W are still working our way through the the Sunday lunch menu. Plenty of choice and plenty of Sundays to go!

As usual good food, attentive staff, highly recommended. We eat and drink here regularly so it's got to be good.

Great selection of food and drinks and friendly efficient service too. So good we booked in again!

Having been for the first time in December 2019, we knew what to expect in January. We were not disappointed.

Greeted with a warm welcome and the best prosecco around the moorlands. Food is always fresh and hot with never a long wait. Would recommend anyone to try it .

Very enjoyable meal, having a starter we lost the appetite for the large main meal, even so more is better than less.

the meal was quite good but slightly disappointed as meal didn't meet previous standard think chef was off . lovely waitress who answered all my American friends difficult questions she was vpleasant and efficient

Great service and really helpful staff. We arrived early and they moved our booking forward so we could eat straight away. The portions were big and the food was tasty. Really good location, nice atmosphere and would definitely recommend. 5 Stars :)

Sunday lunch was excellent today, great choice of roasts and plenty on the plate - we'll be back!

Stayed locally on a 2 week holiday and ate here on 5 occasions. The staff were alway very polite, friendly, helpful & the service was quick. Really enjoyed the food on all occasions. It's good honest pub grub made with quality products. I loved the gammon steak!

Two for one night on Tuesday excellent value for money - with good choices

Tried the two steaks and a bottle of wine for £30, again. Rib eyes cooked perfectly. A live 80's band played as well. Very enjoyable, will be back.

Visited for tea on recommendation, we were staying just up the road at Shawgatw Farm. We were greeted by the friendly lady working behind the bar, she offered us a drink and told us to take a seat, a few minutes later we were show to our table, we were advised to book and glad we did as every table was reserved! We had two lovely starters (mozzarella dippers and hot & spicy chicken wings) both were delicious. For mains my son had the burger, and I had the gammon, both were very tasty, the homemade chips are to die for. It was a nice atmosphere in the room and very family friendly. We also had desserts rum & raisin ice cream for me and chocolate fudge cake for my son, once again very nice. There was a quiz night on and everyone was so friendly. I will definitely come back again if in the area.

Good value for the money. We had the two steaks and a bottle of wine special for £30. Asked for medium steaks as one was a fillet, got them medium rare, not a problem for me, but a bit rate for the wife. Not worth the hassle in sending them back. Generally a good meal. We will be back as we live locally.

Excellent meal as always, we treated my mother to a meal on Mother's Day and she was very impressed, excellent Sunday roast, very reasonably priced and attentive staff, highly recommend and it's my local pub so the location is perfect for us also!

I went to the Fox and Goose with my daughter for dinner during the week. The atmosphere was really cosy, the food was lovely with a fantastic service. I will be recommending to my friends and family.

Always get an excellent meal when eating here, we ate here on Steak night and everything was cooked to perfection, the offer of 2 steaks with a bottle of wine was excellent value! Highly recommend!

This lovely village pub serves beautifully cooked pub staples and is very comfortable. If you fancy a steak or fish and chips you can't do better and there are plenty of other choices on the menu like a delicious mediterranean veg risotto.

Ant and Huw are wonderful hosts and there's a warm fire going in the bar in winter. There's a large dining area with gorgeous views as well as a cosy bar.

After a number of woeful years and serial landlords, the Fox and Goose was taken over by a consortium of people from Foxt village itself and has since gone from strength to strength. With new kitchens and building renovations done, what was once a rather dreary watering hole has been transformed into a welcoming pub that really is at the heart of the village.
