We waited for 45 minutes literally and were never even asked what we wanted to drink. After 20 minutes I asked for a water and never received it. We were very excited to try this establishment and was truly disappointed that we didn’t have the opportunity due to never being served or even asked what we would like to drink.

Service was so bad, they took their sweet time, our food was extremely greasy and touching each other. Once we complained they said we couldn’t get a refund because of their policy even though the food wasn’t touched. Our server was rude about it. Good place to catch a vibe but the food and the service don’t make it worth it.

The service and food was great but it was hard to enjoy the meal or dining experience as the music was soooooo loud I had to keep asking waitress to repeat herself because we couldn’t hear a word she was saying over top of the music, and yes she was speaking up , the other thing was that I couldn’t relax in my seat bcz of the vibration from the wall on my back & seat area from the bass in the speakers and having to lean forward to yell at the person I was with just to converse. I would think that I would return just whenever the DJ wasn’t there, but then again if they didn’t value my business by having the DJ turn the music down just a tad bit as I asked to speak with the owner and told the owner wasn’t there, there are still many other reviews stating the same and older customers coming in and going back out bcz of the volume of the music, then it’s not a place I’d want to continue to support. Brunch is geared more for the young hip hop Club people, while I loved most of the music, the volume definitely does not give Upscale vibes.

We were seated prior to our reservation. The customer service was great. I had the fried deviled eggs with shrimp and the fish and grits. The fish was well seasoned, the grits was creamy and the deviled eggs were delicious. The only issue I had was with the deviled eggs. If you don’t eat them immediately and allow them to sit too long they become tough and rubbery.

It was our first time here. I was skeptical because of all the mix reviews. I must say we were seated quickly. Food came out in timely manner it was hot. The waitress was great. The host on the other hand made me upset I tried to tell her we had a reservation for the gallery it was like I was talking to the wall.

I made a reservation and it took almost 20 minutes to even be served or recognized. I ordered the shrimp and grits and the only thing that was good was the shrimp. The grits had no flavor. It was very bland and expensive.

Pros: great service, drinks and food presentation Cons: feels gritty, like a downtown pub. The artwork was nice, but the walls needed paint bad and the bathrooms were scary. Felt like I was in a bar that happened to serve food rather than a restaurant that happens to have a bar. Food was under seasoned. Has potential to be best brunch spot in town.

Extremely overpriced. Menu is not diverse at all. We tried to order from the drink menu and the waitress kept telling us we could only order mimosas but wouldn’t tell us why. After reading the issue they revealed that they don’t have a liquor license so the drink menu is pointless. Will never visit again,

The ambience was really nice, however that’s doesn’t make up for the terrible service that was provided. I know we went on a busy day but that still doesn’t answer the waitress lack of hospitality. We arrived and was immediately seated. Upon us getting ready to order our appetizers we was rudely interrupted and stated that we had to place everything in at once, understandably so because the business level. We waited about 15 -25 minutes for our drinks and appetizers, after wards we did not see our server again for 50 minutes. The food was brought out to us Ice cold, and we didn’t have any drinks after wards. We saw our serve comp others part of their meals for the lengthy wait although they arrived 30 months after we did. We went our entire experience with no help.

We waited over 20 min for water when we first arrived . The server was very nice but kept forgetting about us it felt like . It was a time when it was not that busy and we order appetizers and they came out a little before the food , but we ordered them way before hand . The food was very good and hot and fresh , just the service of waiting and never getting refills and when we did we had to ask but it was clear our glasses were empty .

The ambience was nice. The food selections were adequate, however the quality was subpar. For example, the collards were egregiously undercooked, lacked seasoning, and the temperature was not conducive with the wait time. The sides did not accompany the entree, they were brought out sporadically. The cocktails lacked alcohol. The server was pleasant and apologetic, but I would be hesitant to visit this establishment again.

I went with my best friends to unwind from a busy week. The food was amazing and the ambiance had me rocking in my seat eating and enjoying some of my favorite songs from their live dj! Definitely got me in the perfect mood on a Saturday 😊

So let’s start with the server! Honey Ms. See for us right together lol her customer service was a 10/10! She was so pleasant, patient and delightful. I wish I could’ve tipped her more(ballin on a budget over here lol) but she deserves a raise! Lol now, The food was great. I had fried chicken breast with mini red velvet waffles(that had red velvet cake crumbles in that hoe) & my cousin had catfish and grits. And we shared a Mac and cheese. Babbyyyy they food good lol I’m a big girl and I love me some food. Baby that food was so damn good! Lol then instead of mimosa floats, we got a bottle of champagne and 4 juices for $65 and baby to me, that’s a steal. Lol by the time we got out of there, we was full, lit, had leftovers and ready for naps lol the only “critique” I have is the mac and cheese needs just a little bit more flavor. Me personally, I like mine with a little bit more cheese(maybe a Gouda or Parmesan) & that would’ve set it off! But y’all gone try em out! You won’t be disappointed!

My friends and I went for a Sunday brunch and wow what a disappointing experience we had. From the service to the food to the bill. We ordered the coffee flight, thought it would be fun and we are always up for something new. We asked our waitress if they were cold or hot, she assured us they were iced. The only one that had ice in it was the chai latte, the other ones were room temp and it was not pleasant. That’s why we asked in the beginning. So we had them sent back. Our food- we ordered the chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits and the skillet with added scrambled eggs. Our waitress didn’t write our order down and sure enough the skillet came without the eggs and she came back twice to our table to confirm what our orders were. And when we told her there was no eggs, all she did was say “oh sorry” no alternative or anything. The worst part it took almost 2 hours for our food!! That’s absolutely ridiculous. And then when we got our bill, we were just ready to go so we didn’t even pay attention, paid and got out but then when sitting in the car, we pulled up the menu and realized the waitress charged us for the flight of coffee we never drank and the added eggs that were never in the skillet. Just really Poor experience all around. We won’t be back and we won’t recommend.

This is a “must have” dining experience; especially for those of us of melanated skin and spirit. The food was seasoned very well; not salty and definitely not bland. There was a DJ when we went and the music perfectly set the vibe. We didn’t have to scream to talk with one another and we danced in our seats (that May also be because we have foodie happy dances, too)! The only issue was being seated. The host told us it would be an hour and a half to two hour wait but did not have a wait list. So we made a reservation for an hour later after waiting in line for 40 minutes. When we returned for our reservation, the host told us he could not honor our reservation because he had already seen us and sat us at the very back of the restaurant instead of in the gallery where we requested. He steadily redeemed himself and our experience throughout our meal by checking on us and making light banter with us. This restaurant is a whole grown folks and family friendly brunch vibe! You must visit!

I ate at The Friends Table on a Saturday for my upcoming birthday. We had an 11am appointment and were seated shortly after our arrival. Staff was friendly and helpful and checked on us throughout our stay. There was a live DJ upstairs which made it all the more enjoyable! Awesome vibe and my Best Friend and I were able to sing along, dance in our seats and enjoy the great vibe and hip hop music. I look forward to returning to try more menu items. The food was very good!

This is my second visit to TFT, with my first visit being at their previous location. If I’m being honest the vibe was way more professional and classy at the previous location. I’m rating this current experience 3 stars to be supportive of a black owned business. It wasn’t a busy day. The hosts were huddled around the host stand upon arrival and continued to huddle and converse while my party waited on seating. I reserved gallery seating, but we were led to seating next to kitchen. When asked about the gallery, we were told that the tables are usually dirty and they didn’t want to take us upstairs in case there was no availability. We asked the host to check, and when he returned he told us there was one reserved table available. As we waited in the booth in the gallery section, someone asked us what we wanted to drink although we were never presented with menus. They apologized and gave us one menu to share. Our waitress was nice and was very informative about the menu and what was unavailable. To be honest, there was an items that were unavailable that we wanted to try (alcohol - not including champagne and most of the coffee menu). The atmosphere was decent, but the music volume and genre fluctuated. It quickly switched back and forth from 90s R&B to uncensored rap music. Personally I don’t mind some Migos, but I’m not sure if it were appropriate for the time of day especially uncensored. The catfish was very good and seasoned and the best part of the experience. The chicken could have been fried more, but that could be a personal preference. I do believe the food and service was better downtown, but I would love to see the success of TFT. Sorry for the lengthy complaint, but know I’m rooting for you.
