   Went for afternoon tea one lunch time and kept seeing plates of delicious food coming out to other diners so went back the next day and had the best fish and chips ever. The afternoon tea is one of the best I’ve ever had too !!! Great little find. Will return

   We have been several times now to The Galley . Always very friendly staff . Choices of food are good and excellent quality. We have been for evening meals, brunch, breakfast and afternoon tea and have never had an issue with any good order . So pleased it is a success in my area and is independent from any chain restaurants.

   Good menu choices and lovely food. Service was good but not really special today. Restaurant was busy and very noisy, probably due to a couple of large party groups and the fact that the decor is all hard with little soft furnishing to absorb noise. Wouldn’t stop me going back- but not really for a special romantic meal.

   We attended the first Steak Night on Friday. Each steak was cooked to perfection and the flavour and texture of the steak was fantastic. We all thoroughly enjoyed the whole meal. Definitely worth a visit and extremely good value for money. My mother-in-law had the Pork Tower which was also delicious. Another excellent meal at The Galley - now the firm family favourite when we eat out.

    Great location, scenic view and very friendly and helpful staff, however, we found the Sunday lunch menu VERY limited and the food mediocre. If you are hoping for an intimate meal for two or a private chat with a friend, this is not the place for you. No atmosphere and no privacy as the tables are far too close together! Okay for a trip out with the children but for us, this restaurant felt more like a cafe.
