   Great place - best table in front of the fireplace. Unfortunately a few vegan and vegetarian choices were not available for some reason which was disappointing. Ordered the beetroot mushroom and horseradish pasty as a starter which was mainly pastry and a tiny amount of filling. Could not taste any horseradish. The veggie nut roast was delicious though, as was the apple and rhubarb crumble for dessert. Service was wonderful.

   Another great Sunday lunch at the Foxhouses - really good food - also gluten free option which is very welcome. Highly recommended.

   Again nice comfortable dining experience with good staff and lovely location would not hesitate to recommend.

   I booked a table for lunch and got a phone call at 10pm the evening before we were due to dine to say that the restaurant couldn’t accommodate us at the time selected. The boy I spoke to wasn’t apologetic nor did he explain why. All he said was that they were really busy. Very disappointed with the service I received. If you book to go, it may be a good idea to book another restaurant as a back up!

   Got there to find no opentable booking in my name, despite the email confirmations - so was lucky to get table. Thought price too high for the small portion of roast beef we were served, and cheese board rather uninspiring.

   Overall fairly good, however Sunday Lunch price ranges from £10.50 - £13.50 seems a little expensive for nothing that can be out classed elsewhere.

   It was very easy to book and the table was ready when we arrived. The waitress was very pleasant and attentive and the service was speedy. The meals were good and excellent value for money.

   Again an excellent service provided from start to finish Sunday afternoon lunch was outstanding. Staff always welcoming and pleasant. A pleasure to go to and enjoy the view and excellent food.

    We'd arranged to walk in the area with friends and so we decided to book lunch. Three of us had the duck special and the other the lamb shank. The duck was cooked to perfection and as always the meat fell off the bone on the lamb shank. It's a busy pub and quite rightly so. I look forward to our next visit.
