   First time visit to The George and Dragon. Staff were excellent and working their socks off on a very busy Friday evening. Food was very good. We will be back

   We were in a lovely small room in a beautiful old building. Every member of staff we came into contact with was very friendly and efficient. The food was excellent and enjoyed by everyone at our table. This was our first visit but we would definitely go back there again.

   Little and quite poor vegetarian choices. Asked for menu and was not told there was a specials board which we later noticed on one end of the bar. We didn't realise however that there were more choices on the reverse. Had we known, two of my group would have chosen differently. Tried to phone to ask questions when booking but constantly had the engaged tone all evening.

   Good quality food, well priced, with a good selection and nice and hot. Good selection of beers too. There was a minor mistake with the delivery of one of our dinners (wrong pie was cooked), but I was happy to wait the 20 mins for the correct one to be cooked and that wasn't a problem, so that is why only 4 stars for the service, otherwise faultless. I didn't ask for any reduction, but we were informed when the bill came that they hadn't charged for it, which I thought was very thoughtful, so i tipped accordingly. Would definetely use again if in the area and can happily recommend it to anyone, especially the pies.

   Four of us had lunch and we all went for the pies. I cannot recommend them strongly enough. I had the the Steak and Stilton and it was full of steak in a rich gravy. One of our party had the steak and kidney in suet pastry, it was very well received, but only order if you have a good appetite as it was huge. A good selection of real ales and wine by the glass.

   Another lovely Sunday roast at the pub. It's a regular visit for us now. People, food and the atmosphere are all great. Thanks to the team there. See you soon.

   We had a great time. A lovely country pub with lots of character and the food was delicious. The kids shared a pizza and a dessert as the servings were big. Servers were lovely too. Would definitely return.
