   Everything from the tequila cocktails, cauliflower appetizers and our different entrees (burgers, steak sandwich, and lobster roll) was outstanding. We look forward to returning and sitting outside when the weather warms up!

   Everything was great. Our server was so sweet! Food was great too. We had the Ricotta pancakes, The Garrison Burger & chicken and waffles. As far as drinks, the Bloody Mary was as good as it looks! I will say, we weren’t the biggest fans of the drink “You Can Call Me Honey”. It tasted a bit like a Ricola. All other drinks (Pink Smoke, Old Fashion, French 75 & Margarita) were great! Would definitely visit again & WOULD recommend.

   Local recommendatin from a coworker and glad we went. Our waiter, Ryan, was very busy upstairs because he was the only waiter for a long time which made service a bit slow but overall a nice hidden gem to try.

   Wanted my cousin to experience The Garrison since I have been and loved it and she hasn’t been able to get in. We came for our birthdays. She had the fish and chips and the breading was like a sponge. Very soggy. They were out of about 6 wines and no New Zealand Sauv Blanc substitute. Our order somehow did not go in when she put it in the system so there was extra wait time. There was no adjustment for the fish or wait time. We thought we might get free ice cream for our birthdays. Nothing. I was so disappointed. It left me with a negative feeling. On the plus side mine was terrific. I had the burger with an egg. Our server was very sweet and works next door but we both felt as if a price adjustment or some compensation would have been nice to offer.

    This was our second visit. The atmosphere continues to be fantastic but the crowd was definitely livelier since it was a Saturday night. It was very loud. The service was just ok. And a few of the dishes that we had had last time were not as good this visit (buffalo cauliflower, fried green tomatoes). Also, we asked to have no bacon on the burger and tomatoes and the kitchen still sent it out on both. Oh well. Being a Saturday night we understand it's crazy and busy.

    I really like this restaurant. This is the third time I have been. The service was better but still has a way to go. I had to ask for a cocktail menu then for the wine list. All menus should have been provided when we were seated. The cocktail was great but took forever to get. My husbands wine came right away. When I ordered a second cocktail, same kind, the waitress made it and it was not the same as the first one. I appreciated her getting it to me quickly but I expected the same cocktail as the first one. I think she new it would take forever to get. They need more bartenders.

    Food: Crab hush puppies were amazing, fish and chips were good, burger was ordered med-well but came med, truffle parm fries were too strong. Server: very slow to greet us, only spoke to us twice Atmosphere: very nice, however we booked a table upstairs but were seated downstairs right by the bar which was very loud. Booked for a birthday dinner and the server never acknowledged that. He barely spoke to us twice, never cleared our table (the GM ended up doing that). He didn’t seem to care that we were there at all.

    Was there on a Friday night with a reservation. It took over 15 minutes for someone to come to our table of 2, despite a half full dining room. After ordering it took another 25 minutes to get our drinks and food with one of the orders being incorrect and another 15 minutes to fix that. It seems like we were just an oversight, but very unfortunate since we were really excited to be there and seeing others served in a more timely manner. Drinks were great, food was good, place is beautiful - but not sure if we will be back anytime soon due to our experience with service.

    It was a pleasure to see a packed house when we walked into the place. They've obviously built a good following after only 5 months at this location. We enjoyed our meal but were surprised that they were out of several items on the menu (3 salads, 1 app, 1 entree) and it was Saturday @ 7:00. The service was exceptional. When Taylor wasn't taking care of us, one of the other staff helped with enthusiasm. We had the braised short ribs, salmon, and Brussels. All were good as was the Côtes du Rhône. The restaurant was fun and the atmosphere very casual.

    Hostess was not at hostess stand. Had 5:30 reservations. Arrived at 5:25 and line out door waiting to enter because hostess was getting her dinner? Brought back her burger & fries to the area behind the hostess stand. Apparently her dinner was more important than customers wait times ( we had to be timely due to babysitter & Garrison stating 2 hour max limit for table). No apologies to anyone for leaving hostess stand unattended. After 15 minutes finally seated. No server for an additional 10 minutes. Finally greeted by a lady who stated she was not our server as he was in “ back and busy”. She took our drink order. 15 more minutes pass-young man arrives. No apologies-no drinks. He was our server I confirmed after I asked. He confirmed our drink order again. After another 15 minutes of no drinks-no appearances & watching additional staff eat in the butler’s pantry area at end of var-we left. No one stopped us or bothered to follow up. Do not waste you time-energy or money on the Garrison. Epic fail!

    The food was OK, my fries definitely had freezer burn on them, because of the aftertaste. the fish I got was definitely frozen and covered in batter to where the fish was undercooked and falling apart.

    I chose The Garrison for my birthday lunch and it was pretty good. The only “bad thing” is that their bartender called in so drinks were limited and it took a bit longer for service in general due to staff issues. Our server was nice and did his best and our food was piping hot. I order the buffalo chicken sandwich with fries and it was all delicious. It also wasn’t very packed given a Saturday afternoon so I was happy about that. I would like to go again for dinner.

    The restaurant is a cool vibe, but extremely loud in a tight space. It was a relatively non busy night but the service was very slow, drinks took forever and the waitress we had threw out our leftovers rather than boxing. The value of the food compared to the price is just not great. I expected a lot better after waiting to come here. Unless you want a dressed up burger I would try elsewhere

    Only complaint was that there were several items that were either no longer available on the menu or were different than the way they read on the menu & we were not informed until we ordered said items. Up front communication would have been helpful. Food was all very good, scallops were delicious!

    I had to book a reservation at a later slot to get a seat in the main dining room downstairs. On arrival, the host said she did not have any information and would not honor it. I showed her my Open Table reservation specifically stating the main dining room, and she didn't care. We ended up at the bar and the staff worked on cleanup (wiping down and sealing bottles two hours before closing. I ordered a martini and received a $4.00 up charge = $16. Higher than the specialty cocktails. Didn't expect the upcharge. Food was great and a good value.

    Took forever to get drinks and food was way overpriced for what we got. I got an entree salad that was the size of a small side salad and my salmon was way overcooked. Spent $200 and felt like I needed to come home and have a snack.

    Our table had the Cheerwine short ribs and The Dirty Gamecock chicken. We loved them both! Also, had the Ravioli appetizer that was great! Craft cocktails and a fun atmosphere will definitely make us return! The owner is very personable too!

    1st time trying the restaurant. We loved it. Will come back again we tried several items to see what we liked. Loved the NC egg rolls but would have loved a barbecue sauce instead. Steak sandwich was delicious. Wines by the glass had a great variety of selections

    The food and drinks were very good. My husband said the scallop dish was the best he’s ever had! The chocolate mousse desert was so delicious! Cocktails were good though it seemed to take forever to get them. I felt like i kept hearing our server apologize to all of his tables on the wait time, and there were 3 people behind the bar at one point. That was really the only thing we didn’t enjoy about our experience.

    Realized it was too early for restaurant week, fine. However, others were served off of that menu. It was late lunch but we were there for over two hours. Appetizers were delicious. Drinks took a good 30 min+. I don't even recall when we got our main meal. Both were tough, under seasoned and that was de-constucting the sandwich because you couldn't bite into/through it. Probably won't be back. A shame overall because the ambience is great as was most of a what was ordered.

    Went during restaurant week with Chicago friends and everyone loved their food. 1/2 chicken perfectly cooked with awesome collard greens. Our server, Lauren was outstanding! Recommended wine with dinner, easily made some menu adjustments. Loved the deviled eggs and bbq egg roll as apps. Definitely a repeat, can’t wait to go back

    We went to The Garrison for the first time for Charlotte’s Restaurant Week. We immediately loved the ambience inside the restaurant with the lighting with the huge chandeliers. There is a larger bar downstairs, as well as a smaller bar upstairs. There are more tables upstairs than down. The staff was warm and inviting, and happy to have us there. The food was absolutely outstanding. We started with the toasted ravioli (which did not disappoint) as well as the roasted beet salad, (which was very tasty and innovative). We ordered the scallop entrée as well as the petite filet, and both of them were cooked to perfection.and wonderful. For the finisher, we had the chocolate mousse, which was creamy and had a depth of flavor. We absolutely loved our introduction to this restaurant, and it has moved to the top of the list as one of our favorites not only in Pineville but the Charlotte area. We will be back!! It truly was fantastic!!!

    Unfortunately, our appetizers were taken to the wrong table where they were gobbled up. So we were there almost an hour before we received our appetizers. They were delicious! Glad the three of us needed to catch up in that hour of no food. The remainder of our dinner was also delicious. We had a Clemson freshman for our server. She was always on the go and seemed to have too many tables to take care of to be super attentive to each table. But, when she came by, she was quick to bring more water, apologize for missing appetizers, etc.
