Great food and service. From soups of the day to desert meal was great. Haven’t had food that good in a long time.
Good restaurant and helpful service. Would recommend.
So great to be back, fabulous staff, food and welcoming!
Of course the Gage was wonderful
Really enjoyed dinner at The Gage. I started off with the Wedge Salad that was so delicious and enjoyed the burger for dinner. Great menu. Next time, I'll have to try some of the cocktails. They looked amazing.
I had super green salad which was excellent. Delicious burger with avocado. Tasty fudge cake. They also validated my parking ticket. Gage never disappoints
The Gage is a staple for our family. We had Father’s Day brunch and it was fabulous, as usual. Always consistent!
I have been going to The Gage since it opened and have loved every single visit. It toes a unique line between neighborhood pub, high-end dining, fabulous cocktail program, and family-friendly cozy hang-out. From quick lunches to special dinners and everything in between, The Gage and their fabulous staff continually provide the most amazing service, delicious food and drinks, and an easy-going, fun atmosphere. I happily recommend it to visitors and locals alike and have never heard a complaint! Every time I leave I'm looking forward to my next visit.
The Gage is one of our favorite restaurants. We took our kids this time and really had a great time.
Brunch was great! Plan on coming back again.
The ambiance and the vibe in this restaurant fit seamlessly into the Chicago night life experience- but the service was not even one star- our server seemed completely uninterested in waiting on my friend and I- had no personality and made us feel like we were an inconvenience to wait on. He never explained anything about the menu and could’ve cared less to offer another round of drinks or bring the dessert menu- we had nothing but amazing and exceptional service at every other place we dined the entire weekend! There are too many places out there to waste your time here, in our opinion- service is EVERYTHING! We still left 20% because we just felt guilty coming out of a pandemic to stiff someone- but he didn’t even seem the least bit appreciative, so we kicked ourselves!
Great go to spot. One of the best in the city
The Gage was very good, the food and the service were exceptional. I would recommend going to this restaurant while in Chicago. We definitely will be back.
Excellent as always, food, drink and wait staff all outstanding. Beautiful contemporary setting with an homage to the millenary. My favorite place to eat when visiting Millenium Park
I have never been disappointed here, the food is always excellent this visit was absolutely no exception.
The Gage is just as good as it was before the pandemic. High quality food and service. Wonderful experience. I had the roast chicken and greatly enjoyed it along with a chilled fresh asparagus soup. Outstanding!
Great wait staff - did not rush us. Great food. One of our favorites.
The Gage was wonderful as usual! The steamed mussels in saffron white wine were delicious. Our server was so friendly and professional.
All-round excellent experience.
Everything was amazing!
Meeting a friend after a long time. He ordered the steak, I had the venison burger. Hearty food but well made.
Food and service not up to very high preCovid standards.
Loved the beet salad - delicious! Hamburger was great as well. Our server was attentive.
On a very busy Monday, the last day of the Monet exhibit across the street at the Art Institute, we were seated within 5 minutes of our 1 PM reservation. I asked for a booth and we got the 1/2 booth, which is actually perfect for 2. Even though it was packed, we were served promptly. The food was delicious and just what we ordered. I have been to The Gage many times and I'm never disappointed. The only thing I wish is that there was a more convenient bathrooms. They're down some challenging steps and then around a corner. As a senior, this is inconvenient.
Great choice of historic cocktails! Server showed just the right amount of attorney. Food was delicious.
French omelet was good. Menu description included zucchini, spinach and brie. There was 1 piece of zucchini, the rest was squash, it was fine, I was just looking forward to zucchini.
The yogurt parfait was one of the best .
Really nice venue which was buzzing. Great service, great burger and a nice cold beer to wash it down. I will be back.
Service was poor. It’s a busy spot and it feels like they are trying to rush you out. Server was patronizing. Food was decent but over priced. Makes sense because it is a tourist spot. Love the ambiance.
Good food, great service, good wine selections all made for an enjoyable evening
Rosie, our server was wonderful.
The Gage staff was at the top of their game last night. The hosts greeted us and accommodated our seating preference immediately. We sat at the bar and were well taken care of by the bartender and team from start to finish. Great food and drinks, as always! All this keeps us coming back—-
The Gage never lets us down. We've been going there ever since our wedding night in 2008 and it is always a great experience.
Great food. Nice wine selection.
Excellent food and service (by Maggie), but just a tad pricey.
The creme brulee is poetry on a plate
The ambience is outstanding. There is just enough light to see what you are eating, but at the same time to not overtake the whole room. It is as if the brick walls and the hollow space that they surround are are softly enveloped in each other. The tables are private and nicely spaced so that there is enough room between them so that you aren't hearing the conversations of tables other then your own. There is a nice bar at the back. Food is decent though a bit pricey. Nonetheless, the desserts are definitely worth it ( highly recommend the strawberry truffle sunday). The drinks are also great. The servers are very friendly, sweet, kind, sociable, and considerate. The smiles on their faces are ones of genuine love for their job. Definitely worth a visit!
Meal was amazing. Drinks were delicious. We needed to pull our phones out to look at the menu.
Our server was unfriendly, slow and borderline rude. He seemed to want nothing more than to get us out of there.
