The George is Providence's newest piano bar and upscale casual dining restaurant featuring American fare, elevated comfort food, delightfully crafted cocktails, and live piano every Tuesday - Sunday.

Enjoy Brunch with Live Piano every Sunday from 10am to 1:30pm and dinner from 2pm to 5pm.

Our Speakeasy Lounge opens every Friday and Saturday evening at 7pm. Seating is available on a first come, first seated basis. Live music starts at 9:30pm.

The George is truly a dining experience not just a good meal. The decor and atmosphere are perfect for a romantic date night. Having the piano bar with quality music to listen to during the meal was great, the pianist played many classic favorites! We absolutely loved the calamari with the Thai chili sauce, it was crispy and plentiful. I had the chicken francaise and my husband had the short ribs and we enjoyed both meals. There was plenty of food so we both had leftovers. The dirty martini with blue cheese olives was strong and hit the spot! The George is conveniently located walking distance to the PPAC so this makes it a prime location for a pre-show dinner. I also appreciate that the owner is present and makes it a point to visit tables and check on the customers, so professional and welcoming!

The wait staff and the food at the George is superb and I always enjoy everything.I get.. I always get the wedge salad with a protein side and it is enough to feed me 2 to 3 meals simply delicious.

Enjoyed a great brunch at The George. Atmosphere is great. Enjoyed reading through the creatively named menu items. Good variety of choices. Service was good and staff were friendly.

First time at The George and beautiful interior, food was ok noting special dessert were fantastic, staff was very friendly and attentive. In reading the website regarding dress code or attire it stated Smart Casual, I full understand that in this market that customers are needed to survive but when you have people walking in with shorts, T-Shirts and sweat suits wearing baseball hats at a table/bar you have lost me.

Great food , ambiance and entertainment overall. We were seated near the bar area, with live entertainment. Food was very good from calamari, to stuffed mushrooms,to the Caesar salad. Drinks were very well crafted and something available for everyone from whiskey drinkers to citrus cocktails to wine. Robust entree selection from sandwiches to seafood to steaks and an amazing dessert selection from an on site pastry chef. Can’t wait to come back and check out the dining room.

We went there after my son's HS Graduation, as timing was a bit funky we needed to have a late dinner and hey are open late. It was a great place to celebrate. Very attentive waitress, quick turn aorund on food (we were all hungry as it was late). Tasty drinks, the manager swung by to check on us and was very pleasant and one of the owners was playing the piano and afer his set, came by to tell us to enjoy and not rush they were happy to have us as diners. It was a great ending to a great day. Thanks again.

We stumbled on this place and decided to give it a try. The entire experience was enjoyable—our waitress, Alexia, was on top of her game and gave the impression that she wanted us to gave a good experience. The food was excellent, both in flavor and portion size, if anything there was too much food. The prices were very reasonable.
