The Ghost Walks
Join us for the show before the show! (or after with late night bites available)
We had a reservation but they tried to seat us on a soda with a coffee table for dinner. We waited about 20 minutes past our reservation to get a regular table, and then we waited for another 15 to get a menu. Food options were very limited and they had even less because apparently the oven was broken. When our waitress cane over to take our drink order we asked to place our food order too and she literally ran away. She cane back ten minutes later to take our order.
Service was awful it felt like it was everyones first day of the week. The waitresses didn't know the menu or what was available in the kitchen. The food came out randomly from the kitchen. The food was bland and overly priced for what was delivered. We witnessed bartenders shaping ice with bare hands. Just not impressed and wouldnt send my worse enemy to the restaurant.
Disappointing ... food average and service was not good
The service was horrible, the waiter acted like we were a burden even thought it was just us and another table. He got 4/6 of the orders wrong, he was rude when we told him they were wrong, and he was quick to point the finger saying we ordered that (tells me I ordered 3 chicken tacos and 1 beef... I don't even eat beef). The tacos were very gross, lots of fat and cartilage but I guess that's what you get with 1$ tacos. Wouldn't go back. Maybe it's empty for a reason
Food or drinks are not worth the hype.
We ate here before a show. there were 4 of us, 2 tried the fancy drinks on the menu and liked enough to order a 2nd. The other 2 of us had beer or cocktail. Waitress was fabulous and very friendly. 2 had burger and chix club, both said they were great, my steak tips, ordered RARE were not. So if you order them , stress the RARE. The chix milanase was a large thick breast served hot and juicy but slightly under in the middle, manager came over and handled sitch beautifully and then took it off the bill, we werent expecting that as after it was heated up a bit more, my son devoured it, all in all everything had great flavor, i'm just really picky about my RARE meat. We did tip waitress accordingly as I said she was great. Would go again def!
We decided to grab a quick bit pre-theater before Kinky Boots at the Colonial Theater, nothing fancy. This place was right around the corner on Stuart Street. It's quite dark inside, black booths, high tables and a bar. (Should have realized The Ghost Walks, LOL). Server was very nice. The place was somewhat empty for a 6:30 on a Saturday night. The menu was different than what is online but we were able to find something. We ordered a Chicken Club sandwich with fries ($16USD) and a Chicken Milano with Caesar salad. The sandwich was good. Fries were exceptional, nice a crispy and perfectly salted. The salad was generous, nicely dressed and super fresh. The chicken was nicely crisp with panko on the outside and very juicy inside. ($18USD). Overall very pleased with experience. We like trying new places.
Super over priced food and drinks. Not worth the trip.
First impression, the decor was really cool and it was empty so you could really check everything out. The cocktail list was different and the ones we tried were good. The best thing we had for food was the Caesar salad. The wings were just ok, kind of bland, and I would not order the tacos again. We skipped dessert because we figured it wouldn’t be worth it.
Drinks were good, food was fine, location is great for theater district shows. Clientele were younger and louder than some theater-adjacent venues, but it was nice in a lively way.
Definitely do not recommend. Very lame. Barely any food and the menu was totally different than what was printed, with even fewer items and basically nothing vegetarian. The drink in the camera cup had like no liquid in it.
Overall the place was okay. The food menu is very limited. The prices are very high. I guess you pay for the location? I would still recommend this place. The staff were nice.
Terrible drinks and food. The burger my friend got was a hard as a rock. The specialty cocktails looked cool but tasted terrible. The waitress was extremely slow and took forever to get our orders, food and bill even though the place was not busy at all. Also, she made us divide the bill and calculate everything. Also, they add a 20% tip to your bill right away so be careful.
Really cool spot and some light R&B = good chill dinner
Food - awful, but mostly the service was just the worst I’ve EVER experienced.
Cool, new 'hot spot' that looks fun but had terrible service, salty drinks, and mediocre food... I'd pass on a second visit.
Shocked on how much our bill was for the Quality of food it’s basically pub food that wasn’t that great and you could go somewhere else especially in Boston for better quality food for what we spent instagram does a nice job promoting and making it look like somewhere you want to check out glad we did and probably wouldn’t go Back
The ambience of the restaurant is great. Super cool and chic. It took us over an hour to receive any appetizer and then longer to find out our meals were still frozen and were then 86’d. We chose another item on the menu (steak tips) and these were just poor quality and has a weird taste. The server was amazing. Very accommodating and aplologetic. We also found out the general manager heard about what happened and didn’t bother to stop by. We will not be back. Again - server and ambiance was amazing. Food quality was scary.
Our drinks had no alcohol in them at all and were $15 each, the place looks like it would be great during initial research online but upon arrival we realized it was just sad and corny. Left after taking a sip of our drinks. This “bar” won’t last.
Unfortunately, I had high expectations to this place given it’s close proximity to the Boch Center and what I saw online. It turned out to be a terrible dining experience. Worst of my life actually. After waiting an hour for our food, my wife and I received salmon and steak that were too undercooked to eat.
To their credit, the drinks were very nice and the management fully refunded our meal. However, I still didn’t get anything to eat before our show. Very sad indeed.
I had eaten here before and the food was great. This time we didn't really like it. We went before the Theatre and there was no one there, we left the restaurant around 7:00pm and there was still no one there. Not sure if I would go again. They have very creative and fun drinks.
The staff was nice and attentive, but the food was terrible! Ambience was pretty cool, low score was because of the holes in the flooring of the bathroom.
We walked in expecting an upscale cocktail lounge and were unpleasantly surprised. Extremely loud inside and more close to a towny bar than anything else. We walked out before we ordered dinner or drinks.
Menu was being switched over so we didn’t have an opportunity to get food as they were all sold out and didn’t have anything to replace it.
We came here on a whim, and I’m so glad! The bartender was amazing (really crafty and thoughtful drinks) and the food was delicious. Get the wings, for sure. If you like heat, ask to try the chili sauce because it is HOT. Even the wings alone are pretty tasty. Maybe even the best I’ve had!
They also have a really cool cheese platter. $3 per cheese and it comes with tasty bread and a nice fruit compote.
I’ll be back for sure!
Pre theater dinner. My friend is on the keto diet and got chicken wings and Brussels sprouts. I got the burger and fries. Drinks are creative but expensive. Which is OK if you only have one. The burger was really good with a different twist of ketchup with something called tomato jam-it actually was pretty good. I asked for it to come without onions but I had to pick them all out. The ambiance was nice not too loud or crowded. It was early and we liked the decor and atmosphere.
Went for a birthday celebration. I didn’t get the waitress’ name but she was amazing and make the say extra special
Everything was so great except for the service. So slow, but we think it was an understaffing issue. Otherwise we had an amazing time!
Drinks were good. Had the sweet potato tacos and wagyu burger, both very good. Service was not good but very cool spot. Not super busy but that’s probably because it’s relatively new
Great time! Good music! Great service! Good delicious. Will re visit again.
Fun place and atmosphere. Yummy food and drinks too!
We will never, ever, ever return. Like a prior reviewer, we read the reviews and thought that we would try it regardless. You would get a much higher quality of food at your local gas station. Everything on their extremely limited menu is clearly is prepared ahead of time and microwaved before being brought to the table. Very limited beer and wine selection. Don’t go. Many better options out there.
Amazing place ! Took my mother’s and my 17 year old son to Hamilton and before the show we wanted a fun new place to go to....... everything and everyone was so friendly and nice and the food was amazing! Definitely recommend
Great place to have a good time with your group! Drinks decorations are really creative. 100% recommended
Very salty main course. Oysters good. Music volume went up and down.
Great spot in Theater District. Really nice cocktails and decent food menu. A little pricey, but that's to be expected in this area.
Cocktails were the star of the show and the ghost wings were amazing.
Good food. Great theater access. Long wait for drinks and food
I enjoyed the ambiance and hospitality was great. The food and drinks are pretty mediocre.
Great spot for drinks for a larger group. Celebrated a birthday and we had a great table and server. We didn’t do food but everyone enjoyed drinks and shared the large mule with the group.
Made a reservation for a coworkers birthday lunch. Our reservation was accepted but the restaurant was not even open. I called and left a voice message and no one bothered to call back. Was excited to try it but definitely not impressed with the service. Super awkward situation.
