicious. My husband had the shrimp sandwich and it was also fantastic. Our server, Raul, made our evening. He was courteous, funny, and knew the menu. Our only complaint was that as a two top, our table was in between the two main aisle-ways. Made for lots of traffic on both sides as well as so much noise, we couldn’t talk to each other without shouting. But the food won’t disappoint! Just go as a group to get a table on the sides.

    Enjoyed a wonderful birthday lunch with my mom! Duck mousse with apple butter was superb - perfect sweetness! Our beet salad was exceptional - not your typical roasted beets you see everywhere these days - truly thoughtful build on excellent ingredients. Best of all was the service: Robert was engaged, humorous & perfectly attentive. He added wonderful conversation to our experience without intruding on our special day while also making sure we felt like his only table for the day!
