The Gate House is one of Niagara-on-the-Lake’s most iconic and cherished landmarks. Idyllically situated on Queen Street, it overlooks Old Town and incorporates bright floor-to-ceiling windows throughout an open-concept dining area. These days, it's home to one of the best Sunday Brunches in the Niagara region! Our brunch experience is a mix of a la carte and buffet offerings and is finished with a sweets table that includes a chocolate fountain. The delicious menu, buffet selection and sweets table have been hand-crafted by the talented culinary team at 124 on Queen Hotel and Spa - the same team at Treadwell Cuisine and NOTL Bar & Restaurant.

Outside of Sunday Brunch, The Gate House is the perfect spot for meetings, social events, and weddings. We recently ate here for their Christmas with Santa breakfast. We were very excited to participate and had high hopes due to recommendations from fellow insta-gramers. Unfortunately we had a terrible experience. We were “forgotten” for 15 minutes upon sitting, we kept brushing it off thinking surely someone will come .. but eventually I had to go up to the bar where 4 servers stood, just looking around, and asked if we had a server. The hostess than came around and apologized, took our coffee order, but still no sign of a server. Several minutes later the server came to the table; with no sorry, or introduction and simply asked “are you ready to order”. As we had our 16 month old with us, we ordered right away. We never received any coffee refill offer, asked how the food was or checked on until such time our plates were empty and he asked to take them away. He quickly brought the bill and stood over us as we paid. $140 for breakfast and terrible service. It was lovely to see Santa and take some photos however it was far from worth it and would not return based on our experience.

There is no restaurant serving anything at this location!! We arrived and there were no tables set up, the staff seemed surprised and did not even know that we had a reservation! Absolute disaster.

Excellent Easter Brunch, the food was fantastic and I was extremely happy with the portion size and value for my dollar. I look forward to many return visits on the various holidays that they offer brunch.

Food and service was great but it was freezing - there seemed to be something up with the ac/heat. I had to wear my coat, but overall it was a lovely place to dine pre-theatre.
