The Gage never disappoints - great food, service ambiance.

Service and attention was great. Nice location for a business lunch

One of my favorites and smack in the middle of Millennium Park. Tourist & local friendly (I'm local).

Our server, Mike, provided excellent service. And...the back of the bar is beautiful.

Not as memorable as I would have liked. The salad was ho-hum, service non-attentive. Brought family from out of state, didn't live up to expectations.

Good local beer selection and friendly bartenders. Get the fish and chips!

Food was good. Wait staff were very friendly. If we lived in Chicago this would be part of our regular rotation.

The server took special care of us. The food was delicious the atmosphere lively and the presentation of the drinks was fabulous!

Steak was excellent. It's a bar with tables, so was pretty loud.

The Gage was a lovely place for our family gathering. Not too noisy that we couldn't hear each other and although crowded our table was intimate. Two pluses. As each couple arrived at the restaurant, there were ten of us, we were seated immediately. The second plus, my grandson has food allergies and the chief accommodated him safely and that in itself was totally worth a 5 star rating.

Our waiter was awesome. He recommended certain things on the menu. The food was delicious.

Tables for two are very close to each other so felt like we were part of the next table’s date which is why I gave only 4 stars for ambiance but aside from that it’s a great place. The food was excellent; only detraction was that our entrees came out earlier than we would have liked which curtailed our enjoyment of the cheese plate we ordered as an appetizer and an expensive cocktail my husband ordered that was good with the cheese but not his entree and so he didn’t drink most of it. My husband enjoyed the wild boar and I enjoyed the halibut fish special. For dessert we enjoyed the appfelkuchen (not sure of spelling) which was very tasty.

Venison Burger was delicious waiter was uninterested and unengaged!

The cocktails were excellent. The food was outstanding. The Gage is a superior dining experience.

One of my favorite things about the Gage is the host/hostess, they always take the time to make you feel very welcome😊

We revisited after finding the Gage this summer. We brought our entire family from out of town and HIGHLY recommended the Mussels on the menu. No one was disappointed. And our waiter (Johnny) was attentive and excellent. We'll be back again in the summer to enjoy the outdoor patio view of Millennium Park.

The white cheddar & pear tartine and the PBR battered fried pickles were delicious appetizers and the portions were more than generous for two. Great cocktails and awesome service (shout out to Archie)! Been to this restaurant several times before and never disappointed. 5 stars+ !

My friend and I had a wonderful lunch at The Gage. Our server, Rosie, was amazing. Friendly, knowledgeable, and very attentive. As former servers my friend and I so appreciate great service and Rosie delivered. We had the special, Shepherds’ Pie, which was delicious. Served piping hot in a cast iron pot, we finished every morsel. Couldn’t resist two scoops of the house made sorbet, which was a perfect ending to a marvelous day out. I’ve been to The Gage several times and have never been disappointed. Thanks for doing such an exemplary job. I will return.

Excellent - made reservation just 2 days prior; added an extra person morning of; accomodated with no problems. Advised we would have very little time and need extreme focus from staff in order to return to meeting on time. Provided Palmer House Hilton of this fabulous place as a recommendation for a quick go-to, great food and wonderful staff.

Great place for a business lunch, not too noise and great food. Serviced has always been exceptional!

Venison Burger and fries were very tasty, but the Fish & Chips ..... lacked any real flavor .

Sunday brunch...scotch eggs...yum!! It was a lovely place to go for brunch, busy but not overly so. The food was good and the coffee great!

A family group of 9 had a very enjoyable dinner prior to attending a show at the Chicago Theatre. Everything ran like clockwork. Service was fantastic and the food matched as well. Not one complaint. Would highly recommend for a nice dinner for any occasion.

Have been to The Gage more than a dozen times over the years—food is always wonderful. On this visit, the restaurant was unpleasantly hot, and our waiter got involved with a large table and pretty much forgot about us after the food came. Still, delicious NY Strip, and Venison Rack to die for.
