the girl & the fig - Sonoma
favorite for both locals and visitors to the area. With a seasonal menu featuring garden vegetables, herbs, and an
abundance of creativity, the rustic Provencal-inspired cuisine allows earth’s true and natural flavors to shine.
Fantastic menu and setting!
Experienced staff, comfortable seating, slightly too cold inside and too hot outside but made up for with a delightful waitress and delicious food and wine.
Service was slow and unresponsive. Put in dinner order and server forgot to ring it in. Dinner took longer than expected. Food was great though!
The lunch experience surpassed my expectations. The staff is attentive and knowledgeable.
The food was totally delicious. We shared a cheese and fruit salad. I had the omelet of the day and my guest enjoyed her Quiche Lorraine. I plan on returning in the near future with my husband.
Food slow in coming . interesting menu. Pleasant staff.
Great variety of food and wine. An enjoyable dining experience with friendly and knowledgeable staff.
I always enjoy meals at the girl & the fig in Sonoma. Love the restaurant's French Bistro atmosphere, their menu and wine options and the service. I can't think of another restaurant in Sonoma that consistently delivers such a delightful experience.
The patio was wonderful. The fig salad was excellent and the selection of wine was great. Our waiter was very accommodating and brought 3 different “samples” of wine until we found one that we loved.
Great vibe. Super service. Delicious food.
Really tasty meal every step of the way, with a great server who gave input and advice on everything that was spot on.
Wonderful outdoor patio with creative food and very friendly & attentive service!
This restaurant has totally gone down. Not worth the money. Steak was over done, salmon was tiny and over done. Totally disappointing.
Mussels are a Must. Charm in every aspect.
Love the flounder!!!!
Our server Ash was outstanding; attentive and professional. The food was awesome with an impressive wine list & an ambitious menu from appetizers to desserts. We enjoyed the fig tasting plate with 3 different types of figs on crostini with a touch of cheese. We'll be back.
Great wine list! We really enjoyed our lunch. I recommend the Quiche Lorraine.
As always, great meal, reasonably priced. Excellent service.
Visit to wine country - second time to The girls and the fig - outstanding food and service
Very good food. Crowded and they try and move you in and out really fast. A bit disconcerting to order wine and meal, have the meal arrive immediately after bread, and be finished within a half hour of being seated! Would have appreciated a more relaxed evening. Really felt rushed. Decided to skip dessert and additional beverage and get out to free up the table since it seemed so important to them.
My only regret...not ordering the cookies and milk!
Not enough options on the menu, no parking, tight quarters.
I am a tour guide. I bring customers here often and I eat here often too. Always enjoy everything.
Best place for dinner in Sonoma! Definitely would recommend.
The food and service were outstanding from the cheese board to our entries everything was excellent. Our server was attentive to our every need, even supplied me with a blanket as we were seated in the patio and when the sun went down it got a little chilly. The dessert was a favorite as well
Great service and creative food
Amazing flounder and great patio environment. Would recommend
The duck pate was the best one I’ve had and I’m a big pate person! The soup was also incredible. I was told I could get the pear salad from the menu a la carte and then told I couldn’t so the substitute salad was just ok - too much dressing didn’t help either. Definitely should have gotten that on the side.
The cookies and milk dessert was very original, very fun, and took 3 of us to finish it - which we did, every last bite! We couldn’t dip the cookies in the milkshake because the container was too small so we poured some of the milkshake on the cookies - hope you didn’t mind😎. Maybe serve the milkshake in a mug so dunkers like is can dunk.
This was my significant others first time and he was very impressed. I go whenever I can conjure up a good reason cause I love it. The food is truly spectacular. I've never had a bad meal. It's a fun place to be and the patio is wonderful. (Inside always feels a little noisy and crowded). Who doesn't love Girl and the Fig?
The rose and sparkling were delicious, as was the cheese plate, salad and soup. Great ambience and our server was super friendly. Highly recommend!
Need some white noise. People at table next to us were sooo loud
Wonderful place to eat when in Sonoma!! My wife and I had terrific salads. Our server brought out a small piece of blue cheese since they didn't have blue cheese olives for my martini. I had the salmon which was terrific....a bit on the small portion side and my wife had the duck confit which was very tasty, although a bit too salty for our taste. Server was terrific. Restaurant has a great vibe, great wine selection and we will be back!!
Burger was far over cooked (well done, when I asked for medium rare), fries were cold and tough, and the fried tomatoes were good but certainly not exceptional. The only positives were the waitress and the wine. This place is way overhyped, I would not recommend wasting your time with it. El Dorado kitchen across the street was a way better experience
Food was quite good (chicken thighs; flounder; steak tartare); wine list is solid; slow service throughout meal dampened our experience; busy/energetic environment but space/decor feels a bit tired; would go back again, but didn't live up to fanfare from reviews, word of mouth, etc.
I was very disappointed in my food experience. I ordered a salad that was to have fig, chèvre, arugula, prosciutto. I requested to replace the meat with some bits of beets as I do not eat meat. I was told that they didn't have enough beets in the restaurant to do that (a sprinkling of beets, really?) but was told that they would add some extra of the other ingredients. I received a salad with one small fig, cut in half, and a teaspoon of the goat cheese. When I requested some extras I did get a couple more beets and a little cheese, but don't understand how something like that would have left the kitchen, been served, and have been acceptable to anyone. I rarely complain about a restaurant, but had been looking forward to this for a long time and told those who went with me what a great place this was reputed to be.
Great food, service and venue
Wonderful mussels and frites. Great cheese and meats fabulous.
Great location and food in Sonoma for casual dining. Definitely need to make a reservation for a table.
Sunday Brunch was deliciously fresh. Service was perfect.
We know G&F well since we lived in Sonoma for the past 15 years. Our dining experience was pretty disappointing, service felt rushed, food not creative and mediocre and way overpriced.
