Delicious! Truffle fries and buffalo cauliflower were the bomb!
The Gage has a great outdoor patio with lots of warming towers. A great place for a delightful meal or a couple of drinks — or both. Awesome Millennium Park views, too.
Lovely outdoor dining, great service
El lugar muy agradable el problema que solo sirven en terraza y hacia mucho frio pero se entiende por el COVID
Wonderful service from everyone. Everyone made sure that the night was just perfect for my 1year anniversary.
great service, great food. always
One of the best venison burgers I have had - with a bit of spice. The service was very attentive. The weather was nice and they had a nice outdoor seating area along Michigan Ave.
I am a long time fan of The Gage. It was great to enjoy lunch outside on a glorious day in Chicago. As always, the food and service were terrific.
We really like the Gage and live nearby. However, the service on our most recent visit was extremely rushed to the point of being asked if we wanted dessert while my husband was still eating his entree. We felt that was bad form and didn’t enjoy the rushed vibe on a pricier meal.
Always great food and service. They have outside seating for the pandemic. Tables were well spaced and sanitized before seating. Nicely landscaped seating area with lots of heaters. Scanned menu or paper option. I had the roasted chicken Coq au vin style. Just delicious! It was the nicest way to celebrate fall and forget ( for a moment) all the craziness.
Always delicious at the Gage!
One of the better meals we have had at The Gage in a while. Outdoor seating with heat was very nice. Staff was very accommodating. Service was excellent.
Excellent food and great service. We felt like we were glamping while eating next to the heaters. The servers put the cutlery on a plate instead of the table, this was noticed and appreciated. Everything was delicious. That cinnamon roll heats up well and Is just as good the next day as it was in the restaurant. Order one to take home or to a friend.
With all that said, the huevos rancheros needed a well seasoned pico to make it great, and the pancakes were too tough to cut with a fork. I suspect they were over mixed. They were tasty but tough. If ordering for a kid, do so Possibly sans berries and berry sauce.
We will be back sir sure.
A great dining experience all around. The setting is very comfortable with tables shielded from the sidewalk by planter boxes. The heaters work so well that I had to take my jacket off. The menu items the we had included Beef Bourguignon, fish and chips, and several very tasty appetizers. Everything was delicious. The service was as it should be - very attentive and accommodating..
I am a “repeat offender” here and always had a great food experience. This is no exception.
So very good!
Decent American bistro food. Nothing outstanding. The noise level was moderate but that may have been due to covid-19 restrictions. Could be a fun place once the pandemic is over
Had a fabulous Saturday lunch. Our party appreciated the brunch options, too. I'm a picky patron and had absolutely no complaints.
Food, service all excellent.
This is one of the best brunch places we have ever gone to. Their mussels on the appetizer menu is absolutely amazing and the chocolate mint mousse dessert is unbelievable.
Excellent, staff, great food and a great atmosphere.
Was perfect after the Monet exhibit and a pleasurable walk in Millennium Park.
It was nice to finally get out! We were going to sit outside but it wasn't too crowded
so we went in. Our waitress was wonderful the Somalia recommended a delicious wine we don't usually order; we'll order again! Kale salad with lobster for me and Lobster BLT for my husband delicious!
I know it's Covid. I ordered soup and a salad. The soup was bland, bland, bland. Because there are no salt and pepper shakers on table, I couldn't improve it. The salad--mixed greens was fine--over dressed. M friend ordered beets which she said were good but her pasta dish was very light on pasta.
We need places like the Gage to stay open. It starts with the kitchen.
We have been going to the Gage for over 10 years and it never disappoint! The service is great not to mention the cocktails and food.
Love this place. I come here every time I visit Chicago!
Attentive host and well-spoken waiter. Great wine recommendation and flakey, fresh salmon.
Beautiful bar with great drinks. The mussels were phenomenal as well as the salmon and steak.
The brunch menu is below average with only 3 or 4 choices. Definitely not recommended for brunch.
Great robsee the Gage back in business. One of the best bars and restaurants in Chicago. Menu was limited compared to the past but we did not care - open for business and delighted to be eating at the Gage. 5 Stars. Please support your local businesses.
Always a delicious meal with well blended flavors served by a knowledgeable staff.
The food was excellent. We ordered salads with chicken and the chicken was moist and delicious. The service was not great however.
They are doing a great job during Covid. Very accommodating and delicious food.
Food was delicious. Service was also good. We sat outside on a chilly night but next to a heat lamp so that worked too.
Outstanding destination for a casual evening date. Outstanding drinks and food.
Wes is the best!
The patio outside is lovely and spacious. The food service is fast. The food quality is delicious.
Good food but too much noise from bar when I was their and was irritated that when ordering a Coke I got an 8oz bottle for $3.00- Not going back because of that-
Food was very good and service was equally as good
The pumpkin swirl cheesecake was incredible. I can barely remember what else we had.
