There were 10 of us in our party, including 3 kids, so I am trying to give them credit where it is due...however, the food was not good. Specifically, not many items came out hot, in fact all of our eggs were cold or over-cooked or both. I ordered the Redneck Benedict, which was supposed to be served on a corn muffin. Either they ran out, or someone made a mistake and grabbed the wrong muffin, but it was served on an apple-cinnamon muffin, it was kind of gross. Luckily I didn't get sausage gravy on my dish, so I was able to eat the sausage and egg separate from the apple muffin. Poached eggs were more like hard-boiled eggs. Service was very friendly and attentive, I'd give it another shot.

The staff was amazingly nice- allowing us to sit 15 minutes before our reservation. The food was delicious and the restaurant is located in a cute area nearby other shops. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

We were stuck in traffic for one hour because of the broad street run and I called twice to push it back. they were very accommodating on the phone but when i showed up at the final reservation time they had cancelled the reservation and seemed angry when we had came but were very understanding on the phone. Service is always hit or miss there but this time was not too bad. This might have been my last time there

This was our 1st visit; we usually go to Cuba Libre.

We were the only table being waited on; all other patrons were at the bar. We were a party of 7, the hostess/waitress led us to a table with 6 chairs. We pulled a table & additional chair ourselves. She served us 6 waters and 4 place settings. We found others on our own. One of the orders came out of the kitchen wrong which she fixed. When she brought the bill she told us that she removed it (without any complaint or request from us), but she didn’t. She was very kind and polite but incredibly inefficient for having just one table. She could not find our open table rez to check us in. And the food was expensive for the quality even with half price apps.

The only suggestion I would make is regarding the mimosas, they have too much OJ. BUT overall our experience was great!

Attempted to eat here as it was recommended. The hostess was no where to be found and after waiting st least five minutes she showed up and then brought us to our table. Another five minutes goes by and no one stops at the table to either greet us or take our order.

The place was chaotic and the management doesn’t seem to have a handle on anything.

We got up and walked out never to return or recommend this place to anyone.

We were there for the Happy Hour, somewhat disappointed in that only special apps were discounted but the taste of those that we paid full price were well worth the cost.

Arrived for an 11:15 brunch reservation, for 6, were immediately seated and beverage orders taken, followed a few minutes later by our food orders. Interestingly enough, we were told they only had regular coffee, no decaf at all. At the time there were only two other tables occupied, one large and one small party.

We noticed after about half an hour that the other large party had no food, and the place was filling up pretty fast. Closing in on 12:15, the other large party had just been served, one of the newer smaller tables had food and we were still waiting, and had apparently also been abandoned on coffee refills. We ordered basic breakfast fare, eggs, omelets, waffles, french toast, nothing exotic. Went looking for our server, a lady I assume to be the manager asked me what I was looking for, and I told here "our food." Took about another 10 minutes for our meal to arrive. The food quality was just middle of the road, nothing spectacular.

Nice old building with lots of character, but the place either seemed to be new to serving a Sunday brunch crowd or having some major kitchen issues. In the end they took the coffee and soft drinks off our bill, big deal. Basically seemed like a neighborhood bar trying to serve a brunch.

I had my birthday brunch at the Gaslight and had an amazing time. This was not my first time here but I hadn’t been in about 3 years or so. I noticed a menu change but everything was perfect. I would definitely come back and not wait 3 years to do so! I think I found my new brunch spot.

Was not happy with it - they called a day before cause they needed notice if we were doing bottomless mimosas and we had to sign a waiver they didn’t bother to ask for when we got there. We got the chicken and waffles - chicken was bland and their menu was small . Between the two of us we had 11 mimosas and they weren’t bubbly . Totally not worth $$

a great experience at the gaslight. we booked them at the last minute for new year's eve.

the service was outstanding and the staff very friendly. the food does not overwhelm you with its basic sandwich/entree list. they offer a salad with their sandwiches in lieu of fries which is nice. the drinks were excellent./, a great spot to go to if you are going to a movie at the ritz!

Great service and food. My only reason for taking off 1 star is for the check at the end. Our party was 8 people and the server did not leave us the itemized copy of the receipt for us to review, so we could not see if gratuity was added to the check. I had to go find her to ask for a copy of the itemized receipt - we found that gratuity had in fact been added - glad we checked so that we didn't accidentally double tip. It felt a little bit sneaky to take that itemized receipt before we could review it. Otherwise it was a great meal and good service!

My friends and I did not enjoy our Saturday brunch at The Gaslight. After making a reservation on Open Table earlier that morning, which I understand might be cutting it close, it was not crowded/busy during the three hours we spent there. The menu has some great options but the staff was unaccommodating after asking if we could participate in the bottomless mimosa or ordering a pitcher of mimosas. We were told we had to sign a waiver at least 24-hours in advance to our reservation to order bottomless mimosas. How would we know that? It took over 20 minutes just to get water and water glasses. The food was fine. The atmosphere is very charming and it's in a great location but we will not be returning.

Came for brunch on a Saturday and we had a below average experience. The waitress was nice but very slow and not very attentive. The food was average and the portions seemed a little on the smaller side. I came with a group of friends visiting from out of town and I was a little embarrassed to bring them here. I do not plan on coming back unless it is only for drinks.

A small group of us came in as a going away party of sorts. It was a little loud in there due to happy hour but other than that....I loved it. The server was amazing, the appetizers good, and the drinks delicious. I think I just found my new after work spot. Love it. Thanks so much for a great evening.

I went to Sunday brunch on 8/26 @ 1pm and had 4 guests with me. The restaurant was pretty empty. Our bloody Mary’s were okay, nothing special. The food was poor with a sad portion of scrabbled eggs that wasn’t worth the price of the meal. The home fries were deep fried and tasteless. My friend got the GSL burger which looked good but was very greasy and was nothing special. Aside from the alcoholic beverages, the food reminded me of eating in my elementary school cafeteria. I would never return to this place and certainly not have brunch.

The best dish eaten was an appetizer involving brussel sprouts. As for the entrees eaten: the fish tacos were decent but nothing noteworthy, the fish and chips had a thick batter that was too heavy for my preferences (but great fries), and the mac'n'cheese with chicken was delicious. The food, all in all, was nothing special (save for the brussel sprouts), but the service was quick and the waitstaff were friendly.

I've been there three or four times and each time the food was very good. The service, however, has been all over the map. This last time was AWFUL! It took forever to get drinks, and the food order was screwed up and came out with such poor timing that half the group was nearly done by the time all 8 people had their food. They did take a couple of drinks off the tab in an effort to make up for the delays and problems, but it put a total damper on a birthday celebration. There are so many good restaurants in Philly, that I'm not sure you need to endure that.

They no longer offer bottomless at brunch and didn’t tell me when I called them about their brunch. Bottomless was the o y reason I choose this place so I was very dissapointed when they told me this at the beginning of my meal. Also my food, the waffle, was cold and gross. It was obvious the ingredients were very poor, possibly even from a box. I would not dine here again or recommend it.
