The beautifully refurbished George Hotel offers not only fine dining and comfort dishes in the colonial inspired décor of the restaurant, but an array of cocktails in the lavish Bobbie's Bar, as well as decadent Afternoon Teas in the botanical haven that is the Orangery.

Afternoon tea for our 25th wedding anniversary. Food was amazing, plenty of choice. Staff really helpful and attentive. Beautiful hotel. Highly recommend

A lovely experience overall. The food and service were both excellent, complemented by tasteful décor and a welcoming ambiance. Ample parking is available at the rear of the premises, making access easy and convenient. A particular highlight was the immaculate condition of the toilets – always a reassuring indicator of a well-managed establishment.

A tremendous first visit It won't be the last! Highly recommended! Really friendly and professional greeting. All staff friendly and interested in us with excellent customer service skills. Food was lovely Duck, Cod and Ribeye - Perfectly cooked and presented. Very good wine list to satisfy all tastes - Well chosen indeed How did we feel as we left? "What a tremendous meal and occasion in lovely surroundings!" Many, many thanks!

It's my first time here. I was curious as I have driven past here multiple times and wondered what it's like. Overall definitely worth the visit. Staff were friendly, food is lovely and it's such a nice place to be.

I've eaten here multiple times and always loved it. I'm vegetarian and gluten free and they have always looked after me. Today was a disappointment. The usual gluten free roll was replaced by thin dry sliced gluten free bread. I asked why I wasn't getting the usual roll and was told they've changed supplier so it was no longer available. I said the bread was very dry and was told that gluten free bread is dry. I've been coeliac for 13 years and today there are many gluten free breads that are NOT dry. Do disappointed. Didn't even get a free cup of tea as a sorry!

Our favourite place to go for dinner! Food was fantastic as always and the staff are friendly and professional. Cocktails were great. Looking forward to trying the new cocktails very soon!

Service exceptional but we were seated close to kitchen doors which on leaving banged . Food was very good
