"Exceptional to Perfection"

This historic Victorian Jersey Shore inn is open nightly for dinner during the summer season, and Thursday through Sunday from Fall to Spring. We also host memorable private parties and weddings in this most romantic of settings.

Gables is a nice restaurant. The food and service were both very good. The experience is different from other restaurants on the island, it’s quieter, slower paced and has somewhat of a southern vibe.

Very good! Great food and service. Special. One issue… Had a upstairs area which was very nice with pleasant sky view …. but at some point in beginning of dinner the manager or staff removed a strategically placed decorative table to use elsewhere in the restaurant’s… and the view through the door was suddenly open more and looking down upon the ally and a not so nice view of trash cans etc from next door. Lucky the sun was setting after some time.

Celebrating Mother’s Day with my Sisters and Dad! What a special place to celebrate! The food was delicious and the service was top notch! I can’t wait to come back for my anniversary in July ❤️

Gables is great. The atmosphere/ambience is so beautiful. The food and service are always excellent. My only suggestion is to bring back the ala carte menu. We live only a few blocks away and eat there infrequently due to the $130pp prix fixe menu. Too steep for regular dining. Additionally, we do not normally eat three courses.

This place was way beyond 5 stars ! The staff was so friendly and attentive! The atmosphere was just so nice, and not formal. the food was delicious ( although a bit of a limited menu ). Sometimes, gourmet food is skimpy, but this was just the right proportion for every course! Other clients there were also friendly, but everyone seemed to be locals before the summer rush comes in. Next time, I think we're staying over night !

We have lived in the area for over 35 years and have never been to the restaurant but have heard great things about it. The decor was lovely and the food was outstanding. It was a pre fixe priced for three courses. While the restaurant is a bit pricey, the food was exceptional. A great Easter dinner!!
