The Friendly Society is Elora's best-loved neighborhood restaurant. The decor is romantic yet rustic, the vibe is hip and comfortable, and the atmosphere is always welcoming. It is located on the river, steps from the Elora Mill, with a licensed patio and live music in the summer.

Chef Marc Gebran offers classic elevated comfort food with a focus on local and seasonal ingredients. Our well-stocked bar offers a wide range of beers, a lovingly-curated wine list, and a full cocktail menu.

Highlights include Sunday brunch, summer cocktails on the patio, a romantic date night, and dinner with friends.

    The Friendly Society is an amazing establishment with exceptional food and a warm and welcoming staff. The ambiance is probably the best in town and the local art provides a unique atmosphere. I would one hundred percent recommend this restaurant on every level!

    We went for Sunday Brunch on the Easter weekend. The brunch menu is unique - some old faves and new items to try. Portions are small but perfect if you're trying something new, so be brave. Service was fast and friendly - food was hot and tasty. We will go back. Definite 10/10

    We enjoyed our lunch today. This is one of the best places around to grab a bite. Great people great food great atmosphere.

    I love everything about The friendly Society. A friend introduced me here a few years ago and it’s my go to place in Elora. Never a disappointment. Go try it—you’ll love it too!

    It was our first time there, staff were very friendly, food was all delicious. We will definitely be back.

    It was an enjoyable experience. I particularly like that the fish and chips were not cooked from frozen fish and chips.
