About Da Francesco
Welcome to a taste of Italy in the heart of Brooklyn.
This Neapolitan owned oasis is an unquestionable favorite by the local community in Williamsburg. The food represents the traditional recipes from the homeland of Naples and is influenced by the modern taste of the trendy Brooklyn neighborhood. The Francesco's passion for Italian cuisine is embodied by Salerno-born chef, Francesco Cuozzo. Chef Cuozzo insists on serving his guests only the most authentic Italian products available. The menu features Northern and Southern Italian delicacies such as imported cheeses and cured meats, wild game, and homemade pastas.
The Francesco offers affordable pricing, and a full bar with innovative wine selections. The ambiance is quite enchanting; candlelit tables, exposed brick walls, sky-lit ceiling, perfect for a casual dinner al fresco or an intimate night out. Located in the heart of Williamsburg's historic Italian district.

Da Francesco Ratings and Reviews
The food was excellent - the Vodka Penne with shrimp was superb, as was the Salmon encrusted with pistachio - as was the friendly service and homey atmosphere. It was a fun and romantic date night for us before we went to Brooklyn Steel, which is just a few blocks away.
Came here on a date with my girlfriend. I could not have asked for more from my dining experience at Da Francesco. The food was some of the best I've had in quite some time (that says a lot living in NYC). The service was impeccable. Never felt rushed, but also never waited for anything we needed. Already planned our next visit to try some of the other items on the menu!
Excellent food, and fantastic service. We were a group of 8 and the server recommended appetizers for the table - they were plentiful and yummy. One person did not order a full meal but tried everyone’s dish (yes that person :) and could not stop raving about every bite she tried. I ordered the veal chop and it was cooked to absolute perfection. My Dad declared the place a “home run”. Everyone was happy and full. Great spot.
Absolutely terrific visit. The staff is so professional and friendly. In a nutshell, the restaurant is very pleasant. My kids and I really enjoyed the dessert. The entree and appetizer was tasty as well. Thank you all very much. We will return with more people.
If you are looking for an Italian meal like your Nonna. Used to make , but with a sophisticated twist you found it here. I love this restaurant.
The atmosphere is lovely. There is Italian music playing in the background , and the waiters are very attentive.
The chef makes a unique gnocchi dish that is my favorite as is the grilled octopus and calamari
This is probably my favorite Italian restaurant. The food is always top notch. Service is not quick but is very pleasant. Lovely room. They sometimes have live entertainment as they did when we were here. Italian standards and old OLD favorites. My "kids" (28 and 29) enjoyed the entertainment too. We had the short ribs, fresh spicy pasta, chicken roasted and another homemade pasta. All were delicious. Clams, artichokes, lentil soup and calamari (THE BEST EVER) were the apps. Didn't have room for dessert.
Another wonderful time here. I had the veal chop which was out of this world. Served with mashed potatoes. The calamari is a must when dining here. There was music when we went, two Elvis impersonators and it was so much fun! I highly recommend this restaurant. We also asked the bartender is she made coconut mojitos and she said she didn't but would make them for us. I can honestly say it was one of the best coconut mojitos we have ever had.
Food was good, ambiance was nice until we found out it was Live Music night and made the decision to move outside, which helped but put us a bit out of sight out of mind for service. When they came by it was good, but they didn't come by often. If you are looking for a space for quiet conversation, call ahead and find out if the Frank Sinatra live singer is there first.
Pretty good but Branzino tasteless. Waiter said I'll prepare it differently. Still no taste. Did not check back. $24 wasted. Daughter went home and ate. Everything else good. Would have been great except for the tasteless Branzino. Will not return. Too many other places
Ciao, the Octopus appetizer was delicious, the salad was very good. Now, after 30 minutes of just waiting needed to go up and ask for bread, finally they take our order, 2 Halibut dinners. After another 30 minutes we are told they ran out. We get 1 flounder and 1 tuna dish. Absolutely horrible, the tuna they should have thrown away weeks ago, the flounder was ok at best. Will give another try....Bar tender was great....
Went last Saturday night for a get together with family and friends. There happened to be live music that night which was great, there was even dancing after a certain time. The food was amazing, had the short ribs special, it melted in your mouth. Calamari is out of this world, a must try!! All our appetizers were delicious. One of my favorite restaurants!
